	예레미야 28:1-29:32 예레미야의 목에 얹은 나무 멍에를 꺾어 버린 거짓 선지자 하나냐는 하나님의 징계를 받아 죽었고, 유다는 쇠 멍에를 얹게 되었다. 예레미야는 바벨론에 잡혀 간 유다 백성들에게 편지를 보내어 귀환할 때까지 그 곳에서 평안히 거할 것을 당부했으며, 거짓 선지자들에게 현혹되지 말 것을 경고하였다. 이에 스마야는 예레미야를 처벌하도록 본국에 요청하였지만 야웨께서는 스마야를 징벌하시겠다고 선언하셨다.

	거짓 선지자 하나냐(28:1-28:17)

And it came to pass the same year, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the fourth year, and in the fifth month, that Hananiah the son of Azur the prophet, which was of Gibeon, spake unto me in the house of the LORD, in the presence of the priests and of all the people, saying,

Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, I have broken the yoke of the king of Babylon.

Within two full years will I bring again into this place all the vessels of the LORD's house, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon took away from this place, and carried them to Babylon:

And I will bring again to this place Jeconiah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, with all the captives of Judah, that went into Babylon, saith the LORD: for I will break the yoke of the king of Babylon.

Then the prophet Jeremiah said unto the prophet Hananiah in the presence of the priests, and in the presence of all the people that stood in the house of the LORD,

その年，すなわちユダの王ゼデキヤの治世の初め，その第四年の五月，ギベオン出身の預言者であって，アズルの子であるハナニヤは，主の宮で祭司とすべての民の前でわたしに語って言った，

「万軍の主，イスラエルの神はこう仰せられる，わたしはバビロンの王のくびきを ¿いた．

二年の內に，バビロンの王ネブカデネザルが，この所から取ってバビロンに携えて行った主の宮の器を，皆この所に歸らせる．

わたしはまたユダの王エホヤキムの子エコニヤと，バビロンに行ったユダのすべての捕われ人をこの所に歸らせる．それは，わたしがバビロンの王のくびきを， ¿くからであると主は言われる」．

そこで預言者エレミヤは主の宮のうちに立っている祭司とすべての民の前で，預言者ハナニヤに言った．

Even the prophet Jeremiah said, Amen: the LORD do so: the LORD perform thy words which thou hast prophesied, to bring again the vessels of the LORD's house, and all that is carried away captive, from Babylon into this place.

Nevertheless hear thou now this word that I speak in thine ears, and in the ears of all the people;

The prophets that have been before me and before thee of old prophesied both against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, and of evil, and of pestilence.

The prophet which prophesieth of peace, when the word of the prophet shall come to pass, then shall the prophet be known, that the LORD hath truly sent him.

Then Hananiah the prophet took the yoke from off the prophet Jeremiah's neck, and brake it.

すなわち預言者エレミヤは言った，「アァメン．どうか主がこのようにしてくださるように．どうかあなたの預言した言葉が成就して，バビロンに携えて行った主の宮の器とすべての捕われ人を，主がバビロンから再びこの所に歸らせてくださるように．

ただし，今わたしがあなたとすべての民の聞いている所で語るこの言葉を聞きなさい．

わたしと，あなたの先に出た預言者は，むかしから，多くの地と大きな國について，戰いと，ききんと，疫病の事を預言した．

平和を預言する預言者は，その預言者の言葉が成就するとき，眞實に主がその預言者をつかわされたのであることが知られるのだ」．

そこで預言者ハナニヤは預言者エレミヤの首から，くびきを取って，それを ¿いた．

And Hananiah spake in the presence of all the people, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Even so will I break the yoke of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon from the neck of all nations within the space of two full years. And the prophet Jeremiah went his way.

Then the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah the prophet, after that Hananiah the prophet had broken the yoke from off the neck of the prophet Jeremiah, saying,

Go and tell Hananiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Thou hast broken the yokes of wood; but thou shalt make for them yokes of iron.

For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; I have put a yoke of iron upon the neck of all these nations, that they may serve Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and they shall serve him: and I have given him the beasts of the field also.

Then said the prophet Jeremiah unto Hananiah the prophet, Hear now, Hananiah; The LORD hath not sent thee; but thou makest this people to trust in a lie.

そしてハナニヤは，すべての民の前で語り，「主はこう仰せられる，『わたしは二年のうちに，このように，万國民の首からバビロンの王ネブカデネザルのくびきを離して ¿く』」と言った．預言者エレミヤは去って行った．

預言者ハナニヤが預言者エレミヤの首から，くびきを離して ¿いた後，しばらくして主の言葉がエレミヤに臨んだ，

「行って，ハナニヤに告げなさい，『主はこう仰せられる，あなたは木のくびきを ¿いたが，わたしはそれに替えて鐵のくびきを作ろう．

万軍の主，イスラエルの神はこう仰せられる，わたしは鐵のくびきをこの万國民の首に置いて，バビロンの王ネブカデネザルに仕えさせる．彼らはこれに仕える．わたしは野の ¿をも彼に與えた』」．

預言者エレミヤはまた預言者ハナニヤに言った，「ハナニヤよ，聞きなさい．主があなたをつかわされたのではない．あなたはこの民に僞りを信じさせた．

Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will cast thee from off the face of the earth: this year thou shalt die, because thou hast taught rebellion against the LORD.

