민수기 24:1-25:18

 모압 왕 발락은 복술가 발람으로 하여금 이스라엘을 저주하게 하려고 했으나, 하나님의 신은 발람으로 하여금 오히려 이스라엘을 축복하도록 역사하셨다. 한편 모압 여자들과 음행하고 그들의 우상을 섬기기 시작한 이스라엘은 하나님의 진노와 징벌을 받음으로써 한 분 하나님만을 섬겨야 됨을 다시금 배우게 되었다.
  
  발람의 예언(24:1-24:25)    
 
  1. And when Balaam saw that it pleased the LORD to bless Israel, he went not, as at other times, to seek for enchantments, but he set his face toward the wilderness.
  2. And Balaam lifted up his eyes, and he saw Israel abiding in his tents according to their tribes; and the spirit of God came upon him.
  3. And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said:
  4. He hath said, which heard the words of God, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:
  5. How goodly are thy tents, O Jacob, and thy tabernacles, O Israel!
  1. バラム は， イスラエル を 祝福することが 主の 良いとされることであると 悟り， いつものようにまじないを 行いに 行くことをせず， 顔を 荒れ 野に 向けた．
  2. バラム は 目を 凝らして， イスラエル が 部族ごとに 宿營しているのを 見渡した． 神の 靈がそのとき， 彼に 臨んだ．
  3. 彼はこの 託宣を 述べた． ベオル の 子 バラム の 言葉． 目の 澄んだ 者の 言葉．
  4. 神の 仰せを 聞き ／全能者のお 與えになる 幻を 見る 者 ／倒れ 伏し， 目を 開かれている 者の 言葉．
  5. いかに 良いことか ／ ヤコブ よ， あなたの 天幕は ／ イスラエル よ， あなたの 住む 所は．
  1. As the valleys are they spread forth, as gardens by the river's side, as the trees of lign aloes which the LORD hath planted, and as cedar trees beside the waters.
  2. He shall pour the water out of his buckets, and his seed shall be in many waters, and his king shall be higher than Agag, and his kingdom shall be exalted.
  3. God brought him forth out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn: he shall eat up the nations his enemies, and shall break their bones, and pierce them through with his arrows.
  4. He couched, he lay down as a lion, and as a great lion: who shall stir him up? Blessed is he that blesseth thee, and cursed is he that curseth thee.
  5. And Balak's anger was kindled against Balaam, and he smote his hands together: and Balak said unto Balaam, I called thee to curse mine enemies, and, behold, thou hast altogether blessed them these three times.
  1. それは 廣がる 谷 ／大河の 岸の 園のようだ． それは 主が 植えられた アロエ の 木のよう ／水のほとりの 杉のようだ．
  2. 水は 彼らの 革袋から 溢れ ／種は 豊かな 水を 得て 育つ． 彼らの 王は アガグ よりも 榮え ／その 王國は 高く 上げられる．
  3. エジプト から 彼らを 導き 出された 神は ／彼らにとって 野牛の 角のようだ． 彼らは， 敵對する 國を 食らい 盡くし ／骨を ¿き， 矢で 刺し 通す．
  4. 雄獅子のように 伏し ／雌獅子のように 橫たわる 彼らを ／起き 上がらせることができる 者があろうか． あなたを 祝福する 者は 祝福され ／あなたを 呪う 者は 呪われる．
  5. バラク は バラム に 對して 激しく 怒り， 手を 打ち 鳴らしながら， バラム に 言った． 「敵に 呪いをかけるために 招いたのに， 見よ， お 前は 三度も 祝福した．
  1. Therefore now flee thou to thy place: I thought to promote thee unto great honour; but, lo, the LORD hath kept thee back from honour.
  2. And Balaam said unto Balak, Spake I not also to thy messengers which thou sentest unto me, saying,
