- Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests,
- And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.
- And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him.
- Now the first day of the feast of unleavened bread the disciples came to Jesus, saying unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare for thee to eat the passover?
- And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto him, The Master saith, My time is at hand; I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.

- そのとき， 十二人の 一人で， イスカリオテ の ユダ という 者が， 祭司長たちのところへ 行き，
- 「あの 男をあなたたちに 引き 渡せば， 幾らくれますか 」と 言った． そこで， 彼らは 銀貨三十枚を 支拂うことにした．
- そのときから， ユダ は イエス を 引き 渡そうと， 良い 機會をねらっていた．
- 除酵祭の 第一日に， 弟子たちが イエス のところに 來て， 「どこに， 過越の 食事をなさる 用意をいたしましょうか 」と 言った．
- イエス は 言われた． 「都のあの 人のところに 行ってこう 言いなさい． 『先生が， 「わたしの 時が 近づいた． お 宅で 弟子たちと 一緖に 過越の 食事をする 」と 言っています． 』」

- And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover.
- Now when the even was come, he sat down with the twelve.
- And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.
- And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I?
- And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me.

- 弟子たちは， イエス に 命じられたとおりにして， 過越の 食事を 準備した．
- 夕方になると， イエス は 十二人と 一緖に 食事の 席に 着かれた．
- 一同が 食事をしているとき， イエス は 言われた． 「はっきり 言っておくが， あなたがたのうちの 一人がわたしを 裏切ろうとしている． 」
- 弟子たちは 非常に 心を 痛めて， 「主よ， まさかわたしのことでは 」と 代わる 代わる 言い 始めた．
- イエス はお 答えになった． 「わたしと 一緖に 手で 鉢に 食べ 物を 浸した 者が， わたしを 裏切る．

- The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born.
- Then Judas, which betrayed him, answered and said, Master, is it I? He said unto him, Thou hast said.
- And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed it, and brake it, and gave it to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is my body.
- And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, Drink ye all of it;
- For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.

- 人の 子は， 聖書に 書いてあるとおりに， 去って 行く． だが， 人の 子を 裏切るその 者は 不幸だ． 生まれなかった 方が， その 者のためによかった． 」
- イエス を 裏切ろうとしていた ユダ が 口をはさんで， 「先生， まさかわたしのことでは 」と 言うと， イエス は 言われた． 「それはあなたの 言ったことだ． 」
- 一同が 食事をしているとき， イエス は パン を 取り， 贊美の 祈りを 唱えて， それを 裂き， 弟子たちに 與えながら 言われた． 「取って 食べなさい． これはわたしの 體である． 」
- また， 杯を 取り， 感謝の 祈りを 唱え， 彼らに 渡して 言われた． 「皆， この 杯から 飮みなさい．
- これは， 罪が 赦されるように， 多くの 人のために 流されるわたしの 血， 契約の 血である．

- But I say unto you, I will not drink henceforth of this fruit of the vine, until that day when I drink it new with you in my Father's kingdom.
- And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives.
- Then saith Jesus unto them, All ye shall be offended because of me this night: for it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad.
- But after I am risen again, I will go before you into Galilee.
- Peter answered and said unto him, Though all men shall be offended because of thee, yet will I never be offended.

- 言っておくが， わたしの 父の 國であなたがたと 共に 新たに 飮むその 日まで， 今後ぶどうの 實から 作ったものを 飮むことは 決してあるまい． 」
- 一同は 贊美の 歌をうたってから， オリ ― ブ 山へ 出かけた．
- そのとき， イエス は 弟子たちに 言われた． 「今夜， あなたがたは 皆わたしにつまずく． 『わたしは 羊飼いを 打つ． すると， 羊の 群れは 散ってしまう 』／と 書いてあるからだ．
- しかし， わたしは 復活した 後， あなたがたより 先に ガリラヤ へ 行く． 」
- すると ペトロ が， 「たとえ， みんながあなたにつまずいても， わたしは 決してつまずきません 」と 言った．

- Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, That this night, before the cock crow, thou shalt deny me thrice.
- Peter said unto him, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples.
- Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder.
- And he took with him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, and began to be sorrowful and very heavy.
- Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.

- イエス は 言われた． 「はっきり 言っておく． あなたは 今夜， 鷄が 鳴く 前に， 三度わたしのことを 知らないと 言うだろう． 」
- ペトロ は， 「たとえ， 御一緖に 死なねばならなくなっても， あなたのことを 知らないなどとは 決して 申しません 」と 言った． 弟子たちも 皆， 同じように 言った．
- それから， イエス は 弟子たちと 一緖に ゲツセマネ という 所に 來て， 「わたしが 向こうへ 行って 祈っている 間， ここに 座っていなさい 」と 言われた．
- ペトロ および ゼベダイ の 子二人を 伴われたが， そのとき， 悲しみもだえ 始められた．
- そして， 彼らに 言われた． 「わたしは 死ぬばかりに 悲しい． ここを 離れず， わたしと 共に 目を 覺ましていなさい． 」

- And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt.
- And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?
- Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
- He went away again the second time, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done.
- And he came and found them asleep again: for their eyes were heavy.

- 少し 進んで 行って， うつ 伏せになり， 祈って 言われた． 「父よ， できることなら， この 杯をわたしから 過ぎ 去らせてください． しかし， わたしの 願いどおりではなく， 御心のままに． 」
- それから， 弟子たちのところへ 戾って 御覽になると， 彼らは 眠っていたので， ペトロ に 言われた． 「あなたがたはこのように， わずか 一時もわたしと 共に 目を 覺ましていられなかったのか．
- 誘惑に 陷らぬよう， 目を 覺まして 祈っていなさい． 心は 燃えても， 肉體は 弱い． 」
- 更に， 二度目に 向こうへ 行って 祈られた． 「父よ， わたしが 飮まないかぎりこの 杯が 過ぎ 去らないのでしたら， あなたの 御心が 行われますように． 」
- 再び 戾って 御覽になると， 弟子たちは 眠っていた． ひどく 眠かったのである．

- And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words.
- Then cometh he to his disciples, and saith unto them, Sleep on now, and take your rest: behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
- Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me.

- そこで， 彼らを 離れ， また 向こうへ 行って， 三度目も 同じ 言葉で 祈られた．
- それから， 弟子たちのところに 戾って 來て 言われた． 「あなたがたはまだ 眠っている． 休んでいる． 時が 近づいた． 人の 子は 罪人たちの 手に 引き 渡される．
- 立て， 行こう． 見よ， わたしを 裏切る 者が 來た． 」
