- And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
- And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
- And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
- And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
- And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every nation under heaven.

- 五旬節の 日がきて， みんなの 者が 一緖に 集まっていると，
- 突然， 激しい 風が 吹いてきたような 音が 天から 起ってきて， 一同がすわっていた 家いっぱいに 響きわたった．
- また， 舌のようなものが， 炎のように 分れて 現れ， ひとりびとりの 上にとどまった．
- すると， 一同は 聖靈に 滿たされ， 御靈が 語らせるままに， いろいろの 他國の 言葉で 語り 出した．
- さて， エルサレム には， 天下のあらゆる 國¿から， 信仰深い ユダヤ 人たちがきて 住んでいたが，

- Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.
- And they were all amazed and marvelled, saying one to another, Behold, are not all these which speak Galilaeans?
- And how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?
- Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and the dwellers in Mesopotamia, and in Judaea, and Cappadocia, in Pontus, and Asia,
- Phrygia, and Pamphylia, in Egypt, and in the parts of Libya about Cyrene, and strangers of Rome, Jews and proselytes,

- この 物音に 大ぜいの 人が 集まってきて， 彼らの 生れ 故鄕の 國語で， 使徒たちが 話しているのを， だれもかれも 聞いてあっけに 取られた．
- そして 驚き 怪しんで 言った， 「見よ， いま 話しているこの 人たちは， 皆 ガリラヤ 人ではないか．
- それだのに， わたしたちがそれぞれ， 生れ 故鄕の 國語を 彼らから 聞かされるとは， いったい， どうしたことか．
- わたしたちの 中には， パルテヤ 人， メジヤ 人， エラム 人もおれば， メソポタミヤ ， ユダヤ ， カパドキヤ ， ポント と アジヤ ，
- フルギヤ と パンフリヤ ， エジプト と クレネ に 近い リビヤ 地方などに 住む 者もいるし， また ロ ― マ 人で 旅にきている 者，

- Cretes and Arabians, we do hear them speak in our tongues the wonderful works of God.
- And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying one to another, What meaneth this?
- Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.
- But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice, and said unto them, Ye men of Judaea, and all ye that dwell at Jerusalem, be this known unto you, and hearken to my words:
- For these are not drunken, as ye suppose, seeing it is but the third hour of the day.

- ユダヤ 人と 改宗者， クレテ 人と アラビヤ 人もいるのだが， あの 人¿がわたしたちの 國語で， 神の 大きな ¿きを 述べるのを 聞くとは， どうしたことか 」．
- みんなの 者は 驚き 惑って， 互に 言い 合った， 「これは， いったい， どういうわけなのだろう 」．
- しかし， ほかの 人たちはあざ 笑って， 「あの 人たちは 新しい 酒で 醉っているのだ 」と 言った．
- そこで， ペテロ が 十一人の 者と 共に 立ちあがり， 聲をあげて 人人に 語りかけた． 「ユダヤ の 人たち， ならびに エルサレム に 住むすべてのかたがた， どうか， この 事を 知っていただきたい． わたしの 言うことに 耳を 傾けていただきたい．
- 今は 朝の 九時であるから， この 人たちは， あなたがたが 思っているように， 酒に 醉っているのではない．

- But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;
- And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
- And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:
- And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke:
- The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come:

- そうではなく， これは 預言者 ヨエル が 預言していたことに 外ならないのである． すなわち，
- 『神がこう 仰せになる． 終りの 時には， ／わたしの 靈をすべての 人に 注ごう． そして， あなたがたのむすこ 娘は 預言をし， ／若者たちは 幻を 見， ／老人たちは 夢を 見るであろう．
- その 時には， わたしの 男女の 僕たちにも ／わたしの 靈を 注ごう． そして 彼らも 預言をするであろう．
- また， 上では， 天に 奇跡を 見せ， ／下では， 地にしるしを， ／すなわち， 血と 火と 立ちこめる 煙とを， ／見せるであろう．
- 主の 大いなる 輝かしい 日が 來る 前に， ／日はやみに ／月は 血に 變るであろう．

- And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.
- Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know:
- Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain:
- Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it.
- For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:

- そのとき， 主の 名を 呼び 求める 者は， ／みな 救われるであろう 』．
- イスラエル の 人たちよ， 今わたしの 語ることを 聞きなさい． あなたがたがよく 知っているとおり， ナザレ 人 イエス は， 神が 彼をとおして， あなたがたの 中で 行われた 數¿の 力あるわざと 奇跡としるしとにより， 神からつかわされた 者であることを， あなたがたに 示されたかたであった．
- この イエス が 渡されたのは 神の 定めた 計畵と 予知とによるのであるが， あなたがたは 彼を 不法の 人¿の 手で 十字架につけて 殺した．
- 神はこの イエス を 死の 苦しみから 解き 放って， よみがえらせたのである． イエス が 死に 支配されているはずはなかったからである．
- ダビデ は イエス についてこう 言っている， ／『わたしは 常に 目の 前に 主を 見た． 主は， わたしが 動かされないため， ／わたしの 右にいて 下さるからである．

- Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
- Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.
- Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.
- Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.
- Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;

- それゆえ， わたしの 心は 樂しみ， ／わたしの 舌はよろこび 歌った． わたしの 肉體もまた， 望みに 生きるであろう．
- あなたは， わたしの 魂を 黃泉に 捨ておくことをせず， ／あなたの 聖者が 朽ち 果てるのを， お 許しにならない ／であろう．
- あなたは， いのちの 道をわたしに 示し， ／み 前にあって， わたしを 喜びで 滿たして 下さるであ ／ろう 』．
- 兄弟たちよ， 族長 ダビデ については， わたしはあなたがたにむかって 大膽に 言うことができる． 彼は 死んで 葬られ， 現にその 墓が 今日に 至るまで， わたしたちの 間に 殘っている．
- 彼は 預言者であって， 『その 子孫のひとりを 王位につかせよう 』と， 神が 堅く 彼に 誓われたことを 認めていたので，

- He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.
- This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.
- Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.
- For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,
- Until I make thy foes thy footstool.

- キリスト の 復活をあらかじめ 知って， 『彼は 黃泉に 捨ておかれることがなく， またその 肉體が 朽ち 果てることもない 』と 語ったのである．
- この イエス を， 神はよみがえらせた． そして， わたしたちは 皆その 證人なのである．
- それで， イエス は 神の 右に 上げられ， 父から 約束の 聖靈を 受けて， それをわたしたちに 注がれたのである． このことは， あなたがたが 現に 見聞きしているとおりである．
- ダビデ が 天に 上ったのではない． 彼自身こう 言っている， ／『主はわが 主に 仰せになった，
- あなたの 敵をあなたの 足台にするまでは， ／わたしの 右に 座していなさい 』．

- Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

- だから， イスラエル の 全家は， この 事をしかと 知っておくがよい． あなたがたが 十字架につけたこの イエス を， 神は， 主また キリスト としてお 立てになったのである 」．
