	출애굽기 9:1-10:29 모세는 바로 앞에서 악질, 독종, 우박, 메뚜기, 그리고 흑암 재앙을 행하였다. 그러나 마음이 완강한 바로는 이에 굴하기는커녕 오히려 모세를 위협하였다. 바로가 완강히 고집을 굽히지 않고 모세를 대적한 것은 하나님께서 권능을 행하심으로써 자신이 야웨 되심을 나타내시기 위해 바로의 마음을 내버려 두셨기 때문이었다.

Then the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

For if thou refuse to let them go, and wilt hold them still,

Behold, the hand of the LORD is upon thy cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain.

And the LORD shall sever between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt: and there shall nothing die of all that is the children's of Israel.

And the LORD appointed a set time, saying, To morrow the LORD shall do this thing in the land.

主はモ ― セに言われた．「ファラオのもとに行って彼に告げなさい．ヘブライ人の神，主はこう言われた．『わたしの民を去らせ，わたしに仕えさせよ』と．

もしあなたが去らせるのを拒み，なおも彼らをとどめておくならば，

見よ，主の手が甚だ恐ろしい疫病を野にいるあなたの家畜，馬，ろば，らくだ，牛，羊に臨ませる．

しかし主は，イスラエルの家畜とエジプトの家畜とを區別される．イスラエルの人¿の家畜は一頭たりとも死ぬことはない．

主はまた時を定め，明日，この地でこの事を行われる．」

And the LORD did that thing on the morrow, and all the cattle of Egypt died: but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.

And Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the people go.

And the LORD said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.

And it shall become small dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.

And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast.

翌日，主はこの事を行われたので，エジプト人の家畜はすべて死んだが，イスラエルの人¿の家畜は一頭も死ななかった．

ファラオが人を遣わして見させたところ，イスラエルの家畜は一頭といえども死んではいなかった．それでも，ファラオの心は頑迷になり民を去らせなかった．

主はモ ― セとアロンに言われた．「かまどのすすを兩手にいっぱい取って，モ ― セはそれをファラオの前で天に向かってまき散らすがよい．

それはエジプト全土を覆う細かい塵となって，エジプト全土の人と家畜に降りかかり，膿の出るはれ物となるであろう．」

二人はかまどのすすを取ってファラオの前に立ち，モ ― セがそれを天に向かってまき散らした．すると，膿の出るはれ物が人と家畜に生じた．

And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boil was upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.

And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.

For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thine heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth.

For now I will stretch out my hand, that I may smite thee and thy people with pestilence; and thou shalt be cut off from the earth.

魔術師もこのはれ物のためにモ ― セの前に立つことができなかった．はれ物は魔術師のみならず，エジプト人すべてに生じた．

しかし，主がファラオの心をかたくなにされたので，彼は二人の言うことを聞かなかった．主がモ ― セに仰せになったとおりである．

主はモ ― セに言われた．「明朝早く起き，ファラオの前に立って，彼に言いなさい．ヘブライ人の神，主はこう言われた．『わたしの民を去らせ，わたしに仕えさせよ．

今度こそ，わたしはあなた自身とあなたの家臣とあなたの民に，あらゆる災害をくだす．わたしのような神は，地上のどこにもいないことを，あなたに分からせるためである．

實際，今までにもわたしは手を伸ばし，あなたとあなたの民を疫病で打ち，地上から絶やすこともできたのだ．

And in very deed for this cause have I raised thee up, for to shew in thee my power; and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.

As yet exaltest thou thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go?

Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.

Send therefore now, and gather thy cattle, and all that thou hast in the field; for upon every man and beast which shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.

He that feared the word of the LORD among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses:

しかしわたしは，あなたにわたしの力を示してわたしの名を全地に語り告げさせるため，あなたを生かしておいた．

あなたはいまだに，わたしの民に對して高ぶり，彼らを去らせようとしない．

見よ，明日の今ごろ，エジプト始まって以來，今日までかつてなかったほどの甚だ激しい音を降らせる．

それゆえ，今，人を遣わして，あなたの家畜で野にいるものは皆，避難させるがよい．野に出ていて家に連れ戾されない家畜は，人と共にすべて，音に打たれて死ぬであろう』と．」

ファラオの家臣のうち，主の言葉を畏れた者は，自分の僕と家畜を家に避難させたが，

And he that regarded not the word of the LORD left his servants and his cattle in the field.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch forth thine hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.

And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt.

So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.

And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.

主の言葉を心に留めなかった者は，僕と家畜を野に殘しておいた．

主はモ ― セに言われた．「あなたの手を天に向かって差し伸べ，エジプト全土に，人にも家畜にも，野のあらゆる草の上にも音を降らせるがよい．」

モ ― セが天に向かって杖を差し伸べると，主は雷と音を下され，稻妻が大地に向かって走った．主はエジプトの地に音を降らせられた．

音が降り，その間を絶え間なく稻妻が走った．それは甚だ激しく，このような音が全土に降ったことは，エジプトの國始まって以來かつてなかったほどであった．

音は，エジプト全土で野にいるすべてのもの，人も家畜も殘らず打った．音はまた，野のあらゆる草を打ち，野のすべての木を打ち ¿いた．

Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.

