	예레미야 35:1-36:32 하나님께서는 레갑 족속이 선조의 명령을 온전히 순종함을 칭찬하시면서 하나님께 불순종하는 유다 백성들의 죄를 책망하셨다. 바룩은 예레미야가 경고한 유다의 죄를 두루마리에 기록하여 왕과 백성들에게 읽어 주었지만, 여호야김 왕은 이 두루마리를 불에 태웠다. 이에 하나님께서 왕과 그 신하들에게 심판을 선포하셨고 바룩에게 그 말씀을 다시 기록하도록 하셨다.

	레갑 족속의 순종(35:1-35:19)

The word which came unto Jeremiah from the LORD in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, saying,

Go unto the house of the Rechabites, and speak unto them, and bring them into the house of the LORD, into one of the chambers, and give them wine to drink.

Then I took Jaazaniah the son of Jeremiah, the son of Habaziniah, and his brethren, and all his sons, and the whole house of the Rechabites;

And I brought them into the house of the LORD, into the chamber of the sons of Hanan, the son of Igdaliah, a man of God, which was by the chamber of the princes, which was above the chamber of Maaseiah the son of Shallum, the keeper of the door:

And I set before the sons of the house of the Rechabites pots full of wine, and cups, and I said unto them, Drink ye wine.

ユダの王ヨシヤの子エホヤキムの時，主からエレミヤに臨んだ言葉．

「レカブびとの家に行って，彼らと語り，彼らを主の宮の一室に連れてきて，酒を飮ませなさい」．

そこでわたしはハバジニヤの子エレミヤの子であるヤザニヤと，その兄弟と，そのむすこたち，およびレカブびとの全家を連れ，

これを主の宮にあるハナンの子たちの室に連れてきた．ハナンはイグダリヤの子であって神の人であった．その室は，つかさたちの室の次にあって，門を守るシャルムの子マアセヤの室の上にあった．

わたしはレカブびとの前に酒を滿たしたつぼと杯を置き，彼らに，「酒を飮みなさい」と言ったが，

But they said, We will drink no wine: for Jonadab the son of Rechab our father commanded us, saying, Ye shall drink no wine, neither ye, nor your sons for ever:

Neither shall ye build house, nor sow seed, nor plant vineyard, nor have any: but all your days ye shall dwell in tents; that ye may live many days in the land where ye be strangers.

Thus have we obeyed the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab our father in all that he hath charged us, to drink no wine all our days, we, our wives, our sons, nor our daughters;

Nor to build houses for us to dwell in: neither have we vineyard, nor field, nor seed:

But we have dwelt in tents, and have obeyed, and done according to all that Jonadab our father commanded us.

彼らは答えた，「われわれは酒を飮みません．それは，レカブの子であるわれわれの先祖ヨナダブがわれわれに命じて，『あなたがたとあなたがたの子孫はいつまでも酒を飮んではならない．

また家を建てず，種をまかず，またぶどう畑を植えてはならない．またこれを所有してはならない．あなたがたは生きながらえる間は幕屋に住んでいなさい．そうするならば，あなたがたはその宿っている地に長く生きることができると言ったからです』．

こうしてわれわれは，レカブの子であるわれわれの先祖ヨナダブがすべて命じた言葉に從って，われわれも，妻も，むすこ娘も生きながらえる間，酒を飮まず，

住む家を建てず，ぶどう畑も畑も種も持たないで，

幕屋に住み，すべてわれわれの先祖ヨナダブがわれわれに命じたところに從い，そのように行いました．

But it came to pass, when Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came up into the land, that we said, Come, and let us go to Jerusalem for fear of the army of the Chaldeans, and for fear of the army of the Syrians: so we dwell at Jerusalem.

Then came the word of the LORD unto Jeremiah, saying,

Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Go and tell the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, Will ye not receive instruction to hearken to my words? saith the LORD.

The words of Jonadab the son of Rechab, that he commanded his sons not to drink wine, are performed; for unto this day they drink none, but obey their father's commandment: notwithstanding I have spoken unto you, rising early and speaking; but ye hearkened not unto me.

I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me.

