	다니엘 8:1-9:27 벨사살 왕 3년에 다니엘은 숫양과 수염소 및 작은 뿔의 환상을 보고 천사 가브리엘로부터 그 환상에 대한 해석을 들었다. 다리오 왕 원년에 이스라엘의 포로 기간이 70년이라 기록된 예레미야 예언의 책을 본 다니엘은 그 연수가 되었다는 것을 깨닫고 민족을 위해 금식하며 기도하였다. 이 기도 중에 다니엘은 ‘70이레’의 예언을 받았다.

	다니엘의 두번째 환상(8:1-8:27)

In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a vision appeared unto me, even unto me Daniel, after that which appeared unto me at the first.

And I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when I saw, that I was at Shushan in the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in a vision, and I was by the river of Ulai.

Then I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last.

I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great.

And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes.

われダニエルは先に幻を見たが，後またベルシャザル王の治世の第三年に，一つの幻がわたしに示された．

その幻を見たのは，エラム州の首都スサにいた時であって，ウライ川のほとりにおいてであった．

わたしが目をあげて見ると，川の岸に一匹の雄羊が立っていた．これに二つの角があって，その角は共に長かったが，一つの角は他の角よりも長かった．その長いのは後に伸びたのである．

わたしが見ていると，その雄羊は，西，北，南にむかって突擊したが，これに當ることのできる ¿は一匹もなく，またその手から救い出すことのできるものもなかった．これはその心のままにふるまい，みずから高ぶっていた．

わたしがこれを考え，見ていると，一匹の雄やぎが，全地のおもてを飛びわたって西からきたが，その足は土を踏まなかった．このやぎには，目の間に著しい一つの角があった．

And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power.

And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand.

Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.

And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.

And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.

この者は，さきにわたしが川の岸に立っているのを見た，あの二つの角のある雄羊にむかってきて，激しく怒ってこれに走り寄った．

わたしが見ていると，それが雄羊に近寄るや，これにむかって怒りを發し，雄羊を擊って，その二つの角を ¿いた．雄羊には，これに當る力がなかったので，やぎは雄羊を地に打ち倒して踏みつけた．また，その雄羊を，やぎの力から救いうる者がなかった．

こうして，その雄やぎは，はなはだしく高ぶったが，その盛んになった時，あの大きな角が折れて，その代りに四つの著しい角が生じ，天の四方に向かった．

その角の一つから，一つの小さい角が出て，南に向かい，東に向かい，麗しい地に向かって，はなはだしく大きくなり，

天の衆群に及ぶまでに大きくなり，星の衆群のうちの數個を地に投げ下して，これを踏みつけ，

Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of the sanctuary was cast down.

And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.

Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?

And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man.

またみずから高ぶって，その衆群の主に敵し，その常供の §祭を取り除き，かつその聖所を倒した．

そしてその衆群は，罪によって，常供の §祭と共に，これにわたされた．その角はまた眞理を地に投げうち，ほしいままにふるまって，みずから榮えた．

それから，わたしはひとりの聖者の語っているのを聞いた．またひとりの聖者があって，その語っている聖者にむかって言った，「常供の §祭と，荒すことをなす罪と，聖所とその衆群がわたされて，足の下に踏みつけられることについて，幻にあらわれたことは，いつまでだろうか」と．

彼は言った，「二千三百の夕と朝の間である．そして聖所は淸められてその正しい狀態に復する」．

われダニエルはこの幻を見て，その意味を知ろうと求めていた時，見よ，人のように見える者が，わたしの前に立った．

And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.

So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.

Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me upright.

And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be.

The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia.

わたしはウライ川の兩岸の間から人の聲が出て，呼ばわるのを聞いた，「ガブリエルよ，この幻をその人に悟らせよ」．

すると彼はわたしの立っている所にきた．彼がきたとき，わたしは恐れて，ひれ伏した．しかし，彼はわたしに言った，「人の子よ，悟りなさい．この幻は終りの時にかかわるものです」．

彼がわたしに語っていた時，わたしは地にひれ伏して，深い眠りに陷ったが，彼はわたしに手を觸れ，わたしを立たせて，

言った，「見よ，わたしは憤りの終りの時に起るべきことを，あなたに知らせよう．それは定められた終りの時にかかわるものであるから．

あなたが見た，あの二つの角のある雄羊は，メデアとペルシャの王です．

And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.

Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power.

And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.

And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

また，かの雄やぎはギリシヤの王です，その目の間の大きな角は，その第一の王です．

またその角が折れて，その代りに四つの角が生じたのは，その民から四つの國が起るのです．しかし，第一の王のような勢力はない．

彼らの國の終りの時になり，罪びとの罪が滿ちるに及んで，ひとりの王が起るでしょう．その顔は猛惡で，彼はなぞを解き，

その勢力は盛んであって，恐ろしい破壞をなし，そのなすところ成功して，有力な人¿と，聖徒である民を滅ぼすでしょう．

彼は惡知惠をもって，僞りをその手におこない遂げ，みずから心に高ぶり，不意に多くの人を打ち滅ぼし，また君の君たる者に敵するでしょう．しかし，ついに彼は人手によらずに滅ぼされるでしょう．

And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days.

And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king's business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it.

先に示された朝夕の幻は眞實です．しかし，あなたはその幻を秘密にしておかなければならない．これは多くの日の後にかかわる事だから」．

われダニエルは疲れはてて，數日の間病みわずらったが，後起きて，王の事務を執った．しかし，わたしはこの幻の事を思って驚いた．またこれを悟ることができなかった．

	다니엘의 기도(9:1-9:27)

In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans;

In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.

And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:

And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;

We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:

メデアびとアハシュエロスの子ダリヨスが，カルデヤびとの王となったその元年，

すなわちその治世の第一年に，われダニエルは主が預言者エレミヤに臨んで告げられたその言葉により，エルサレムの荒廢の終るまでに經ねばならぬ年の數は七十年であることを，文書によって悟った．

それでわたしは，わが顔を主なる神に向け，斷食をなし，荒布を着，灰をかぶって祈り，かつ願い求めた．

すなわちわたしは，わが神，主に祈り，ざんげして言った，「ああ，大いなる恐るべき神，主，おのれを愛し，おのれの戒めを守る者のために契約を保ち，いつくしみを施される者よ，

われわれは罪を犯し，惡をおこない，よこしまなふるまいをなし，そむいて，あなたの戒めと，おきてを離れました．

Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.

O LORD, righteousness belongeth unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, that are near, and that are far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.

O Lord, to us belongeth confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.

To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;

Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.

われわれはまた，あなたのしもべなる預言者たちが，あなたの名をもって，われわれの王たち，君たち，先祖たち，および國のすべての民に告げた言葉に聞き從いませんでした．

主よ，正義はあなたのものですが，恥はわれわれに加えられて，今日のような有樣です．すなわちユダの人¿，エルサレムの住民および全イスラエルの者は，近き者も，遠き者もみな，あなたが追いやられたすべての國¿で恥をこうむりました．これは彼らがあなたにそむいて犯した罪によるのです．

主よ，恥はわれわれのもの，われわれの王たち，君たちおよび先祖たちのものです．これはわれわれがあなたにむかって罪を犯したからです．

あわれみと，ゆるしはわれわれの神，主のものです．これはわれわれが彼にそむいたからです．

またわれわれの神，主のみ聲に聞き從わず，主がそのしもべ預言者たちによって，われわれの前に賜わった律法を行わなかったからです．

Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.

And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.

As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.

Therefore hath the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the LORD our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice.

And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.

