- But thanks be to God, which put the same earnest care into the heart of Titus for you.
- For indeed he accepted the exhortation; but being more forward, of his own accord he went unto you.
- And we have sent with him the brother, whose praise is in the gospel throughout all the churches;
- And not that only, but who was also chosen of the churches to travel with us with this grace, which is administered by us to the glory of the same Lord, and declaration of your ready mind:
- Avoiding this, that no man should blame us in this abundance which is administered by us:

- わたしがあなたがたに 對して 持っている 同じ 熱情を， テトス の 心にも 與えて 下さった 神に 感謝する．
- 彼はわたしの 勸めを 受けいれ， そして 更に 熱心になって， 自分から 進んであなたがたのところに 行った．
- わたしたちはまた， テトス と 一緖に， ひとりの 兄弟を 送る． この 兄弟が 福音宣傳の 上で 得たほまれは， すべての 敎會に 聞えているが，
- そのうえ， 彼は， 主ご 自身の 榮光があらわれるため， また， わたしたちの 好意を 示すために， 骨を 折って 贈り 物を 集めているわたしたちの 同伴者として， 諸敎會から 選ばれたのである．
- そうしたのは， わたしたちが 集めているこの 寄附金のことについて， 人にかれこれ 言われるのを 避けるためである．

- Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.
- And we have sent with them our brother, whom we have oftentimes proved diligent in many things, but now much more diligent, upon the great confidence which I have in you.
- Whether any do enquire of Titus, he is my partner and fellowhelper concerning you: or our brethren be enquired of, they are the messengers of the churches, and the glory of Christ.
- Wherefore shew ye to them, and before the churches, the proof of your love, and of our boasting on your behalf.

- わたしたちは， 主のみまえばかりではなく， 人の 前でも 公正であるように， 氣を 配っているのである．
- また， もうひとりの 兄弟を 彼らと 一緖に 送る． わたしたちは， 多くの 事について 彼が 熱心であったことを， たびたび 認めた． 彼は 今， あなたがたを 非常に 信賴して， ますます 熱心になっている．
- テトス について 言えば， 彼はわたしの 仲間であり， あなたがたに 對するわたしの 協力者である． この 兄弟たちについて 言えば， 彼らは 諸敎會の 使者， キリスト の 榮光である．
- だから， あなたがたの 愛と， また， あなたがたについてわたしたちがいだいている 誇とが， 眞實であることを， 諸敎會の 前で 彼らにあかししていただきたい．
