- Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken:
- And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
- And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
- Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
- So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

- 「その 苦難の 日¿の 後， たちまち ／太陽は 暗くなり， ／月は 光を 放たず， ／星は 空から 落ち， ／天體は ¿り 動かされる．
- そのとき， 人の 子の 徵が 天に 現れる． そして， そのとき， 地上のすべての 民族は 悲しみ， 人の 子が 大いなる 力と 榮光を 帶びて 天の 雲に 乘って 來るのを 見る．
- 人の 子は， 大きな ラッパ の 音を 合圖にその 天使たちを 遣わす． 天使たちは， 天の 果てから 果てまで， 彼によって 選ばれた 人たちを 四方から 呼び 集める． 」
- 「いちじくの 木から 敎えを 學びなさい． 枝が 柔らかくなり， 葉が 伸びると， 夏の 近づいたことが 分かる．
- それと 同じように， あなたがたは， これらすべてのことを 見たなら， 人の 子が 戶口に 近づいていると 悟りなさい．

- Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
- Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
- But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
- But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
- For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

- はっきり 言っておく． これらのことがみな 起こるまでは， この 時代は 決して 滅びない．
- 天地は 滅びるが， わたしの 言葉は 決して 滅びない． 」
- 「その 日， その 時は， だれも 知らない． 天使たちも 子も 知らない． ただ， 父だけがご 存じである．
- 人の 子が 來るのは， ノア の 時と 同じだからである．
- 洪水になる 前は， ノア が 箱舟に 入るその 日まで， 人¿は 食べたり 飮んだり， めとったり 嫁いだりしていた．

- And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
- Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
- Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
- Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
- But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.

- そして， 洪水が 襲って 來て 一人殘らずさらうまで， 何も 氣がつかなかった． 人の 子が 來る 場合も， このようである．
- そのとき， 畑に 二人の 男がいれば， 一人は 連れて 行かれ， もう 一人は 殘される．
- 二人の 女が 臼をひいていれば， 一人は 連れて 行かれ， もう 一人は 殘される．
- だから， 目を 覺ましていなさい． いつの 日， 自分の 主が 歸って 來られるのか， あなたがたには 分からないからである．
- このことをわきまえていなさい． 家の 主人は， 泥棒が 夜のいつごろやって 來るかを 知っていたら， 目を 覺ましていて， みすみす 自分の 家に 押し 入らせはしないだろう．

- Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.
- Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season?
- Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing.
- Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods.
- But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming;

- だから， あなたがたも 用意していなさい． 人の 子は 思いがけない 時に 來るからである． 」
- 「主人がその 家の 使用人たちの 上に 立てて， 時間どおり 彼らに 食事を 與えさせることにした 忠實で 賢い 僕は， いったいだれであろうか．
- 主人が 歸って 來たとき， 言われたとおりにしているのを 見られる 僕は 幸いである．
- はっきり 言っておくが， 主人は 彼に 全財産を 管理させるにちがいない．
- しかし， それが 惡い 僕で， 主人は 遲いと 思い，

- And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken;
- The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of,
- And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

- 仲間を 毆り 始め， 酒飮みどもと 一緖に 食べたり 飮んだりしているとする．
- もしそうなら， その 僕の 主人は 予想しない 日， 思いがけない 時に 歸って 來て，
- 彼を 嚴しく 罰し， 僞善者たちと 同じ 目に 遭わせる． そこで 泣きわめいて 齒ぎしりするだろう． 」