So Hananiah the prophet died the same year in the seventh month.

それゆえ主は仰せられる，『わたしはあなたを地のおもてから除く．あなたは主に對する反逆を語ったので，今年のうちに死ぬのだ』と」．

預言者ハナニヤはその年の七月に死んだ．

Now these are the words of the letter that Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem unto the residue of the elders which were carried away captives, and to the priests, and to the prophets, and to all the people whom Nebuchadnezzar had carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon;

(After that Jeconiah the king, and the queen, and the eunuchs, the princes of Judah and Jerusalem, and the carpenters, and the smiths, were departed from Jerusalem;)

By the hand of Elasah the son of Shaphan, and Gemariah the son of Hilkiah, (whom Zedekiah king of Judah sent unto Babylon to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon) saying,

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, unto all that are carried away captives, whom I have caused to be carried away from Jerusalem unto Babylon;

Build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them;

これは預言者エレミヤがエルサレムから，かの捕え移された長老たち，およびネブカデネザルによってエルサレムからバビロンに捕え移された祭司と預言者ならびにすべての民に送った手紙に書きしるした言葉である．

それはエコニヤ王と太后と宦官およびユダとエルサレムのつかさたち，および工匠と鍛冶とがエルサレムを去ってのちに書かれたものであって，

エレミヤはその手紙をシャパンの子エラサおよびヒルキヤの子ゲマリヤの手によって送った．この人¿はユダの王ゼデキヤがバビロンに行かせ，バビロンの王ネブカデネザルのもとにつかわしたものであった．その手紙には次のように書いてあった．

「万軍の主，イスラエルの神は，すべて捕え移された者，すなわち，わたしがエルサレムから，バビロンに捕え移させた者に，こう言う，

あなたがたは家を建てて，それに住み，畑を作ってその産物を食べよ．

Take ye wives, and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; that ye may be increased there, and not diminished.

And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace.

For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed.

For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: I have not sent them, saith the LORD.

For thus saith the LORD, That after seventy years be accomplished at Babylon I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.

妻をめとって，むすこ娘を産み，また，そのむすこに嫁をめとり，娘をとつがせて，むすこ娘を産むようにせよ．その所であなたがたの數を增し，減ってはならない．

わたしがあなたがたを捕え移させたところの町の平安を求め，そのために主に祈るがよい．その町が平安であれば，あなたがたも平安を得るからである．

万軍の主，イスラエルの神はこう言われる，あなたがたのうちにいる預言者と占い師に惑わされてはならない．また彼らの見る夢に聞き從ってはならない．

それは，彼らがわたしの名によってあなたがたに僞りを預言しているからである．わたしが彼らをつかわしたのではないと主は言われる．

主はこう言われる，バビロンで七十年が滿ちるならば，わたしはあなたがたを顧み，わたしの約束を果し，あなたがたをこの所に導き歸る．

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.

And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.

And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.

Because ye have said, The LORD hath raised us up prophets in Babylon;

主は言われる，わたしがあなたがたに對していだいている計畵はわたしが知っている．それは災を與えようというのではなく，平安を與えようとするものであり，あなたがたに將來を與え，希望を與えようとするものである．

その時，あなたがたはわたしに呼ばわり，來て，わたしに祈る．わたしはあなたがたの祈を聞く．

あなたがたはわたしを尋ね求めて，わたしに會う．もしあなたがたが一心にわたしを尋ね求めるならば，

わたしはあなたがたに會うと主は言われる．わたしはあなたがたの繁榮を回復し，あなたがたを万國から，すべてわたしがあなたがたを追いやった所から集め，かつ，わたしがあなたがたを捕われ離れさせたそのもとの所に，あなたがたを導き歸ろうと主は言われる．

あなたがたは，『主はバビロンでわれわれのために預言者たちを起された』と言ったが， ――

Know that thus saith the LORD of the king that sitteth upon the throne of David, and of all the people that dwelleth in this city, and of your brethren that are not gone forth with you into captivity;

Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will send upon them the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figs, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil.

And I will persecute them with the sword, with the famine, and with the pestilence, and will deliver them to be removed to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be a curse, and an astonishment, and an hissing, and a reproach, among all the nations whither I have driven them:

Because they have not hearkened to my words, saith the LORD, which I sent unto them by my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them; but ye would not hear, saith the LORD.

