룻기 3:1-4:22

 나오미는 룻과 보아스를 결혼시킬 것을 계획하고 룻은 나오미의 뜻을 따라 보아스에게 기업 무를 자의 의무를 이행하도록 요청했다. 이에 보아스는 그 절차를 이행하여 룻을 아내로 맞아 오벳을 낳았는데, 그는 다윗의 조부가 되었다.
  
  나오미의 계획(3:1-3:18)    
 
  1. Then Naomi her mother in law said unto her, My daughter, shall I not seek rest for thee, that it may be well with thee?
  2. And now is not Boaz of our kindred, with whose maidens thou wast? Behold, he winnoweth barley to night in the threshingfloor.
  3. Wash thyself therefore, and anoint thee, and put thy raiment upon thee, and get thee down to the floor: but make not thyself known unto the man, until he shall have done eating and drinking.
  4. And it shall be, when he lieth down, that thou shalt mark the place where he shall lie, and thou shalt go in, and uncover his feet, and lay thee down; and he will tell thee what thou shalt do.
  5. And she said unto her, All that thou sayest unto me I will do.
  1. しゅうとめの ナオミ が 言った． 「わたしの 娘よ， わたしはあなたが 幸せになる 落ち 着き 先を 探してきました．
  2. あなたが 一緖に ¿いてきた 女たちの 雇い 主 ボアズ はわたしたちの 親戚です． あの 人は 今晩， 麥打ち 場で 大麥をふるい 分けるそうです．
  3. 體を 洗って 香油を 塗り， 肩掛けを 羽織って 麥打ち 場に 下って 行きなさい． ただあの 人が 食事を 濟ませ， 飮み 終わるまでは 氣づかれないようにしなさい．
  4. あの 人が 休むとき， その 場所を 見屆けておいて， 後でそばへ 行き， あの 人の 衣の ¿で 身を 覆って 橫になりなさい． その 後すべきことは， あの 人が 敎えてくれるでしょう． 」
  5. ルツ は， 「言われるとおりにいたします 」と 言い，
  1. And she went down unto the floor, and did according to all that her mother in law bade her.
  2. And when Boaz had eaten and drunk, and his heart was merry, he went to lie down at the end of the heap of corn: and she came softly, and uncovered his feet, and laid her down.
  3. And it came to pass at midnight, that the man was afraid, and turned himself: and, behold, a woman lay at his feet.
  4. And he said, Who art thou? And she answered, I am Ruth thine handmaid: spread therefore thy skirt over thine handmaid; for thou art a near kinsman.
  5. And he said, Blessed be thou of the LORD, my daughter: for thou hast shewed more kindness in the latter end than at the beginning, inasmuch as thou followedst not young men, whether poor or rich.
  1. 麥打ち 場に 下って 行き， しゅうとめに 命じられたとおりにした．
  2. ボアズ は 食事をし， 飮み 終わると 心地よくなって， 山と 積まれた 麥束の 端に 身を 橫たえた． ルツ は 忍び 寄り， 彼の 衣の ¿で 身を 覆って 橫になった．
  3. 夜半になって ボアズ は 寒氣がし， 手探りで 覆いを 搜した． 見ると， 一人の 女が 足もとに 寢ていた．
