- For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief.
- Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth:
- Lest the LORD see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him.
- Fret not thyself because of evil men, neither be thou envious at the wicked:
- For there shall be no reward to the evil man; the candle of the wicked shall be put out.

- 正しい 者は 七たび 倒れても， また 起きあがる， しかし， 惡しき 者は 災によって 滅びる．
- あなたのあだが 倒れるとき 樂しんではならない， 彼のつまずくとき 心に 喜んではならない．
- 主はそれを 見て 惡いこととし， その 怒りを 彼から 轉じられる．
- 惡を 行う 者のゆえに 心を 惱ましてはならない， よこしまな 者をうらやんではならない．
- 惡しき 者には 後の 良い 報いはない， よこしまな 者のともしびは 消される．
