- Now the feast of unleavened bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover.
- And the chief priests and scribes sought how they might kill him; for they feared the people.
- Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.
- And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them.
- And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money.

- さて， 過越祭と 言われている 除酵祭が 近づいていた．
- 祭司長たちや 律法學者たちは， イエス を 殺すにはどうしたらよいかと 考えていた． 彼らは 民衆を 恐れていたのである．
- しかし， 十二人の 中の 一人で， イスカリオテ と 呼ばれる ユダ の 中に， サタン が 入った．
- ユダ は 祭司長たちや 神殿守衛長たちのもとに 行き， どのようにして イエス を 引き 渡そうかと 相談をもちかけた．
- 彼らは 喜び， ユダ に 金を 與えることに 決めた．

- And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray him unto them in the absence of the multitude.
- Then came the day of unleavened bread, when the passover must be killed.
- And he sent Peter and John, saying, Go and prepare us the passover, that we may eat.
- And they said unto him, Where wilt thou that we prepare?
- And he said unto them, Behold, when ye are entered into the city, there shall a man meet you, bearing a pitcher of water; follow him into the house where he entereth in.

- ユダ は 承諾して， 群衆のいないときに イエス を 引き 渡そうと， 良い 機會をねらっていた．
- 過越の 小羊を 屠るべき 除酵祭の 日が 來た．
- イエス は ペトロ と ヨハネ とを 使いに 出そうとして， 「行って 過越の 食事ができるように 準備しなさい 」と 言われた．
- 二人が， 「どこに 用意いたしましょうか 」と 言うと，
- イエス は 言われた． 「都に 入ると， 水がめを 運んでいる 男に 出會う． その 人が 入る 家までついて 行き，

- And ye shall say unto the goodman of the house, The Master saith unto thee, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the passover with my disciples?
- And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished: there make ready.
- And they went, and found as he had said unto them: and they made ready the passover.

- 家の 主人にはこう 言いなさい． 『先生が， 「弟子たちと 一緖に 過越の 食事をする 部屋はどこか 」とあなたに 言っています． 』
- すると， 席の 整った 二階の 廣間を 見せてくれるから， そこに 準備をしておきなさい． 」
- 二人が 行ってみると， イエス が 言われたとおりだったので， 過越の 食事を 準備した．
