- He turneth rivers into a wilderness, and the watersprings into dry ground;
- A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
- He turneth the wilderness into a standing water, and dry ground into watersprings.
- And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, that they may prepare a city for habitation;
- And sow the fields, and plant vineyards, which may yield fruits of increase.

- 主は 川を 野に 變らせ， 泉をかわいた 地に 變らせ，
- 肥えた 地をそれに 住む 者の 惡のゆえに 鹽地に 變らせられる．
- 主は 野を 池に 變らせ， かわいた 地を 泉に 變らせ，
- 飢えた 者をそこに 住まわせられる． こうして 彼らはその 住むべき 町を 建て，
- 畑に 種をまき， ぶどう 畑を 設けて ／多くの 收穫を 得た．

- He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; and suffereth not their cattle to decrease.
- Again, they are minished and brought low through oppression, affliction, and sorrow.
- He poureth contempt upon princes, and causeth them to wander in the wilderness, where there is no way.
- Yet setteth he the poor on high from affliction, and maketh him families like a flock.
- The righteous shall see it, and rejoice: and all iniquity shall stop her mouth.

- 主が 彼らを 祝福されたので 彼らは 大いにふえ， その 家畜の 減るのをゆるされなかった．
- 彼らがしえたげと， 惱みと， 悲しみとによって ／減り， かつ 卑しめられたとき，
- 主はもろもろの 君に 侮りをそそぎ， 道なき 荒れ 地にさまよわせられた．
- しかし 主は 貧しい 者を 惱みのうちからあげて， その 家族を 羊の 群れのようにされた．
- 正しい 者はこれを 見て 喜び， もろもろの 不義はその 口を 閉じた．

- Whoso is wise, and will observe these things, even they shall understand the lovingkindness of the LORD.

- すべて 賢い 者はこれらの 事に 心をよせ， 主のいつくしみをさとるようにせよ．
