- And he began to speak unto them by parables. A certain man planted a vineyard, and set an hedge about it, and digged a place for the winefat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country.
- And at the season he sent to the husbandmen a servant, that he might receive from the husbandmen of the fruit of the vineyard.
- And they caught him, and beat him, and sent him away empty.
- And again he sent unto them another servant; and at him they cast stones, and wounded him in the head, and sent him away shamefully handled.
- And again he sent another; and him they killed, and many others; beating some, and killing some.

- イエス は， たとえで 彼らに 話し 始められた． 「ある 人がぶどう 園を 作り， 垣を 巡らし， 搾り 場を 掘り， 見張りのやぐらを 立て， これを 農夫たちに 貸して 旅に 出た．
- 收穫の 時になったので， ぶどう 園の 收穫を 受け 取るために， 僕を 農夫たちのところへ 送った．
- だが， 農夫たちは， この 僕を 捕まえて 袋だたきにし， 何も 持たせないで 歸した．
- そこでまた， 他の 僕を 送ったが， 農夫たちはその 頭を 毆り， 侮辱した．
- 更に， もう 一人を 送ったが， 今度は 殺した． そのほかに 多くの 僕を 送ったが， ある 者は 毆られ， ある 者は 殺された．

- Having yet therefore one son, his wellbeloved, he sent him also last unto them, saying, They will reverence my son.
- But those husbandmen said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and the inheritance shall be our's.
- And they took him, and killed him, and cast him out of the vineyard.
- What shall therefore the lord of the vineyard do? he will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard unto others.
- And have ye not read this scripture; The stone which the builders rejected is become the head of the corner:

- まだ 一人， 愛する 息子がいた． 『わたしの 息子なら 敬ってくれるだろう 』と 言って， 最後に 息子を 送った．
- 農夫たちは 話し 合った． 『これは 跡取りだ． さあ， 殺してしまおう． そうすれば， 相續財産は 我¿のものになる． 』
- そして， 息子を 捕まえて 殺し， ぶどう 園の 外にほうり 出してしまった．
- さて， このぶどう 園の 主人は， どうするだろうか． 戾って 來て 農夫たちを 殺し， ぶどう 園をほかの 人たちに 與えるにちがいない．
- 聖書にこう 書いてあるのを 讀んだことがないのか． 『家を 建てる 者の 捨てた 石， ／これが 隅の 親石となった．

- This was the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?
- And they sought to lay hold on him, but feared the people: for they knew that he had spoken the parable against them: and they left him, and went their way.
- And they send unto him certain of the Pharisees and of the Herodians, to catch him in his words.
- And when they were come, they say unto him, Master, we know that thou art true, and carest for no man: for thou regardest not the person of men, but teachest the way of God in truth: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
- Shall we give, or shall we not give? But he, knowing their hypocrisy, said unto them, Why tempt ye me? bring me a penny, that I may see it.

- これは， 主がなさったことで， ／わたしたちの 目には 不思議に 見える． 』」
- 彼らは， イエス が 自分たちに 當てつけてこのたとえを 話されたと 氣づいたので， イエス を 捕らえようとしたが， 群衆を 恐れた． それで， イエス をその 場に 殘して 立ち 去った．
- さて， 人¿は， イエス の 言葉じりをとらえて 陷れようとして， ファリサイ 派や ヘロデ 派の 人を 數人 イエス のところに 遣わした．
- 彼らは 來て， イエス に 言った． 「先生， わたしたちは， あなたが 眞實な 方で， だれをもはばからない 方であることを 知っています． 人¿を 分け 隔てせず， 眞理に 基づいて 神の 道を 敎えておられるからです． ところで， 皇帝に 稅金を 納めるのは， 律法に 適っているでしょうか， 適っていないでしょうか． 納めるべきでしょうか， 納めてはならないのでしょうか． 」
- イエス は， 彼らの 下心を 見拔いて 言われた． 「なぜ， わたしを 試そうとするのか． デナリオン 銀貨を 持って 來て 見せなさい． 」

- And they brought it. And he saith unto them, Whose is this image and superscription? And they said unto him, Caesar's.
- And Jesus answering said unto them, Render to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's. And they marvelled at him.

- 彼らがそれを 持って 來ると， イエス は， 「これは， だれの 肖像と 銘か 」と 言われた． 彼らが， 「皇帝のものです 」と 言うと，
- イエス は 言われた． 「皇帝のものは 皇帝に， 神のものは 神に 返しなさい． 」彼らは， イエス の 答えに 驚き 入った．
