- Open thy doors, O Lebanon, that the fire may devour thy cedars.
- Howl, fir tree; for the cedar is fallen; because the mighty are spoiled: howl, O ye oaks of Bashan; for the forest of the vintage is come down.
- There is a voice of the howling of the shepherds; for their glory is spoiled: a voice of the roaring of young lions; for the pride of Jordan is spoiled.
- Thus saith the LORD my God; Feed the flock of the slaughter;
- Whose possessors slay them, and hold themselves not guilty: and they that sell them say, Blessed be the LORD; for I am rich: and their own shepherds pity them not.

- レバノン よ， おまえの 門を 開き， おまえの 香柏を 火に 燒き 滅ぼさせよ．
- いとすぎよ， 泣き 叫べ． 香柏は 倒れ， みごとな 木は， そこなわれたからである． バシャン のかしよ， 泣き 叫べ． 茂った 林は 倒れたからである．
- 聞け， 牧者の 泣き 叫ぶ 聲を． 彼らの 榮えが 消え 去ったからである． 聞け， ししのほえる 聲を． ヨルダン の 草むらが 荒れ 果てたからである．
- わが 神， 主はこう 仰せられた， 「ほふらるべき 羊の 群れの 牧者となれ．
- これを 買う 者は， これをほふっても 罰せられない． これを 賣る 者は 言う， 『主はほむべきかな， わたしは 富んだ 』と． そしてその 牧者は， これをあわれまない．

- For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land, saith the LORD: but, lo, I will deliver the men every one into his neighbour's hand, and into the hand of his king: and they shall smite the land, and out of their hand I will not deliver them.
- And I will feed the flock of slaughter, even you, O poor of the flock. And I took unto me two staves; the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bands; and I fed the flock.
- Three shepherds also I cut off in one month; and my soul lothed them, and their soul also abhorred me.
- Then said I, I will not feed you: that that dieth, let it die; and that that is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let the rest eat every one the flesh of another.
- And I took my staff, even Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the people.

- わたしは， もはやこの 地の 住民をあわれまないと， 主は 言われる． 見よ， わたしは 人をおのおのその 牧者の 手に 渡し， おのおのその 王の 手に 渡す． 彼らは 地を 荒す． わたしは 彼らの 手からこれを 救い 出さない 」．
- わたしは 羊の 商人のために， ほふらるべき 羊の 群れの 牧者となった． わたしは 二本のつえを 取り， その 一本を 惠みと 名づけ， 一本を 結びと 名づけて， その 羊を 牧した．
- わたしは 一か 月に 牧者三人を 滅ぼした． わたしは 彼らに， がまんしきれなくなったが， 彼らもまた， わたしを 忌みきらった．
- それでわたしは 言った， 「わたしはあなたがたの 牧者とならない． 死ぬ 者は 死に， 滅びる 者は 滅び， 殘った 者はたがいにその 肉を 食いあうがよい 」．
- わたしは 惠みというつえを 取って， これを 折った． これはわたしがもろもろの 民と 結んだ 契約を， 廢するためであった．

- And it was broken in that day: and so the poor of the flock that waited upon me knew that it was the word of the LORD.
- And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver.
- And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD.
- Then I cut asunder mine other staff, even Bands, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.
- And the LORD said unto me, Take unto thee yet the instruments of a foolish shepherd.

- そしてこれは， その 日に 廢された． そこで， わたしに 目を 注いでいた 羊の 商人らは， これが 主の 言葉であったことを 知った．
- わたしは 彼らに 向かって， 「あなたがたがもし， よいと 思うならば， わたしに 賃銀を 拂いなさい． もし， いけなければやめなさい 」と 言ったので， 彼らはわたしの 賃銀として， 銀三十 シケル を 量った．
- 主はわたしに 言われた， 「彼らによって， わたしが 値積られたその 尊い 價を， 宮のさいせん 箱に 投げ 入れよ 」． わたしは 銀三十 シケル を 取って， これを 主の 宮のさいせん 箱に 投げ 入れた．
- そしてわたしは 結びという 第二のつえを 折った． これは ユダ と イスラエル の 間の， 兄弟關係を 廢するためであった．
- 主はわたしに 言われた， 「おまえはまた 愚かな 牧者の 器を 取れ．

- For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, which shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek the young one, nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that standeth still: but he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws in pieces.
- Woe to the idol shepherd that leaveth the flock! the sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.

- 見よ， わたしは 地にひとりの 牧者を 起す． 彼は 滅ぼされる 者を 顧みず， 迷える 者を 尋ねず， 傷ついた 者をいやさず， 健やかな 者を 養わず， 肥えた 者の 肉を 食らい， そのひずめをさえ 裂く 者である．
- その 羊の 群れを 捨てる 愚かな 牧者はわざわいだ． どうか， つるぎがその 腕を 擊ち， その 右の 目を 擊つように． その 腕は 全く 衰え， その 右の 目は 全く 見えなくなるように 」．