  4. 「お 前は 誰だ 」と ボアズ が 言うと， ルツ は 答えた． 「わたしは， あなたのはしため ルツ です． どうぞあなたの 衣の ¿を 廣げて， このはしためを 覆ってください． あなたは 家を 絶やさぬ 責任のある 方です． 」
  5. ボアズ は 言った． 「わたしの 娘よ． どうかあなたに 主の 祝福があるように． あなたは， 若者なら， 富のあるなしにかかわらず 追いかけるというようなことをしなかった． 今あなたが 示した 眞心は， 今までの 眞心よりまさっています．
  1. And now, my daughter, fear not; I will do to thee all that thou requirest: for all the city of my people doth know that thou art a virtuous woman.
  2. And now it is true that I am thy near kinsman: howbeit there is a kinsman nearer than I.
  3. Tarry this night, and it shall be in the morning, that if he will perform unto thee the part of a kinsman, well; let him do the kinsman's part: but if he will not do the part of a kinsman to thee, then will I do the part of a kinsman to thee, as the LORD liveth: lie down until the morning.
  4. And she lay at his feet until the morning: and she rose up before one could know another. And he said, Let it not be known that a woman came into the floor.
  5. Also he said, Bring the vail that thou hast upon thee, and hold it. And when she held it, he measured six measures of barley, and laid it on her: and she went into the city.
  1. わたしの 娘よ， 心配しなくていい． きっと， あなたが 言うとおりにします． この 町のおもだった 人は 皆， あなたが 立派な 婦人であることをよく 知っている．
  2. 確かにわたしも 家を 絶やさぬ 責任のある 人間ですが， 實はわたし 以上にその 責任のある 人がいる．
  3. 今夜はここで 過ごしなさい． 明日の 朝その 人が 責任を 果たすというのならそうさせよう． しかし， それを 好まないなら， 主は 生きておられる． わたしが 責任を 果たします． さあ， 朝まで 休みなさい． 」
  4. ルツ は， 夜が 明けるまで ボアズ の 足もとで 休んだ． ルツ はまだ 人の 見分けのつかない 暗いうちに 起きた． 麥打ち 場に 彼女の 來たことが 人に 知られてはならない， と ボアズ が 考えたからである．
  5. ボアズ は 言った． 「羽織ってきた 肩掛けを 出して， しっかりつかんでいなさい． 」 ルツ がしっかりとつかんだ 肩掛けの 中に 大麥を 六杯量って ルツ に 背負わせると， ボアズ は 町へ 戾って 行った．
  1. And when she came to her mother in law, she said, Who art thou, my daughter? And she told her all that the man had done to her.
  2. And she said, These six measures of barley gave he me; for he said to me, Go not empty unto thy mother in law.
  3. Then said she, Sit still, my daughter, until thou know how the matter will fall: for the man will not be in rest, until he have finished the thing this day.
  1. ルツ がしゅうとめのところへ 歸ると， ナオミ は， 「娘よ， どうでしたか 」と 尋ねた． ルツ は ボアズ がしてくれたことをもれなく 傳えてから，
  2. 「この 六杯の 大麥は， あなたのしゅうとめのところへ 手ぶらで 歸すわけにはいかないとおっしゃって， あの 方がくださったのです 」と 言うと，
  3. ナオミ は 言った． 「わたしの 娘よ， 成り 行きがはっきりするまでじっとしていなさい． あの 人は， 今日中に 決着がつかなければ， 落ち 着かないでしょう． 」
 
