- Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?
- Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

- マッサ の 人 ヤケ の 子 アグル の 言葉． その 人は イテエル に 向かって 言った， すなわち イテエル と， ウカル とに 向かって 言った，
- わたしは 確かに 人よりも 愚かであり， わたしには 人の 悟りがない．
- わたしはまだ 知惠をならうことができず， また， 聖なる 者を 悟ることもできない．
- 天にのぼったり， 下ったりしたのはだれか， 風をこぶしの 中に 集めたのはだれか， 水を 着物に 包んだのはだれか， 地のすべての 限界を 定めた 者はだれか， その 名は 何か， その 子の 名は 何か， あなたは 確かにそれを 知っている．
- 神の 言葉はみな 眞實である， 神は 彼に 寄り 賴む 者の 盾である．

- Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
- Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die:
- Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:
- Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.

- その 言葉に 付け 加えてはならない， 彼があなたを 責め， あなたを 僞り 者とされないためだ．
- わたしは 二つのことをあなたに 求めます， わたしの 死なないうちに， これをかなえてください．
- うそ， 僞りをわたしから 遠ざけ， 貧しくもなく， また 富みもせず， ただなくてならぬ 食物でわたしを 養ってください．
- 飽き 足りて， あなたを 知らないといい， 「主とはだれか 」と 言うことのないため， また 貧しくて 盜みをし， わたしの 神の 名を 汚すことのないためです．
