- I sink in deep mire, where there is no standing: I am come into deep waters, where the floods overflow me.

- They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of mine head: they that would destroy me, being mine enemies wrongfully, are mighty: then I restored that which I took not away.
- O God, thou knowest my foolishness; and my sins are not hid from thee.

- 神よ， わたしをお 救いください． 大水が 流れ 來て， わたしの 首にまで 達しました．
- わたしは 足がかりもない 深い 泥の 中に 沈みました． わたしは 深い 水に 陷り， 大水がわたしの 上を 流れ 過ぎました．
- わたしは 叫びによって 疲れ， わたしののどはかわき， わたしの 目は 神を 待ちわびて 衰えました．
- ゆえなく， わたしを 憎む 者は ／わたしの 頭の 毛よりも 多く， 僞ってわたしの 敵となり， わたしを 滅ぼそうとする 者は 强いのです． わたしは 盜まなかった 物をも ／償わなければならないのですか．
- 神よ， あなたはわたしの 愚かなことを ／知っておられます． わたしのもろもろのとがは ／あなたに 隱れることはありません．

- Let not them that wait on thee, O Lord GOD of hosts, be ashamed for my sake: let not those that seek thee be confounded for my sake, O God of Israel.
- Because for thy sake I have borne reproach; shame hath covered my face.
- I am become a stranger unto my brethren, and an alien unto my mother's children.
- For the zeal of thine house hath eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached thee are fallen upon me.
- When I wept, and chastened my soul with fasting, that was to my reproach.

- 万軍の 神， 主よ， あなたを 待ち 望む 者が ／わたしの 事によって， はずかしめられることのないようにしてください． イスラエル の 神よ， あなたを 求める 者が ／わたしの 事によって， 恥を 負わせられることのないようにしてください．
- わたしはあなたのためにそしりを 負い， 恥がわたしの 顔をおおったのです．
- わたしはわが 兄弟には， 知らぬ 者となり， わが 母の 子らには， のけ 者となりました．
- あなたの 家を 思う 熱心がわたしを 食いつくし， あなたをそしる 者のそしりが ／わたしに 及んだからです．
- わたしが 斷食をもってわたしの 魂を 惱ませば， かえってそれによってそしりをうけました．

- I made sackcloth also my garment; and I became a proverb to them.
- They that sit in the gate speak against me; and I was the song of the drunkards.
- But as for me, my prayer is unto thee, O LORD, in an acceptable time: O God, in the multitude of thy mercy hear me, in the truth of thy salvation.
- Deliver me out of the mire, and let me not sink: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and out of the deep waters.
- Let not the waterflood overflow me, neither let the deep swallow me up, and let not the pit shut her mouth upon me.

- わたしが 荒布を 衣とすれば， かえって 彼らのことわざとなりました．
- わたしは 門に 座する 者の 話題となり， 醉いどれの 歌となりました．
- しかし 主よ， わたしはあなたに 祈ります． 神よ， 惠みの 時に， あなたのいつくしみの 豊かなるにより， わたしにお 答えください．
- あなたのまことの 救により， わたしを 泥の 中に 沈まぬよう 助け 出してください． わたしを 憎む 者から， また 深い 水からわたしを 助け 出してください．
- 大水がわたしの 上を 流れ 過ぎることなく， 淵がわたしをのむことなく， 穴がその 口をわたしの 上に 閉じることのないように ／してください．