しかしバビロンの王ネブカデレザルがこの地に上ってきた時，われわれは言いました，『さあ，われわれはエルサレムへ行こう．カルデヤびとの軍勢とスリヤびとの軍勢が恐ろしい』と．こうしてわれわれはエルサレムに住んでいるのです」．

その時，主の言葉がエレミヤに臨んだ，

「万軍の主，イスラエルの神はこう言われる，行って，ユダの人¿とエルサレムに住む者とに告げよ．主は仰せられる，あなたがたはわたしの言葉を聞いて敎を受けないのか．

レカブの子ヨナダブがその子孫に酒を飮むなと命じた言葉は守られてきた．彼らは今日に至るまで酒を飮まず，その先祖の命に從ってきた．ところがあなたがたはわたしがしきりに語ったけれども，わたしに聞き從わなかった．

わたしはまた，わたしのしもべである預言者たちを，しきりにあなたがたにつかわして言わせた，『あなたがたは今おのおのその惡い道を離れ，その行いを改めなさい．ほかの神¿に從い仕えてはならない．そうすれば，あなたがたはわたしがあなたがたと，あなたがたの先祖に與えたこの地に住むことができる』と．しかしあなたがたは耳を傾けず，わたしに聞かなかった．

Because the sons of Jonadab the son of Rechab have performed the commandment of their father, which he commanded them; but this people hath not hearkened unto me:

Therefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon Judah and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them: because I have spoken unto them, but they have not heard; and I have called unto them, but they have not answered.

And Jeremiah said unto the house of the Rechabites, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Because ye have obeyed the commandment of Jonadab your father, and kept all his precepts, and done according unto all that he hath commanded you:

Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Jonadab the son of Rechab shall not want a man to stand before me for ever.

レカブの子ヨナダブの子孫は，その先祖が彼らに命じた命令を守っているのである．しかしこの民はわたしに從わなかった．

それゆえ万軍の神，主，イスラエルの神はこう仰せられる，見よ，わたしはユダとエルサレムに住む者とに，わたしが彼らの上に宣告した災を下す．わたしが彼らに語っても聞かず，彼らを呼んでも答えなかったからである」．

ところでエレミヤはレカブびとの家の人¿に言った，「万軍の主，イスラエルの神はこう仰せられる，あなたがたは先祖ヨナダブの命に從い，そのすべての戒めを守り，彼があなたがたに命じた事を行った．

それゆえ，万軍の主，イスラエルの神はこう言われる，レカブの子ヨナダブには，わたしの前に立つ人がいつまでも欠けることはない」．

	예언을 받아 쓴 바룩(36:1-36:32)

And it came to pass in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, that this word came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,

Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day.

It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.

Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah: and Baruch wrote from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the LORD, which he had spoken unto him, upon a roll of a book.

And Jeremiah commanded Baruch, saying, I am shut up; I cannot go into the house of the LORD:

ユダの王ヨシヤの子エホヤキムの四年に主からこの言葉がエレミヤに臨んだ，

「あなたは卷物を取り，わたしがあなたに語った日，すなわちヨシヤの日から今日に至るまで，イスラエルとユダと万國とに關してあなたに語ったすべての言葉を，それにしるしなさい．

ユダの家がわたしの下そうとしているすべての災を聞いて，おのおのその惡い道を離れて歸ることもあろう．そうすれば，わたしはそのとがとその罪をゆるすかも知れない」．

そこでエレミヤはネリヤの子バルクを呼んだ．バルクはエレミヤの口述にしたがって，主が彼にお告げになった言葉をことごとく卷物に書きしるした．

そしてエレミヤはバルクに命じて言った，「わたしは主の宮に行くことを妨げられている．

Therefore go thou, and read in the roll, which thou hast written from my mouth, the words of the LORD in the ears of the people in the LORD's house upon the fasting day: and also thou shalt read them in the ears of all Judah that come out of their cities.

It may be they will present their supplication before the LORD, and will return every one from his evil way: for great is the anger and the fury that the LORD hath pronounced against this people.

And Baruch the son of Neriah did according to all that Jeremiah the prophet commanded him, reading in the book the words of the LORD in the LORD's house.