Hear ye therefore the word of the LORD, all ye of the captivity, whom I have sent from Jerusalem to Babylon:

主はダビデの位に座している王と，この町に住むすべての民で，あなたがたと共に捕え移されなかった兄弟たちについて，こう言われる，

『万軍の主はこう言われる，見よ，わたしは，つるぎと，ききんと，疫病を彼らに送り，彼らを惡くて食べられない腐ったいちじくのようにしてしまう．

わたしはつるぎと，ききんと，疫病をもって彼らのあとを追い，また彼らを地の万國に忌みきらわれるものとなし，わたしが彼らを追いやる國¿で，のろいとなり，恐れとなり，物笑いとなり，はずかしめとならせる．

それは彼らがわたしの言葉に聞き從わなかったからであると主は言われる．わたしはこの言葉を，わたしのしもべである預言者たちによって，しきりに送ったが，あなたがたは聞こうともしなかったと主は言われる』． ――

わたしがエルサレムからバビロンに送ったあなたがたすべての捕われ人よ，主の言葉を聞きなさい，

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, of Ahab the son of Kolaiah, and of Zedekiah the son of Maaseiah, which prophesy a lie unto you in my name; Behold, I will deliver them into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall slay them before your eyes;

And of them shall be taken up a curse by all the captivity of Judah which are in Babylon, saying, The LORD make thee like Zedekiah and like Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire;

Because they have committed villany in Israel, and have committed adultery with their neighbours' wives, and have spoken lying words in my name, which I have not commanded them; even I know, and am a witness, saith the LORD.

『わたしの名によって，あなたがたに僞りを預言しているコラヤの子アハブと，マアセヤの子ゼデキヤについて万軍の主，イスラエルの神はこう仰せられる，見よ，わたしは彼らをバビロンの王ネブカデレザルの手に渡す．王はあなたがたの目の前で彼らを殺す．

バビロンにいるユダの捕われ人は皆，彼らの名を，のろいの言葉に用いて，「主があなたをバビロンの王が火で燒いたゼデキヤとアハブのようにされるように」という．

それは，彼らがイスラエルのうちで愚かな事をし，隣の妻と不義を行い，わたしが命じたのでない僞りの言葉を，わたしの名によって語ったことによるのである．わたしはそれを知っており，またその證人であると主は言われる』」．

	스마야의 편지(29:24-29:32)

Thus shalt thou also speak to Shemaiah the Nehelamite, saying,

Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saying, Because thou hast sent letters in thy name unto all the people that are at Jerusalem, and to Zephaniah the son of Maaseiah the priest, and to all the priests, saying,

The LORD hath made thee priest in the stead of Jehoiada the priest, that ye should be officers in the house of the LORD, for every man that is mad, and maketh himself a prophet, that thou shouldest put him in prison, and in the stocks.

Now therefore why hast thou not reproved Jeremiah of Anathoth, which maketh himself a prophet to you?

For therefore he sent unto us in Babylon, saying, This captivity is long: build ye houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them.

ネヘラムびとシマヤにあなたは言いなさい，

「万軍の主，イスラエルの神はこう仰せられる，あなたは自分の名でエルサレムにいるすべての民と，マアセヤの子祭司ゼパニヤおよびすべての祭司に手紙を送って言う，

『主は祭司エホヤダに代ってあなたを祭司とし，主の宮をつかさどらせ，すべて狂い，かつ預言する者を足かせと首かせにつながせられる．

そうであるのに，どうしてあなたは，あなたがたに預言しているアナトテのエレミヤを戒めないのか．

彼はバビロンにいるわれわれの所に手紙を送って，捕われの時はなお長いゆえ，あなたがたは家を建ててそこに住み，畑を作ってその産物を食べよと言ってきた』」．

And Zephaniah the priest read this letter in the ears of Jeremiah the prophet.

Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying,

Send to all them of the captivity, saying, Thus saith the LORD concerning Shemaiah the Nehelamite; Because that Shemaiah hath prophesied unto you, and I sent him not, and he caused you to trust in a lie:

Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will punish Shemaiah the Nehelamite, and his seed: he shall not have a man to dwell among this people; neither shall he behold the good that I will do for my people, saith the LORD; because he hath taught rebellion against the LORD.

祭司ゼパニヤはこの手紙を預言者エレミヤに讀み聞かせた．

その時，主の言葉がエレミヤに臨んだ，

「すべての捕われ人に書き送って言いなさい，ネヘラムびとシマヤの事について主はこう仰せられる，わたしはシマヤをつかわさなかったのに，彼があなたがたに預言して僞りを信じさせたので，

主はこう仰せられる，見よ，わたしはネヘラムびとシマヤとその子孫を罰する．彼は主に對する反逆を語ったゆえ，彼に屬する者で，この民のうちに住み，わたしが自分の民に行おうとしている良い事を見るものはひとりもいない」．
