	요한복음 4:27-4:54 예수님이 메시아이심을 알게 된 여인은 사람들에게 달려가 예수님을 전했다. 그 결과 사마리아의 많은 사람들이 예수님을 믿었다. 예수님은 갈릴리 가나에서 왕의 신하의 간청을 들으시고 그의 아들의 병을 고쳐 주셨다.

	사마리아 여인의 전도(4:27-4:42)

And upon this came his disciples, and marvelled that he talked with the woman: yet no man said, What seekest thou? or, Why talkest thou with her?

The woman then left her waterpot, and went her way into the city, and saith to the men,

Come, see a man, which told me all things that ever I did: is not this the Christ?

Then they went out of the city, and came unto him.

In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat.

そのとき，弟子たちが歸って來て，イエスがひとりの女と話しておられるのを見て不思議に思ったが，しかし，「何を求めておられますか」とも，「何を彼女と話しておられるのですか」とも，尋ねる者はひとりもなかった．

この女は水がめをそのままそこに置いて町に行き，人¿に言った，

「わたしのしたことを何もかも，言いあてた人がいます．さあ，見にきてごらんなさい．もしかしたら，この人がキリストかも知れません」．

人¿は町を出て，ぞくぞくとイエスのところへ行った．

その間に弟子たちはイエスに，「先生，召しあがってください」とすすめた．

But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of.

Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat?

Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.

Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

And he that reapeth receiveth wages, and gathereth fruit unto life eternal: that both he that soweth and he that reapeth may rejoice together.

ところが，イエスは言われた，「わたしには，あなたがたの知らない食物がある」．

そこで，弟子たちが互に言った，「だれかが，何か食べるものを持ってきてさしあげたのであろうか」．

イエスは彼らに言われた，「わたしの食物というのは，わたしをつかわされたかたのみこころを行い，そのみわざをなし遂げることである．

あなたがたは，刈入れ時が來るまでには，まだ四か月あると，言っているではないか．しかし，わたしはあなたがたに言う．目をあげて畑を見なさい．はや色づいて刈入れを待っている．

刈る者は報酬を受けて，永遠の命に至る實を集めている．まく者も刈る者も，共¿に喜ぶためである．

And herein is that saying true, One soweth, and another reapeth.

I sent you to reap that whereon ye bestowed no labour: other men laboured, and ye are entered into their labours.

And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, which testified, He told me all that ever I did.

So when the Samaritans were come unto him, they besought him that he would tarry with them: and he abode there two days.

And many more believed because of his own word;

そこで，『ひとりがまき，ひとりが刈る』ということわざが，ほんとうのこととなる．

わたしは，あなたがたをつかわして，あなたがたがそのために勞苦しなかったものを刈りとらせた．ほかの人¿が勞苦し，あなたがたは，彼らの勞苦の實にあずかっているのである」．

さて，この町からきた多くのサマリヤ人は，「この人は，わたしのしたことを何もかも言いあてた」とあかしした女の言葉によって，イエスを信じた．

そこで，サマリヤ人たちはイエスのもとにきて，自分たちのところに滯在していただきたいと願ったので，イエスはそこにふつか滯在された．

そしてなお多くの人¿が，イエスの言葉を聞いて信じた．

And said unto the woman, Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world.

彼らは女に言った，「わたしたちが信じるのは，もうあなたが話してくれたからではない．自分自身で親しく聞いて，この人こそまことに世の救主であることが，わかったからである」．

	신하의 아들 치유(4:43-4:54)

Now after two days he departed thence, and went into Galilee.

For Jesus himself testified, that a prophet hath no honour in his own country.

Then when he was come into Galilee, the Galilaeans received him, having seen all the things that he did at Jerusalem at the feast: for they also went unto the feast.

So Jesus came again into Cana of Galilee, where he made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman, whose son was sick at Capernaum.

When he heard that Jesus was come out of Judaea into Galilee, he went unto him, and besought him that he would come down, and heal his son: for he was at the point of death.

ふつかの後に，イエスはここを去ってガリラヤへ行かれた．

イエスはみずからはっきり，「預言者は自分の故鄕では敬われないものだ」と言われたのである．

ガリラヤに着かれると，ガリラヤの人たちはイエスを歡迎した．それは，彼らも祭に行っていたので，その祭の時，イエスがエルサレムでなされたことをことごとく見ていたからである．

イエスは，またガリラヤのカナに行かれた．そこは，かつて水をぶどう酒にかえられた所である．ところが，病氣をしているむすこを持つある役人がカペナウムにいた．

この人が，ユダヤからガリラヤにイエスのきておられることを聞き，みもとにきて，カペナウムに下って，彼の子をなおしていただきたいと，願った．その子が死にかかっていたからである．

Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.

The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die.

Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way.

And as he was now going down, his servants met him, and told him, saying, Thy son liveth.

Then enquired he of them the hour when he began to amend. And they said unto him, Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.

そこで，イエスは彼に言われた，「あなたがたは，しるしと奇跡とを見ない限り，決して信じないだろう」．

この役人はイエスに言った，「主よ，どうぞ，럔 供が死なないうちにきて下さい」．

イエスは彼に言われた，「お歸りなさい．あなたのむすこは助かるのだ」．彼は自分に言われたイエスの言葉を信じて歸って行った．

その下って行く途中，僕たちが彼に出會い，その子が助かったことを告げた．

そこで，彼は僕たちに，そのなおりはじめた時刻を尋ねてみたら，「きのうの午後一時に熱が引きました」と答えた．

So the father knew that it was at the same hour, in the which Jesus said unto him, Thy son liveth: and himself believed, and his whole house.

This is again the second miracle that Jesus did, when he was come out of Judaea into Galilee.

それは，イエスが「あなたのむすこは助かるのだ」と言われたのと同じ時刻であったことを，この父は知って，彼自身もその家族一同も信じた．

これは，イエスがユダヤからガリラヤにきてなされた第二のしるしである．