And it came to pass in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, in the ninth month, that they proclaimed a fast before the LORD to all the people in Jerusalem, and to all the people that came from the cities of Judah unto Jerusalem.

Then read Baruch in the book the words of Jeremiah in the house of the LORD, in the chamber of Gemariah the son of Shaphan the scribe, in the higher court, at the entry of the new gate of the LORD's house, in the ears of all the people.

それで，あなたが行って，斷食の日に主の宮で，すべての民が聞いているところで，あなたがわたしの口述にしたがって，卷物に筆記した主の言葉を讀みなさい．またユダの人¿がその町¿から來て聞いているところで，それを讀みなさい．

彼らは主の前に祈願をささげ，おのおのその惡い道を離れて歸ることもあろう．主がこの民に對して宣告された怒りと憤りは大きいからである」．

こうしてネリヤの子バルクはすべて預言者エレミヤが自分に命じたように，主の宮で，その卷物に書かれた主の言葉を讀んだ．

ユダの王ヨシヤの子エホヤキムの五年九月，エルサレムのすべての民と，ユダの町¿からエルサレムに來たすべての民とは，主の前に斷食を行うべきことを告げ示された．

バルクは主の宮の上の庭で，主の宮の新しい門の入口のかたわらにある書記シャパンの子であるゲマリヤのへやで，卷物に書かれたエレミヤの言葉をすべての耿 ㅩ��북 ㎕ ㆃ滾淘

When Michaiah the son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, had heard out of the book all the words of the LORD,

Then he went down into the king's house, into the scribe's chamber: and, lo, all the princes sat there, even Elishama the scribe, and Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, and Elnathan the son of Achbor, and Gemariah the son of Shaphan, and Zedekiah the son of Hananiah, and all the princes.

Then Michaiah declared unto them all the words that he had heard, when Baruch read the book in the ears of the people.

Therefore all the princes sent Jehudi the son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, unto Baruch, saying, Take in thine hand the roll wherein thou hast read in the ears of the people, and come. So Baruch the son of Neriah took the roll in his hand, and came unto them.

And they said unto him, Sit down now, and read it in our ears. So Baruch read it in their ears.

シャパンの子であるゲマリヤの子ミカヤはその卷物にある主の言葉をことごとく聞いて，

王の家にある書記のへやに下って行くと，もろもろのつかさたち，すなわち書記エリシャマ，シマヤの子デラヤ，アカボルの子エルナタン，シャパンの子ゲマリヤ，ハナニヤの子ゼデキヤおよびすべてのつかさたちがそこに座していた．

ミカヤはバルクが民に卷物を讀んで聞かせたとき，自分の聞いたすべての言葉を彼らに告げたので，

つかさたちはクシの子セレミヤの子であるネタニヤの子エホデをバルクのもとにつかわして言わせた，「あなたが民に讀み聞かせたその卷物を手に取って，來てください」．そこでネリヤの子バルクは卷物を手に取って，彼らのもとに來たので，

彼らはバルクに言った，「座してそれを讀んでください」．バルクはそれを彼らに讀みきかせた．

Now it came to pass, when they had heard all the words, they were afraid both one and other, and said unto Baruch, We will surely tell the king of all these words.

And they asked Baruch, saying, Tell us now, How didst thou write all these words at his mouth?

Then Baruch answered them, He pronounced all these words unto me with his mouth, and I wrote them with ink in the book.

Then said the princes unto Baruch, Go, hide thee, thou and Jeremiah; and let no man know where ye be.

And they went in to the king into the court, but they laid up the roll in the chamber of Elishama the scribe, and told all the words in the ears of the king.

彼らはそのすべての言葉を聞き，恐れて互に見かわし，バルクに言った，「われわれはこのすべての言葉を，王に報告しなければならない」．

そしてバルクに尋ねて言った，「このすべての言葉を，あなたがどのようにして書いたのか話してください．彼の口述によるのですか」．

バルクは彼らに答えた，「彼がわたしにこのすべての言葉を口述したので，わたしはそれを墨汁で卷物に書いたのです」．

つかさたちはバルクに言った，「行って，エレミヤと一緖に身を隱しなさい．人に所在を知られてはなりません」．

そこで彼らは卷物を書記エリシャマのへやに置いて庭にはいり，王のもとへ行って，このすべての言葉を王に告げたので，

So the king sent Jehudi to fetch the roll: and he took it out of Elishama the scribe's chamber. And Jehudi read it in the ears of the king, and in the ears of all the princes which stood beside the king.

