- Knowing therefore the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are made manifest unto God; and I trust also are made manifest in your consciences.
- For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart.
- For whether we be beside ourselves, it is to God: or whether we be sober, it is for your cause.
- For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
- And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.

- このようにわたしたちは， 主の 恐るべきことを 知っているので， 人¿に 說き 勸める． わたしたちのことは， 神のみまえには 明らかになっている． さらに， あなたがたの 良心にも 明らかになるようにと 望む．
- わたしたちは， あなたがたに 對して， またもや 自己推薦をしようとするのではない． ただわたしたちを 誇る 機會を， あなたがたに 持たせ， 心を 誇るのではなくうわべだけを 誇る 人¿に 答えうるようにさせたいのである．
- もしわたしたちが， 氣が 狂っているのなら， それは 神のためであり， 氣が 確かであるのなら， それはあなたがたのためである．
- なぜなら， キリスト の 愛がわたしたちに 强く 迫っているからである． わたしたちはこう 考えている． ひとりの 人がすべての 人のために 死んだ 以上， すべての 人が 死んだのである．
- そして， 彼がすべての 人のために 死んだのは， 生きている 者がもはや 自分のためにではなく， 自分のために 死んでよみがえったかたのために， 生きるためである．

- Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.
- Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
- And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;
- To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
- Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.

- それだから， わたしたちは 今後， だれをも 肉によって 知ることはすまい． かつては キリスト を 肉によって 知っていたとしても， 今はもうそのような 知り 方をすまい．
- だれでも キリスト にあるならば， その 人は 新しく 造られた 者である． 古いものは 過ぎ 去った， 見よ， すべてが 新しくなったのである．
- しかし， すべてこれらの 事は， 神から 出ている． 神は キリスト によって， わたしたちをご 自分に 和解させ， かつ 和解の 務をわたしたちに 授けて 下さった．
- すなわち， 神は キリスト において 世をご 自分に 和解させ， その 罪過の 責任をこれに 負わせることをしないで， わたしたちに 和解の 福音をゆだねられたのである．
- 神がわたしたちをとおして 勸めをなさるのであるから， わたしたちは キリスト の 使者なのである． そこで， キリスト に 代って 願う， 神の 和解を 受けなさい．

- 神はわたしたちの 罪のために， 罪を 知らないかたを 罪とされた． それは， わたしたちが， 彼にあって 神の 義となるためなのである．
