사도행전 18:24-19:22

 3차 전도 여행을 시작한 바울은 마술과 우상이 가득한 에베소에서 성령 세례를 베풀고, 담대히 하나님 나라에 대해 강론하며, 마술사들을 회개시키는 등 성공적인 복음 사역을 하였다.
  
  에베소에서의 사역(18:24-19:22)    
 
  1. And a certain Jew named Apollos, born at Alexandria, an eloquent man, and mighty in the scriptures, came to Ephesus.
  2. This man was instructed in the way of the Lord; and being fervent in the spirit, he spake and taught diligently the things of the Lord, knowing only the baptism of John.
  3. And he began to speak boldly in the synagogue: whom when Aquila and Priscilla had heard, they took him unto them, and expounded unto him the way of God more perfectly.
  4. And when he was disposed to pass into Achaia, the brethren wrote, exhorting the disciples to receive him: who, when he was come, helped them much which had believed through grace:
  5. For he mightily convinced the Jews, and that publickly, shewing by the scriptures that Jesus was Christ.
  1. さて， アレキサンデリヤ 生れで， 聖書に 精通し， しかも， 雄弁な アポロ という ユダヤ 人が， エペソ にきた．
  2. この 人は 主に 道に 通じており， また， 靈に 燃えて イエス のことを 詳しく 語ったり 敎えたりしていたが， ただ ヨハネ の バプテスマ しか 知っていなかった．
  3. 彼は 會堂で 大膽に 語り 始めた． それを プリスキラ と アクラ とが 聞いて， 彼を 招きいれ， さらに 詳しく 神の 道を 解き 聞かせた．
  4. それから， アポロ が アカヤ に 渡りたいと 思っていたので， 兄弟たちは 彼を 勵まし， 先方の 弟子たちに， 彼をよく 迎えるようにと， 手紙を 書き 送った． 彼は 到着して， すでにめぐみによって 信者になっていた 人たちに， 大いに 力になった．
  5. 彼は イエス が キリスト であることを， 聖書に 基いて 示し， 公然と， ユダヤ 人たちを 激しい 語調で 論破したからである．
 
 
  1. And it came to pass, that, while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul having passed through the upper coasts came to Ephesus: and finding certain disciples,
  2. He said unto them, Have ye received the Holy Ghost since ye believed? And they said unto him, We have not so much as heard whether there be any Holy Ghost.
  3. And he said unto them, Unto what then were ye baptized? And they said, Unto John's baptism.
  4. Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.
  5. When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
  1. アポロ が コリント にいた 時， パウロ は 奧地をとおって エペソ にきた． そして， ある 弟子たちに 出會って，
  2. 彼らに「あなたがたは， 信仰にはいった 時に， 聖靈を 受けたのか 」と 尋ねたところ， 「いいえ， 聖靈なるものがあることさえ， 聞いたことがありません 」と 答えた．
  3. 「では， だれの 名によって バプテスマ を 受けたのか 」と 彼がきくと， 彼らは「ヨハネ の 名による バプテスマ を 受けました 」と 答えた．
  4. そこで， パウロ が 言った， 「ヨハネ は 悔改めの バプテスマ を 授けたが， それによって， 自分のあとに 來るかた， すなわち， イエス を 信じるように， 人¿に 勸めたのである 」．
  5. 人¿はこれを 聞いて， 主 イエス の 名による バプテスマ を 受けた．
  1. And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
  2. And all the men were about twelve.
  3. And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.
  4. But when divers were hardened, and believed not, but spake evil of that way before the multitude, he departed from them, and separated the disciples, disputing daily in the school of one Tyrannus.
  5. And this continued by the space of two years; so that all they which dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord Jesus, both Jews and Greeks.
  1. そして， パウロ が 彼らの 上に 手をおくと， 聖靈が 彼らにくだり， それから 彼らは 異言を 語ったり， 預言をしたりし 出した．
  2. その 人たちはみんなで 十二人ほどであった．
  3. それから， パウロ は 會堂にはいって， 三か 月のあいだ， 大膽に 神の 國について 論じ， また 勸めをした．
  4. ところが， ある 人たちは 心をかたくなにして， 信じようとせず， 會衆の 前でこの 道をあしざまに 言ったので， 彼は 弟子たちを 引き 連れて， その 人たちから 離れ， ツラノ の 講堂で 每日論じた．
  5. それが 二年間も 續いたので， アジヤ に 住んでいる 者は， ユダヤ 人も ギリシヤ 人も 皆， 主の 言を 聞いた．
  1. And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:
  2. So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.
  3. Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the LORD Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth.
  4. And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the priests, which did so.
  5. And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?
  1. 神は， パウロ の 手によって， 異常な 力あるわざを 次¿になされた．
  2. たとえば， 人¿が， 彼の 身につけている 手ぬぐいや 前掛けを 取って 病人にあてると， その 病氣が 除かれ， 惡靈が 出て 行くのであった．
  3. そこで， ユダヤ 人のまじない 師で， 遍歷している 者たちが， 惡靈につかれている 者にむかって， 主 イエス の 名をとなえ， 「パウロ の 宣べ 傳えている イエス によって 命じる． 出て 行け 」と， ためしに 言ってみた．
  4. ユダヤ の 祭司長 スケワ という 者の 七人のむすこたちも， そんなことをしていた．
  5. すると 惡靈がこれに 對して 言った， 「イエス なら 自分は 知っている． パウロ もわかっている． だが， おまえたちは， いったい 何者だ 」．
  1. And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.
  2. And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.
  3. And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds.
  4. Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.
  5. So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.
  1. そして， 惡靈につかれている 人が， 彼らに 飛びかかり， みんなを 押えつけて 負かしたので， 彼らは 傷を 負ったまま 裸になって， その 家を 逃げ 出した．
  2. このことが エペソ に 住むすべての ユダヤ 人や ギリシヤ 人に 知れわたって， みんな 恐怖に 襲われ， そして， 主 イエス の 名があがめられた．
  3. また 信者になった 者が 大ぜいきて， 自分の 行爲を 打ちあけて 告白した．
  4. それから， 魔術を 行っていた 多くの 者が， 魔術の 本を 持ち 出してきては， みんなの 前で 燒き 捨てた． その 値段を 總計したところ， 銀五万にも 上ることがわかった．
  5. このようにして， 主の 言はますます 盛んにひろまり， また 力を 增し 加えていった．
  1. After these things were ended, Paul purposed in the spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, After I have been there, I must also see Rome.
  2. So he sent into Macedonia two of them that ministered unto him, Timotheus and Erastus; but he himself stayed in Asia for a season.
  1. これらの 事があった 後， パウロ は 御靈に 感じて， マケドニヤ ， アカヤ をとおって， エルサレム へ 行く 決心をした． そして 言った， 「わたしは， そこに 行ったのち， ぜひ ロ ― マ をも 見なければならない 」．
  2. そこで， 自分に 仕えている 者の 中から， テモテ と エラスト とのふたりを， まず マケドニヤ に 送り 出し， パウロ 自身は， なおしばらく アジヤ にとどまった．
