- For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
- For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
- But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
- This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
- For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

- 兄弟たちよ． あなたがたが 召されたのは， 實に， 自由を 得るためである． ただ， その 自由を， 肉の ¿く 機會としないで， 愛をもって 互に 仕えなさい．
- 律法の 全體は， 「自分を 愛するように， あなたの 隣り 人を 愛せよ 」というこの 一句に 盡きるからである．
- 氣をつけるがよい． もし 互にかみ 合い， 食い 合っているなら， あなたがたは 互に 滅ぼされてしまうだろう．
- わたしは 命じる， 御靈によって 步きなさい． そうすれば， 決して 肉の 欲を 滿たすことはない．
- なぜなら， 肉の 欲するところは 御靈に 反し， また 御靈の 欲するところは 肉に 反するからである． こうして， 二つのものは 互に 相さからい， その 結果， あなたがたは 自分でしようと 思うことを， することができないようになる．

- But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.
- Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
- Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,
- Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
- But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

- 肉の ¿きは 明白である． すなわち， 不品行， 汚れ， 好色，
- 偶像禮拜， まじない， 敵意， 爭い， そねみ， 怒り， 黨派心， 分裂， 分派，
- ねたみ， 泥醉， 宴樂， および， そのたぐいである． わたしは 以前も 言ったように， 今も 前もって 言っておく． このようなことを 行う 者は， 神の 國をつぐことがない．

- Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
- And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.
- If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
- Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

- 柔和， 自制であって， これらを 否定する 律法はない．
- キリスト · イエス に 屬する 者は， 自分の 肉を， その 情と 欲と 共に 十字架につけてしまったのである．