  3. If Balak would give me his house full of silver and gold, I cannot go beyond the commandment of the LORD, to do either good or bad of mine own mind; but what the LORD saith, that will I speak?
  4. And now, behold, I go unto my people: come therefore, and I will advertise thee what this people shall do to thy people in the latter days.
  5. And he took up his parable, and said, Balaam the son of Beor hath said, and the man whose eyes are open hath said:
  1. 自分の 所に 逃げ 歸るがよい． お 前を 大いに 優遇するつもりでいたが， 主がそれを 差し 止められたのだ． 」
  2. バラム は バラク に 言った． 「あなたがわたしのもとに 遣わした 使者に 對しても， わたしはこう 言ったではありませんか．
  3. 『たとえ バラク が， 家に 滿ちる 金銀を 贈ってくれても， 主の 言葉に 逆らっては， 善にしろ 惡にしろ， わたしの 心のままにすることはできません． わたしは， 主が 告げられることを 告げるだけです 』と．
  4. わたしは 今， わたしの 民のもとに 歸ります． 後の 日にこの 民があなたの 民に 對して 何をするか， あなたに 警告しておきます． 」
  5. そして 彼はこの 託宣を 述べた． ベオル の 子 バラム の 言葉． 目の 澄んだ 者の 言葉．
  1. He hath said, which heard the words of God, and knew the knowledge of the most High, which saw the vision of the Almighty, falling into a trance, but having his eyes open:
  2. I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh: there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel, and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.
  3. And Edom shall be a possession, Seir also shall be a possession for his enemies; and Israel shall do valiantly.
  4. Out of Jacob shall come he that shall have dominion, and shall destroy him that remaineth of the city.
  5. And when he looked on Amalek, he took up his parable, and said, Amalek was the first of the nations; but his latter end shall be that he perish for ever.
  1. 神の 仰せを 聞き， いと 高き 神の 知識を 持ち ／全能者のお 與えになる 幻を 見る 者 ／倒れ 伏し， 目を 開かれている 者の 言葉．
  2. わたしには 彼が 見える． しかし， 今はいない． 彼を 仰いでいる． しかし， 間近にではない． ひとつの 星が ヤコブ から 進み 出る． ひとつの ヴ が イスラエル から 立ち 上がり ／ モアブ のこめかみを 打ち ¿き ／ シェト のすべての 子らの 頭の 頂を ¿く．
  3. エドム はその 繼ぐべき 地となり ／敵對する セイル は 繼ぐべき 地となり ／ イスラエル は 力を 示す．
  4. ヤコブ から 支配する 者が 出て ／殘ったものを 町から 絶やす．
  5. 彼は アマレク を 見渡して， この 託宣を 述べた． アマレク は 諸國の 民の 頭 ／しかし， その 末はとこしえの 滅びに 至る．
  1. And he looked on the Kenites, and took up his parable, and said, Strong is thy dwellingplace, and thou puttest thy nest in a rock.
  2. Nevertheless the Kenite shall be wasted, until Asshur shall carry thee away captive.
  3. And he took up his parable, and said, Alas, who shall live when God doeth this!
  4. And ships shall come from the coast of Chittim, and shall afflict Asshur, and shall afflict Eber, and he also shall perish for ever.
  5. And Balaam rose up, and went and returned to his place: and Balak also went his way.
  1. 彼は カイン 人を 見渡して， この 託宣を 述べた． お 前の 住む 所は 確かであり ／お 前は 巢（ケン ）を 岩の 上に 置く．
  2. しかし， アシュル がお 前をとりこにするとき ／ カイン は 必ず， 燒き 滅ぼされる．
  3. 彼はまたこの 託宣を 述べた． 災いだ ／北から 軍團を 組んで 來る 者よ
  4. キティム から 寄せ 來る 者よ． 彼らは アシュル を 苦しめ， エベル を 苦しめるが ／彼もまた， とこしえの 滅びに 至る．
  5. バラム は 立ち 上がり， 自分の 所に 歸って 行った． バラク も 自分の 道を 去って 行った．
 
