- They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;
- These see the works of the LORD, and his wonders in the deep.
- For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.
- They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.
- They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wit's end.

- 舟で 海にくだり， 大海で 商賣をする 者は，
- 主のみわざを 見， また 深い 所でそのくすしきみわざを 見た．
- 主が 命じられると 暴風が 起って， 海の 波をあげた．
- 彼らは 天にのぼり， 淵にくだり， 惱みによってその 勇氣は 溶け 去り，
- 醉った 人のようによろめき， よろめいて 途方にくれる．

- Then they cry unto the LORD in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.
- He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
- Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.
- Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
- Let them exalt him also in the congregation of the people, and praise him in the assembly of the elders.

- 彼らはその 惱みのうちに 主に 呼ばわったので， 主は 彼らをその 惱みから 救い 出された．
- 主があらしを 靜められると， 海の 波は 穩やかになった．
- こうして 彼らは 波の 靜まったのを 喜び， 主は 彼らをその 望む 港へ 導かれた．
- どうか， 彼らが 主のいつくしみと， 人の 子らになされたくすしきみわざとのために， 主に 感謝するように．
- 彼らが 民の 集會で 主をあがめ， 長老の 會合で 主をほめたたえるように．