And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said unto them, I have sinned this time: the LORD is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.

Intreat the LORD (for it is enough) that there be no more mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and ye shall stay no longer.

And Moses said unto him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto the LORD; and the thunder shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know how that the earth is the LORD's.

But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not yet fear the LORD God.

ただし，イスラエルの人¿の住むゴシェンの地域には音は降らなかった．

ファラオは人を遣わし，モ ― セとアロンを呼び寄せて言った．「今度ばかりはわたしが間違っていた．正しいのは主であり，惡いのはわたしとわたしの民である．

主に祈願してくれ．恐ろしい雷と音はもうたくさんだ．あなたたちを去らせよう．これ以上ここにとどまることはない．」

モ ― セは言った．「町を出たら，早速兩手を廣げて主に祈りましょう．雷はやみ，音はもう降らないでしょう．あなたはこうして，大地が主のものであることを知るでしょう．

しかし，あなたもあなたの家臣も，まだ主なる神を畏れるに至っていないことを，わたしは知っています．」

And the flax and the barley was smitten: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was bolled.

But the wheat and the rie were not smitten: for they were not grown up.

And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands unto the LORD: and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.

And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.

And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, neither would he let the children of Israel go; as the LORD had spoken by Moses.

亞麻と大麥は壞滅した．大麥はちょうど穗の出る時期で，亞麻はつぼみの開く時期であったからである．

小麥と裸麥は壞滅を免れた．穗の出る時期が遲いからである．

モ ― セは，ファラオのもとから退出し町を出ると，兩手を廣げて主に祈った．すると，雷も音もやみ，大地に注ぐ雨もやんだ．

ファラオは，雨も音も雷もやんだのを見て，またもや過ちを重ね，彼も彼の家臣も心を頑迷にした．

ファラオの心はかたくなになり，イスラエルの人¿を去らせなかった．主がモ ― セを通して仰せになったとおりである．

And the LORD said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh: for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his servants, that I might shew these my signs before him:

And that thou mayest tell in the ears of thy son, and of thy son's son, what things I have wrought in Egypt, and my signs which I have done among them; that ye may know how that I am the LORD.

And Moses and Aaron came in unto Pharaoh, and said unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of the Hebrews, How long wilt thou refuse to humble thyself before me? let my people go, that they may serve me.

Else, if thou refuse to let my people go, behold, to morrow will I bring the locusts into thy coast:

And they shall cover the face of the earth, that one cannot be able to see the earth: and they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which remaineth unto you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which groweth for you out of the field:

主はモ ― セに言われた．「ファラオのもとに行きなさい．彼とその家臣の心を頑迷にしたのは，わたし自身である．それは，彼らのただ中でわたしがこれらのしるしを行うためであり，

わたしがエジプト人をどのようにあしらったか，どのようなしるしを行ったかをあなたが子孫に語り傳え，わたしが主であることをあなたたちが知るためである．」

モ ― セとアロンはファラオのところに行き，彼に言った．「ヘブライ人の神，主はこう言われた．『いつまで，あなたはわたしの前に身を低くするのを拒むのか．わたしの民を去らせ，わたしに仕えさせなさい．

もし，あなたがわたしの民を去らせることを拒み續けるならば，明日，わたしはあなたの領土にいなごを送り ¿む．

いなごは地表を覆い盡くし，地面を見ることもできなくなる．そして，音の害を免れた殘りのものを食い荒らし，野に生えているすべての木を食い盡くす．

And they shall fill thy houses, and the houses of all thy servants, and the houses of all the Egyptians; which neither thy fathers, nor thy fathers' fathers have seen, since the day that they were upon the earth unto this day. And he turned himself, and went out from Pharaoh.

And Pharaoh's servants said unto him, How long shall this man be a snare unto us? let the men go, that they may serve the LORD their God: knowest thou not yet that Egypt is destroyed?

And Moses and Aaron were brought again unto Pharaoh: and he said unto them, Go, serve the LORD your God: but who are they that shall go?

And Moses said, We will go with our young and with our old, with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds will we go; for we must hold a feast unto the LORD.

And he said unto them, Let the LORD be so with you, as I will let you go, and your little ones: look to it; for evil is before you.

また，あなたの王宮，家臣のすべての家，エジプト中の家にいなごが滿ちる．それは，あなたの先祖も，先祖の先祖も，この土地に住み着いたときから今日まで見たことがないものである』と．」彼が身を飜してファラオのもとから退出すると，

ファラオの家臣が王に進言した．「いつまで，この男はわたしたちを陷れる ┼となるのでしょうか．卽刻あの者たちを去らせ，彼らの神，主に仕えさせてはいかがでしょう．エジプトが滅びかかっているのが，まだお分かりになりませんか．」

モ ― セとアロンがファラオのもとに呼び戾されると，ファラオは二人に言った．「行って，あなたたちの神，主に仕えるがよい．誰と誰が行くのか．」

「若い者も年寄りも一緖に參ります．息子も娘も羊も牛も參ります．主の祭りは我¿全員のものです」とモ ― セが答えると，

ファラオは二人に言った．「よろしい．わたしがお前たちを家族ともども去らせるときは，主がお前たちと共におられるように．お前たちの前には災いが待っているのを知るがよい．

Not so: go now ye that are men, and serve the LORD; for that ye did desire. And they were driven out from Pharaoh's presence.