  이스라엘의 우상 숭배(25:1-25:18)    
 
  1. And Israel abode in Shittim, and the people began to commit whoredom with the daughters of Moab.
  2. And they called the people unto the sacrifices of their gods: and the people did eat, and bowed down to their gods.
  3. And Israel joined himself unto Baalpeor: and the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel.
  4. And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.
  5. And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye every one his men that were joined unto Baalpeor.
  1. イスラエル が シティム に 滯在していたとき， 民は モアブ の 娘たちに 從って 背信の 行爲をし 始めた．
  2. 娘たちは 自分たちの 神¿に ¿牲をささげるときに 民を 招き， 民はその 食事に 加わって 娘たちの 神¿を 拜んだ．
  3. イスラエル はこうして， ペオル の バアル を 慕ったので， 主は イスラエル に 對して 憤られた．
  4. 主は モ ― セ に 言われた． 「民の 長たちをことごとく 捕らえ， 主の 御前で 彼らを 處刑し， 白日の 下にさらしなさい． そうすれば， 主の 憤りは イスラエル から 去るであろう． 」
  5. モ ― セ は イスラエル の 裁判人たちに 言った． 「おのおの， 自分の 配下で， ペオル の バアル を 慕った 者を 殺しなさい． 」
  1. And, behold, one of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman in the sight of Moses, and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping before the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
  2. And when Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand;
  3. And he went after the man of Israel into the tent, and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel.
  4. And those that died in the plague were twenty and four thousand.
  5. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
  1. そのとき， モ ― セ と イスラエル の 人¿の 共同體全體が 臨在の 幕屋の 入り 口で 嘆いているその 目の 前に， 一人の イスラエル 人が ミディアン 人の 女を 連れて 同胞のもとに 入って 來た．
  2. 祭司 アロン の 孫で， エルアザル の 子である ピネハス はそれを 見ると， 共同體の 中から 立ち 上がって， 槍を 手に 取り，
  3. その イスラエル 人の 後を 追って 奧の 部屋まで 行き， この 二人， すなわち イスラエル 人とその 女を 共に 突き 刺した． 槍は 女の 腹に 達した． それによって， イスラエル を 襲った 災害は 治まったが，
  4. この 災害で 死んだ 者は 二万四千人であった．
  5. 主は モ ― セ に 仰せになった．
  1. Phinehas, the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, hath turned my wrath away from the children of Israel, while he was zealous for my sake among them, that I consumed not the children of Israel in my jealousy.
  2. Wherefore say, Behold, I give unto him my covenant of peace:
  3. And he shall have it, and his seed after him, even the covenant of an everlasting priesthood; because he was zealous for his God, and made an atonement for the children of Israel.
  4. Now the name of the Israelite that was slain, even that was slain with the Midianitish woman, was Zimri, the son of Salu, a prince of a chief house among the Simeonites.
  5. And the name of the Midianitish woman that was slain was Cozbi, the daughter of Zur; he was head over a people, and of a chief house in Midian.
  1. 「祭司 アロン の 孫で， エルアザル の 子である ピネハス は， わたしが イスラエル の 人¿に 抱く 熱情と 同じ 熱情によって 彼らに 對するわたしの 怒りを 去らせた． それでわたしは， わたしの 熱情をもって イスラエル の 人¿を 絶ち 滅ぼすことはしなかった．
  2. それゆえ， こう 告げるがよい． 『見よ， わたしは 彼にわたしの 平和の 契約を 授ける．
  3. 彼と 彼に 續く 子孫は， 永遠の 祭司職の 契約にあずかる． 彼がその 神に 對する 熱情を 表し， イスラエル の 人¿のために， 罪の ·いをしたからである． 』」
  4. ミディアン 人の 女と 一緖に 殺された イスラエル 人の 名は， サル の 子 ジムリ といい， シメオン 族のうちの 家族の 指導者であった．
  5. また， 殺された ミディアン 人の 女の 名は コズビ といい， ミディアン 人の 部族の 父祖の 家の 長である ツル の 娘であった．
  1. And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
  2. Vex the Midianites, and smite them:
  3. For they vex you with their wiles, wherewith they have beguiled you in the matter of Peor, and in the matter of Cozbi, the daughter of a prince of Midian, their sister, which was slain in the day of the plague for Peor's sake.
  1. 主は モ ― セ に 仰せになった．
  2. 「ミディアン 人を 襲い， 彼らを 擊ちなさい．
  3. 彼らは， お 前たちを 巧みに 惑わして 襲い， ペオル の 事件を 引き 起こし， またこの 事件のために 災害が 襲った 日に 殺された 彼らの 同族の 女， ミディアン 人の 指導者の 娘 コズビ の 事件を 起こしたからである． 」
 
  쇠미(衰微, 24:22)  점차 소멸되어 감
