- Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children;
- And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour.
- But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
- Neither filthiness, nor foolish talking, nor jesting, which are not convenient: but rather giving of thanks.
- For this ye know, that no whoremonger, nor unclean person, nor covetous man, who is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.

- こうして， あなたがたは， 神に 愛されている 子供として， 神にならう 者になりなさい．
- また 愛のうちを 步きなさい． キリスト もあなたがたを 愛して 下さって， わたしたちのために， ご 自身を， 神へのかんばしいかおりのささげ 物， また， いけにえとしてささげられたのである．
- また， 不品行といろいろな 汚れや ·欲などを， 聖徒にふさわしく， あなたがたの 間では， 口にすることさえしてはならない．
- また， 卑しい 言葉と 愚かな 話やみだらな 冗談を 避けなさい． これらは， よろしくない 事である． それよりは， むしろ 感謝をささげなさい．
- あなたがたは， よく 知っておかねばならない． すべて 不品行な 者， 汚れたことをする 者， ·欲な 者， すなわち， 偶像を 禮拜する 者は， キリスト と 神との 國をつぐことができない．

- Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.
- Be not ye therefore partakers with them.
- For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light:
- (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
- Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord.

- あなたがたは， だれにも 不誠實な 言葉でだまされてはいけない． これらのことから， 神の 怒りは 不從順の 子らに 下るのである．
- だから， 彼らの 仲間になってはいけない．
- あなたがたは， 以前はやみであったが， 今は 主にあって 光となっている． 光の 子らしく 步きなさい ――
- 光はあらゆる 善意と 正義と 眞實との 實を 結ばせるものである ――
- 主に 喜ばれるものがなんであるかを， わきまえ 知りなさい．

- And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.
- For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret.
- But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.
- Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.
- See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,

- 實を 結ばないやみのわざに 加わらないで， むしろ， それを 指摘してやりなさい．
- 彼らが 隱れて 行っていることは， 口にするだけでも 恥ずかしい 事である．
- しかし， 光にさらされる 時， すべてのものは， 明らかになる．
- 明らかにされたものは 皆， 光となるのである． だから， こう 書いてある， ／「眠っている 者よ， 起きなさい． 死人のなかから， 立ち 上がりなさい． そうすれば， キリスト があなたを 照すであろう 」．
- そこで， あなたがたの 步きかたによく 注意して， 賢くない 者のようにではなく， 賢い 者のように 步き，

- Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
- Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
- And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;
- Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;
- Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ;

- 今の 時を 生かして 用いなさい． 今は 惡い 時代なのである．
- だから， 愚かな 者にならないで， 主の 御旨がなんであるかを 悟りなさい．
- 酒に 醉ってはいけない． それは 亂行のもとである． むしろ 御靈に 滿たされて，
- 詩とさんびと 靈の 歌とをもって 語り 合い， 主にむかって 心からさんびの 歌をうたいなさい．
- そしてすべてのことにつき， いつも， わたしたちの 主 イエス · キリスト の 御名によって， 父なる 神に 感謝し，

- Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
- Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
- For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
- Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
- Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

- キリスト に 對する 恐れの 心をもって， 互に 仕え 合うべきである．
- 妻たる 者よ． 主に 仕えるように 自分の 夫に 仕えなさい．
- キリスト が 敎會のかしらであって， 自らは， からだなる 敎會の 救主であられるように， 夫は 妻のかしらである．
- そして 敎會が キリスト に 仕えるように， 妻もすべてのことにおいて， 夫に 仕えるべきである．
- 夫たる 者よ． キリスト が 敎會を 愛してそのためにご 自身をささげられたように， 妻を 愛しなさい．

- That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
- That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
- So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.
- For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the church:
- For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.

- キリスト がそうなさったのは， 水で 洗うことにより， 言葉によって， 敎會をきよめて 聖なるものとするためであり，
- また， しみも， しわも， そのたぐいのものがいっさいなく， 淸くて 傷のない 榮光の 姿の 敎會を， ご 自分に 迎えるためである．
- それと 同じく， 夫も 自分の 妻を， 自分のからだのように 愛さねばならない． 自分の 妻を 愛する 者は， 自分自身を 愛するのである．
- 自分自身を 憎んだ 者は， いまだかつて， ひとりもいない． かえって， キリスト が 敎會になさったようにして， おのれを 育て 養うのが 常である．
- わたしたちは， キリスト のからだの 肢體なのである．

- For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
- This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.
- Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.

- 「それゆえに， 人は 父母を 離れてその 妻と 結ばれ， ふたりの 者は 一體となるべきである 」．
- この 奧義は 大きい． それは， キリスト と 敎會とをさしている．
- いずれにしても， あなたがたは， それぞれ， 自分の 妻を 自分自身のように 愛しなさい． 妻もまた 夫を 敬いなさい．
