- Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
- They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.
- But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.
- I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.
- Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

- 子供たちよ． 今は 終りの 時である． あなたがたがかねて 反 キリスト が 來ると 聞いていたように， 今や 多くの 反 キリスト が 現れてきた． それによって 今が 終りの 時であることを 知る．
- 彼らはわたしたちから 出て 行った． しかし， 彼らはわたしたちに 屬する 者ではなかったのである． もし 屬する 者であったなら， わたしたちと 一緖にとどまっていたであろう． しかし， 出て 行ったのは， 元來， 彼らがみなわたしたちに 屬さない 者であることが， 明らかにされるためである．
- しかし， あなたがたは 聖なる 者に 油を 注がれているので， あなたがたすべてが， そのことを 知っている．
- わたしが 書きおくったのは， あなたがたが 眞理を 知らないからではなく， それを 知っているからであり， また， すべての 僞りは 眞理から 出るものでないことを， 知っているからである．
- 僞り 者とは， だれであるか． イエス の キリスト であることを 否定する 者ではないか． 父と 御子とを 否定する 者は， 反 キリスト である．

- Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
- Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
- And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.
- These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.
- But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

- 御子を 否定する 者は 父を 持たず， 御子を 告白する 者は， また 父をも 持つのである．
- 初めから 聞いたことが， あなたがたのうちに， とどまるようにしなさい． 初めから 聞いたことが， あなたがたのうちにとどまっておれば， あなたがたも 御子と 父とのうちに， とどまることになる．
- これが， 彼自らわたしたちに 約束された 約束であって， すなわち， 永遠のいのちである．
- わたしは， あなたがたを 惑わす 者たちについて， これらのことを 書きおくった．
- あなたがたのうちには， キリスト からいただいた 油がとどまっているので， だれにも 敎えてもらう 必要はない． この 油が， すべてのことをあなたがたに 敎える． それはまことであって， 僞りではないから， その 油が 敎えたように， あなたがたは 彼のうちにとどまっていなさい．

- And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
- If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

- そこで， 子たちよ． キリスト のうちにとどまっていなさい． それは， 彼が 現れる 時に， 確信を 持ち， その 來臨に 際して， みまえに 恥じいることがないためである．
- 彼の 義なるかたであることがわかれば， 義を 行う 者はみな 彼から 生れたものであることを， 知るであろう．