Now the king sat in the winterhouse in the ninth month: and there was a fire on the hearth burning before him.

And it came to pass, that when Jehudi had read three or four leaves, he cut it with the penknife, and cast it into the fire that was on the hearth, until all the roll was consumed in the fire that was on the hearth.

Yet they were not afraid, nor rent their garments, neither the king, nor any of his servants that heard all these words.

Nevertheless Elnathan and Delaiah and Gemariah had made intercession to the king that he would not burn the roll: but he would not hear them.

王はその卷物を持ってこさせるためにエホデをつかわした．エホデは書記エリシャマのへやから卷物を取ってきて，それを王と王のかたわらに立っているすべてのつかさたちに讀みきかせた．

時は九月であって，王は冬の家に座していた．その前に爐があって火が燃えていた．

エホデが三段か四段を讀むと，王は小刀をもってそれを切り取り，爐の火に投げいれ，ついに卷物全部を爐の火で燒きつくした．

王とその家來たちはこのすべての言葉を聞いても恐れず，またその着物を裂くこともしなかった．

エルナタン，デラヤおよびゲマリヤが王にその卷物を燒かないようにと願ったときにも彼は聞きいれなかった．

But the king commanded Jerahmeel the son of Hammelech, and Seraiah the son of Azriel, and Shelemiah the son of Abdeel, to take Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet: but the LORD hid them.

Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, after that the king had burned the roll, and the words which Baruch wrote at the mouth of Jeremiah, saying,

Take thee again another roll, and write in it all the former words that were in the first roll, which Jehoiakim the king of Judah hath burned.

And thou shalt say to Jehoiakim king of Judah, Thus saith the LORD; Thou hast burned this roll, saying, Why hast thou written therein, saying, The king of Babylon shall certainly come and destroy this land, and shall cause to cease from thence man and beast?

Therefore thus saith the LORD of Jehoiakim king of Judah; He shall have none to sit upon the throne of David: and his dead body shall be cast out in the day to the heat, and in the night to the frost.

そして王は王子エラメルとアヅリエルの子セラヤとアブデルの子セレミヤに，書記バルクと預言者エレミヤを捕えるようにと命じたが，主は彼らを隱された．

バルクがエレミヤの口述にしたがって筆記した言葉を載せた卷物を王が燒いた後，主の言葉がエレミヤに臨んだ，

「他の卷物を取り，ユダの王エホヤキムが燒いた，前の卷物のうちにある言葉を皆それに書きしるしなさい．

またユダの王エホヤキムについて言いなさい，『主はこう仰せられる，あなたはこの卷物を燒いて言った，「どうしてあなたはこの卷物に，バビロンの王が必ず來てこの地を滅ぼし，ここから人と ¿とを絶やす，と書いたのか」と．

それゆえ主はユダの王エホヤキムについてこう言われる，彼の子孫にはダビデの位にすわる者がなくなる．また彼の死體は捨てられて ¿は暑さにあい，夜は霜にあう．

And I will punish him and his seed and his servants for their iniquity; and I will bring upon them, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and upon the men of Judah, all the evil that I have pronounced against them; but they hearkened not.

Then took Jeremiah another roll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah; who wrote therein from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire: and there were added besides unto them many like words.

わたしはまた彼とその子孫とその家來たちをその罪のために罰する．また彼らとエルサレムの民とユダの人¿には災を下す．この災のことについては，すでに語ったけれども，彼らは聞くことをしなかった』」．

そこでエレミヤは他の卷物を取り，ネリヤの子書記バルクに與えたので，バルクはユダの王エホヤキムが火にくべて燒いた卷物のすべての言葉を，エレミヤの口述にしたがってそれに書きしるし，また同じような言葉を多くそれに加えた．
