- And from thence he arose, and went into the borders of Tyre and Sidon, and entered into an house, and would have no man know it: but he could not be hid.
- For a certain woman, whose young daughter had an unclean spirit, heard of him, and came and fell at his feet:
- The woman was a Greek, a Syrophenician by nation; and she besought him that he would cast forth the devil out of her daughter.
- But Jesus said unto her, Let the children first be filled: for it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it unto the dogs.
- And she answered and said unto him, Yes, Lord: yet the dogs under the table eat of the children's crumbs.

- イエス はそこを 立ち 去って， ティルス の 地方に 行かれた． ある 家に 入り， だれにも 知られたくないと 思っておられたが， 人¿に 氣づかれてしまった．
- 汚れた 靈に 取りつかれた 幼い 娘を 持つ 女が， すぐに イエス のことを 聞きつけ， 來てその 足もとにひれ 伏した．
- 女は ギリシア 人で シリア · フェニキア の 生まれであったが， 娘から 惡靈を 追い 出してくださいと 賴んだ．
- イエス は 言われた． 「まず， 子供たちに 十分食べさせなければならない． 子供たちの パン を 取って， 小犬にやってはいけない． 」
- ところが， 女は 答えて 言った． 「主よ， しかし， 食卓の 下の 小犬も， 子供の パン 屑はいただきます． 」

- And he said unto her, For this saying go thy way; the devil is gone out of thy daughter.
- And when she was come to her house, she found the devil gone out, and her daughter laid upon the bed.
- And again, departing from the coasts of Tyre and Sidon, he came unto the sea of Galilee, through the midst of the coasts of Decapolis.
- And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him.
- And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue;

- そこで， イエス は 言われた． 「それほど 言うなら， よろしい． 家に 歸りなさい． 惡靈はあなたの 娘からもう 出てしまった． 」
- 女が 家に 歸ってみると， その 子は 床の 上に 寢ており， 惡靈は 出てしまっていた．
- それからまた， イエス は ティルス の 地方を 去り， シドン を 經て デカポリス 地方を 通り 拔け， ガリラヤ 湖へやって 來られた．
- 人¿は 耳が 聞こえず 舌の 回らない 人を 連れて 來て， その 上に 手を 置いてくださるようにと 願った．
- そこで， イエス はこの 人だけを 群衆の 中から 連れ 出し， 指をその 兩耳に 差し 入れ， それから 唾をつけてその 舌に 觸れられた．

- And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha, that is, Be opened.
- And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain.
- And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he charged them, so much the more a great deal they published it;
- And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.

- そして， 天を 仰いで 深く 息をつき， その 人に 向かって， 「エッファタ 」と 言われた． これは， 「開け 」という 意味である．
- すると， たちまち 耳が 開き， 舌のもつれが 解け， はっきり 話すことができるようになった．
- イエス は 人¿に， だれにもこのことを 話してはいけない， と 口止めをされた． しかし， イエス が 口止めをされればされるほど， 人¿はかえってますます 言い 廣めた．
- そして， すっかり 驚いて 言った． 「この 方のなさったことはすべて， すばらしい． 耳の 聞こえない 人を 聞こえるようにし， 口の 利けない 人を 話せるようにしてくださる． 」
