- And he began again to teach by the sea side: and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship, and sat in the sea; and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land.
- And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine,
- Hearken; Behold, there went out a sower to sow:
- And it came to pass, as he sowed, some fell by the way side, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up.
- And some fell on stony ground, where it had not much earth; and immediately it sprang up, because it had no depth of earth:

- イエス は， 再び 湖のほとりで 敎え 始められた． おびただしい 群衆が， そばに 集まって 來た． そこで， イエス は 舟に 乘って 腰を 下ろし， 湖の 上におられたが， 群衆は 皆， 湖畔にいた．
- イエス はたとえでいろいろと 敎えられ， その 中で 次のように 言われた．
- 「よく 聞きなさい． 種を 蒔く 人が 種蒔きに 出て 行った．
- 蒔いている 間に， ある 種は 道端に 落ち， 鳥が 來て 食べてしまった．
- ほかの 種は， 石だらけで 土の 少ない 所に 落ち， そこは 土が 淺いのですぐ 芽を 出した．

- But when the sun was up, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.
- And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and it yielded no fruit.
- And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.
- And he said unto them, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
- And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twelve asked of him the parable.

- しかし， 日が 昇ると 燒けて， 根がないために 枯れてしまった．
- ほかの 種は 茨の 中に 落ちた． すると 茨が 伸びて 覆いふさいだので， 實を 結ばなかった．
- また， ほかの 種は 良い 土地に 落ち， 芽生え， 育って 實を 結び， あるものは 三十倍， あるものは 六十倍， あるものは 百倍にもなった． 」
- そして， 「聞く 耳のある 者は 聞きなさい 」と 言われた．
- イエス がひとりになられたとき， 十二人と 一緖に イエス の 周りにいた 人たちとがたとえについて 尋ねた．

- And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:
- That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.
- And he said unto them, Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?
- The sower soweth the word.
- And these are they by the way side, where the word is sown; but when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately, and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts.

- そこで， イエス は 言われた． 「あなたがたには 神の 國の 秘密が 打ち 明けられているが， 外の 人¿には， すべてがたとえで 示される．
- それは， ／『彼らが 見るには 見るが， 認めず， ／聞くには 聞くが， 理解できず， ／こうして， 立ち 歸って 赦されることがない 』／ようになるためである． 」
- また， イエス は 言われた． 「このたとえが 分からないのか． では， どうしてほかのたとえが 理解できるだろうか．
- 種を 蒔く 人は， 神の 言葉を 蒔くのである．
- 道端のものとは， こういう 人たちである． そこに 御言葉が 蒔かれ， それを 聞いても， すぐに サタン が 來て， 彼らに 蒔かれた 御言葉を 奪い 去る．

- And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground; who, when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness;
- And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word's sake, immediately they are offended.
- And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word,
- And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.
- And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.

- 石だらけの 所に 蒔かれるものとは， こういう 人たちである． 御言葉を 聞くとすぐ 喜んで 受け 入れるが，
- 自分には 根がないので， しばらくは 續いても， 後で 御言葉のために ·難や 迫害が 起こると， すぐにつまずいてしまう．
- また， ほかの 人たちは 茨の 中に 蒔かれるものである． この 人たちは 御言葉を 聞くが，
- この 世の 思い 煩いや 富の 誘惑， その 他いろいろな 欲望が 心に 入り ¿み， 御言葉を 覆いふさいで 實らない．
- 良い 土地に 蒔かれたものとは， 御言葉を 聞いて 受け 入れる 人たちであり， ある 者は 三十倍， ある 者は 六十倍， ある 者は 百倍の 實を 結ぶのである． 」

- And he said unto them, Is a candle brought to be put under a bushel, or under a bed? and not to be set on a candlestick?
- For there is nothing hid, which shall not be manifested; neither was any thing kept secret, but that it should come abroad.
- If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
- And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.
- For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.

- また， イエス は 言われた． 「ともし 火を 持って 來るのは， 升の 下や 寢台の 下に 置くためだろうか． 燭台の 上に 置くためではないか．
- 隱れているもので， あらわにならないものはなく， 秘められたもので， 公にならないものはない．
- 聞く 耳のある 者は 聞きなさい． 」
- また， 彼らに 言われた． 「何を 聞いているかに 注意しなさい． あなたがたは 自分の 量る 秤で 量り 與えられ， 更にたくさん 與えられる．
- 持っている 人は 更に 與えられ， 持っていない 人は 持っているものまでも 取り 上げられる． 」

- And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground;
- And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how.
- For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear.
- But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.
- And he said, Whereunto shall we liken the kingdom of God? or with what comparison shall we compare it?

- また， イエス は 言われた． 「神の 國は 次のようなものである． 人が 土に 種を 蒔いて，
- 夜¿， 寢起きしているうちに， 種は 芽を 出して 成長するが， どうしてそうなるのか， その 人は 知らない．
- 土はひとりでに 實を 結ばせるのであり， まず 莖， 次に 穗， そしてその 穗には 豊かな 實ができる．
- 實が 熟すと， 早速， 鎌を 入れる． 收穫の 時が 來たからである． 」
- 更に， イエス は 言われた． 「神の 國を 何にたとえようか． どのようなたとえで 示そうか．

- It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, when it is sown in the earth, is less than all the seeds that be in the earth:
- But when it is sown, it groweth up, and becometh greater than all herbs, and shooteth out great branches; so that the fowls of the air may lodge under the shadow of it.
- And with many such parables spake he the word unto them, as they were able to hear it.
- But without a parable spake he not unto them: and when they were alone, he expounded all things to his disciples.

- それは， からし 種のようなものである． 土に 蒔くときには， 地上のどんな 種よりも 小さいが，
- 蒔くと， 成長してどんな 野菜よりも 大きくなり， 葉の 陰に 空の 鳥が 巢を 作れるほど 大きな 枝を 張る． 」
- イエス は， 人¿の 聞く 力に 應じて， このように 多くのたとえで 御言葉を 語られた．
- たとえを 用いずに 語ることはなかったが， 御自分の 弟子たちにはひそかにすべてを 說明された．