まことにイスラエルの人¿は皆あなたの律法を犯し，離れ去って，あなたのみ聲に聞き從わなかったので，神のしもべモ ― セの律法にしるされたのろいと誓いが，われわれの上に注ぎかかりました．これはわれわれが神にむかって罪を犯したからです．

すなわち神は大いなる災をわれわれの上にくだして，さきにわれわれと，われわれを治めたつかさたちにむかって告げられた言葉を實行されたのです．あのエルサレムに臨んだような事は，全天下にいまだかつてなかった事です．

モ ― セの律法にしるされたように，この災はすべてわれわれに臨みましたが，なおわれわれの神，主の惠みを請い求めることをせず，その不義を離れて，あなたの眞理を悟ることをもしませんでした．

それゆえ，主はこれを心に留めて，災をわれわれに下されたのです．われわれの神，主は，何事をされるにも，正しくあらせられます．ところが，われわれはそのみ聲に聞き從わなかったのです．

われわれの神，主よ，あなたは强きみ手をもって，あなたの民をエジプトの地から導き出して，今日のように，み名をあげられました．われわれは罪を犯し，よこしまなふるまいをしました．

O LORD, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us.

Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord's sake.

O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.

O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.

And whiles I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my supplication before the LORD my God for the holy mountain of my God;

主よ，どうぞあなたが，これまで正しいみわざをなされたように，あなたの町エルサレム，あなたの聖なる山から，あなたの怒りと憤りとを取り去ってください．これはわれわれの罪と，われわれの先祖の不義のために，エルサレムと，あなたの民が，われわれの周圍の者の物笑いとなったからです．

それゆえ，われわれの神よ，しもべの祈と願いを聞いてください．主よ，あなたご自身のために，あの荒れたあなたの聖所に，あなたのみ顔を輝かせてください．

わが神よ，耳を傾けて聞いてください．目を開いて，われわれの荒れたさまを見，み名をもってとなえられる町をごらんください．われわれがあなたの前に祈をささげるのは，われわれの義によるのではなく，ただあなたの大いなるあわれみによるのです．

主よ，聞いてください．主よ，ゆるしてください．主よ，み心に留めて，おこなってください．わが神よ，あなたご自身のために，これを延ばさないでください．あなたの町と，あなたの民は，み名をもってとなえられているからです」．

わたしがこう言って祈り，かつわが罪とわが民イスラエルの罪をざんげし，わが神の聖なる山のために，わが神，主の前に願いをしていたとき，

Yea, whiles I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening oblation.

And he informed me, and talked with me, and said, O Daniel, I am now come forth to give thee skill and understanding.

At the beginning of thy supplications the commandment came forth, and I am come to shew thee; for thou art greatly beloved: therefore understand the matter, and consider the vision.

Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

すなわちわたしが祈の言葉を述べていたとき，わたしが初めに幻のうちに見た，かの人ガブリエルは，すみやかに飛んできて，夕の供え物をささげるころ，わたしに近づき，

わたしに告げて言った，「ダニエルよ，わたしは今あなたに，知惠と悟りを與えるためにきました．

あなたが祈を始めたとき，み言葉が出たので，それをあなたに告げるためにきたのです．あなたは大いに愛せられている者です．ゆえに，このみ言葉を考えて，この幻を悟りなさい．

あなたの民と，あなたの聖なる町については，七十週が定められています．これはとがを終らせ，罪に終りを告げ，不義をあがない，永遠の義をもたらし，幻と預言者を封じ，いと聖なる者に油を注ぐためです．

それゆえ，エルサレムを建て直せという命令が出てから，メシヤなるひとりの君が來るまで，七週と六十二週あることを知り，かつ悟りなさい．その間に，しかも不安な時代に，エルサレムは廣場と街路とをもって，建て直されるでしょう．

And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

その六十二週の後にメシヤは斷たれるでしょう．ただし自分のためにではありません．またきたるべき君の民は，町と聖所とを滅ぼすでしょう．その終りは洪水のように臨むでしょう．そしてその終りまで戰爭が續き，荒廢は定められています．

彼は一週の間多くの者と，堅く契約を結ぶでしょう．そして彼はその週の半ばに， ¿牲と供え物とを廢するでしょう．また荒す者が憎むべき者の翼に乘って來るでしょう．こうしてついにその定まった終りが，その荒す者の上に注がれるのです」．