And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up upon the land of Egypt, and eat every herb of the land, even all that the hail hath left.

And Moses stretched forth his rod over the land of Egypt, and the LORD brought an east wind upon the land all that day, and all that night; and when it was morning, the east wind brought the locusts.

And the locust went up over all the land of Egypt, and rested in all the coasts of Egypt: very grievous were they; before them there were no such locusts as they, neither after them shall be such.

For they covered the face of the whole earth, so that the land was darkened; and they did eat every herb of the land, and all the fruit of the trees which the hail had left: and there remained not any green thing in the trees, or in the herbs of the field, through all the land of Egypt.

いや，行くならば，男たちだけで行って，主に仕えるがよい．それがお前たちの求めていたことだ．」ファラオは自分の前から彼らを追い出した．

主はモ ― セに言われた．「手をエジプトの地に差し伸べ，いなごを呼び寄せなさい．いなごはエジプトの國を襲い，地のあらゆる草，音の害を免れたすべてのものを食い盡くすであろう．」

モ ― セがエジプトの地に杖を差し伸べると，主はまる一¿夜，東風を吹かせられた．朝になると，東風がいなごの大群を運んで來た．

いなごは，エジプト全土を襲い，エジプトの領土全體にとどまった．このようにおびただしいいなごの大群は前にも後にもなかった．

いなごが地の面をすべて覆ったので，地は暗くなった．いなごは地のあらゆる草，音の害を免れた木の實をすべて食い盡くしたので，木であれ，野の草であれ，エジプト全土のどこにも綠のものは何一つ殘らなかった．

Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron in haste; and he said, I have sinned against the LORD your God, and against you.

Now therefore forgive, I pray thee, my sin only this once, and intreat the LORD your God, that he may take away from me this death only.

And he went out from Pharaoh, and intreated the LORD.

And the LORD turned a mighty strong west wind, which took away the locusts, and cast them into the Red sea; there remained not one locust in all the coasts of Egypt.

But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, so that he would not let the children of Israel go.

ファラオは急いでモ ― セとアロンを呼んで賴んだ．「あなたたちの神，主に對し，またあなたたちに對しても，わたしは過ちを犯した．

どうか，もう一度だけ過ちを赦して，あなたたちの神，主に祈願してもらいたい．こんな死に方だけはしないで濟むように．」

モ ― セがファラオのもとを退出して，主に祈願すると，

主は風向きを變え，甚だ强い西風とし，いなごを吹き飛ばして，葦の海に追いやられたので，エジプトの領土全體にいなごは一匹も殘らなかった．

しかし，主がファラオの心をかたくなにされたので，ファラオはイスラエルの人¿を去らせなかった．

And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.

And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days:

They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.

And Pharaoh called unto Moses, and said, Go ye, serve the LORD; only let your flocks and your herds be stayed: let your little ones also go with you.

And Moses said, Thou must give us also sacrifices and burnt offerings, that we may sacrifice unto the LORD our God.

主はモ ― セに言われた．「手を天に向かって差し伸べ，エジプトの地に闇を臨ませ，人がそれを手に感じるほどにしなさい．」

モ ― セが手を天に向かって差し伸べると，三日間エジプト全土に暗闇が臨んだ．

人¿は，三日間，互いに見ることも，自分のいる場所から立ち上がることもできなかったが，イスラエルの人¿が住んでいる所にはどこでも光があった．

ファラオがモ ― セを呼び寄せて，「行って，主に仕えるがよい．ただし，羊と牛は殘しておけ．妻子は連れて行ってもよい」と言うと，

モ ― セは答えた．「いいえ．あなた御自身からも，いけにえと燒き盡くす獻げ物をいただいて，我¿の神，主にささげたいと思っています．

Our cattle also shall go with us; there shall not an hoof be left behind; for thereof must we take to serve the LORD our God; and we know not with what we must serve the LORD, until we come thither.

But the LORD hardened Pharaoh's heart, and he would not let them go.

And Pharaoh said unto him, Get thee from me, take heed to thyself, see my face no more; for in that day thou seest my face thou shalt die.

And Moses said, Thou hast spoken well, I will see thy face again no more.

我¿の家畜も連れて行き，ひづめ一つ殘さないでしょう．我¿の神，主に仕えるためにその中から選ばねばなりません．そこに着くまでは，我¿自身どれをもって主に仕えるべきか，分からないのですから．」

しかし，主がまたファラオの心をかたくなにされたので，ファラオは彼らを去らせようとはしなかった．

ファラオが，「引き下がれ．二度とわたしの前に姿を見せないよう氣をつけよ．今度會ったら，生かしてはおかない」と言うと，

モ ― セは答えた．「よくぞ仰せになりました．二度とお會いしようとは思いません．」
