- Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not for the better, but for the worse.
- For first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it.
- For there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you.
- When ye come together therefore into one place, this is not to eat the Lord's supper.
- For in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken.

- ところで， 次のことを 命じるについては， あなたがたをほめるわけにはいかない． というのは， あなたがたの 集まりが 利益にならないで， かえって 損失になっているからである．
- まず， あなたがたが 敎會に 集まる 時， お 互の 間に 分爭があることを， わたしは 耳にしており， そしていくぶんか， それを 信じている．
- たしかに， あなたがたの 中でほんとうの 者が 明らかにされるためには， 分派もなければなるまい．
- そこで， あなたがたが 一緖に 集まるとき， 主の 晩餐を 守ることができないでいる．
- というのは， 食事の 際， 各自が 自分の 晩餐をかってに 先に 食べるので， 飢えている 人があるかと 思えば， 醉っている 人がある 始末である．

- What? have ye not houses to eat and to drink in? or despise ye the church of God, and shame them that have not? What shall I say to you? shall I praise you in this? I praise you not.
- For I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread:
- And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me.
- After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me.
- For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come.

- あなたがたには， 飮み 食いをする 家がないのか． それとも， 神の 敎會を 輕んじ， 貧しい 人¿をはずかしめるのか． わたしはあなたがたに 對して， なんと 言おうか． あなたがたを， ほめようか． この 事では， ほめるわけにはいかない．
- わたしは， 主から 受けたことを， また， あなたがたに 傳えたのである． すなわち， 主 イエス は， 渡される 夜， パン をとり，
- 感謝してこれをさき， そして 言われた， 「これはあなたがたのための， わたしのからだである． わたしを 記念するため， このように 行いなさい 」．
- 食事ののち， 杯をも 同じようにして 言われた， 「この 杯は， わたしの 血による 新しい 契約である． 飮むたびに， わたしの 記念として， このように 行いなさい 」．
- だから， あなたがたは， この パン を 食し， この 杯を 飮むごとに， それによって， 主がこられる 時に 至るまで， 主の 死を 告げ 知らせるのである．

- Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
- But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
- For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.
- For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
- For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

- だから， ふさわしくないままで パン を 食し 主の 杯を 飮む 者は， 主のからだと 血とを 犯すのである．
- だれでもまず 自分を 吟味し， それから パン を 食べ 杯を 飮むべきである．
- 主のからだをわきまえないで 飮み 食いする 者は， その 飮み 食いによって 自分にさばきを 招くからである．
- あなたがたの 中に， 弱い 者や 病人が 大ぜいおり， また 眠った 者も 少なくないのは， そのためである．
- しかし， 自分をよくわきまえておくならば， わたしたちはさばかれることはないであろう．

- But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.
- Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one for another.
- And if any man hunger, let him eat at home; that ye come not together unto condemnation. And the rest will I set in order when I come.

- しかし， さばかれるとすれば， それは， この 世と 共に 罪に 定められないために， 主の 懲らしめを 受けることなのである．
- それだから， 兄弟たちよ． 食事のために 集まる 時には， 互に 待ち 合わせなさい．
- もし 空腹であったら， さばきを 受けに 集まることにならないため， 家で 食べるがよい． そのほかの 事は， わたしが 行った 時に， 定めることにしよう．