  룻과 보아스의 결혼(4:1-4:22)    
 
  1. Then went Boaz up to the gate, and sat him down there: and, behold, the kinsman of whom Boaz spake came by; unto whom he said, Ho, such a one! turn aside, sit down here. And he turned aside, and sat down.
  2. And he took ten men of the elders of the city, and said, Sit ye down here. And they sat down.
  3. And he said unto the kinsman, Naomi, that is come again out of the country of Moab, selleth a parcel of land, which was our brother Elimelech's:
  4. And I thought to advertise thee, saying, Buy it before the inhabitants, and before the elders of my people. If thou wilt redeem it, redeem it: but if thou wilt not redeem it, then tell me, that I may know: for there is none to redeem it beside thee; and I am after thee. And he said, I will redeem it.
  5. Then said Boaz, What day thou buyest the field of the hand of Naomi, thou must buy it also of Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance.
  1. ボアズ が 町の 門のところへ 上って 行って 座ると， 折よく， ボアズ が 話していた 當の 親戚の 人が 通り 過ぎようとした． 「引き 返してここにお 座りください 」と 言うと， その 人は 引き 返してきて 座った．
  2. ボアズ は 町の 長老のうちから 十人を 選び， ここに 座ってくださいと 賴んだので， 彼らも 座った．
  3. ボアズ はその 親戚の 人に 言った． 「モアブ の 野から 歸って 來た ナオミ が， わたしたちの 一族 エリメレク の 所有する 畑地を 手放そうとしています．
  4. それでわたしの 考えをお 耳に 入れたいと 思ったのです． もしあなたに 責任を 果たすおつもりがあるのでしたら， この 裁きの 座にいる 人¿と 民の 長老たちの 前で 買い 取ってください． もし 責任を 果たせないのでしたら， わたしにそう 言ってください． それならわたしが 考えます． 責任を 負っている 人はあなたのほかになく， わたしはその 次の 者ですから． 」「それではわたしがその 責任を 果たしましょう 」と 彼が 言うと，
  5. ボアズ は 續けた． 「あなたが ナオミ の 手から 畑地を 買い 取るときには， 亡くなった 息子の 妻である モアブ の 婦人 ルツ も 引き 取らなければなりません． 故人の 名をその 嗣業の 土地に 再興するためです． 」
  1. And the kinsman said, I cannot redeem it for myself, lest I mar mine own inheritance: redeem thou my right to thyself; for I cannot redeem it.
  2. Now this was the manner in former time in Israel concerning redeeming and concerning changing, for to confirm all things; a man plucked off his shoe, and gave it to his neighbour: and this was a testimony in Israel.
  3. Therefore the kinsman said unto Boaz, Buy it for thee. So he drew off his shoe.
  4. And Boaz said unto the elders, and unto all the people, Ye are witnesses this day, that I have bought all that was Elimelech's, and all that was Chilion's and Mahlon's, of the hand of Naomi.
  5. Moreover Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, have I purchased to be my wife, to raise up the name of the dead upon his inheritance, that the name of the dead be not cut off from among his brethren, and from the gate of his place: ye are witnesses this day.
  1. すると 親戚の 人は 言った． 「そこまで 責任を 負うことは， わたしにはできかねます． それではわたしの 嗣業を 損なうことになります． 親族としてわたしが 果たすべき 責任をあなたが 果たしてくださいませんか． そこまで 責任を 負うことは， わたしにはできかねます． 」
  2. かつて イスラエル では， 親族としての 責任の 履行や 讓渡にあたって， 一切の 手續きを 認證するためには， 當事者が 自分の 履物を 脫いで 相手に 渡すことになっていた． これが， イスラエル における 認證の 手續きであった．
  3. その 親戚の 人は， 「どうぞあなたがその 人をお 引き 取りください 」と ボアズ に 言って， 履物を 脫いだ．
  4. ボアズ はそこで， 長老とすべての 民に 言った． 「あなたがたは， 今日， わたしが エリメレク と キルヨン と マフロン の 遺産をことごとく ナオミ の 手から 買い 取ったことの 證人になったのです．
  5. また， わたしは マフロン の 妻であった モアブ の 婦人 ルツ も 引き 取って 妻とします． 故人の 名をその 嗣業の 土地に 再興するため， また 故人の 名が 一族や 鄕里の 門から 絶えてしまわないためです． あなたがたは， 今日， このことの 證人になったのです． 」
  1. And all the people that were in the gate, and the elders, said, We are witnesses. The LORD make the woman that is come into thine house like Rachel and like Leah, which two did build the house of Israel: and do thou worthily in Ephratah, and be famous in Bethlehem:
  2. And let thy house be like the house of Pharez, whom Tamar bare unto Judah, of the seed which the LORD shall give thee of this young woman.
  3. So Boaz took Ruth, and she was his wife: and when he went in unto her, the LORD gave her conception, and she bare a son.
  4. And the women said unto Naomi, Blessed be the LORD, which hath not left thee this day without a kinsman, that his name may be famous in Israel.
  5. And he shall be unto thee a restorer of thy life, and a nourisher of thine old age: for thy daughter in law, which loveth thee, which is better to thee than seven sons, hath born him.
  1. 門のところにいたすべての 民と 長老たちは 言った． 「そうです， わたしたちは 證人です． あなたが 家に 迎え 入れる 婦人を， どうか， 主が イスラエル の 家を 建てた ラケル と レア の 二人のようにしてくださるように． また， あなたが エフラタ で 富を 增し， ベツレヘム で 名をあげられるように．
  2. どうか， 主がこの 若い 婦人によってあなたに 子寶をお 與えになり， タマル が ユダ のために 産んだ ペレツ の 家のように， 御家庭が 惠まれるように． 」
  3. ボアズ はこうして ルツ をめとったので， ルツ は ボアズ の 妻となり， ボアズ は 彼女のところに 入った． 主が 身ごもらせたので， ルツ は 男の 子を 産んだ．
  4. 女たちは ナオミ に 言った． 「主をたたえよ． 主はあなたを 見捨てることなく， 家を 絶やさぬ 責任のある 人を 今日お 與えくださいました． どうか， イスラエル でその 子の 名があげられますように．
  5. その 子はあなたの 魂を 生き 返らせる 者となり， 老後の 支えとなるでしょう． あなたを 愛する 嫁， 七人の 息子にもまさるあの 嫁がその 子を 産んだのですから． 」
  1. And Naomi took the child, and laid it in her bosom, and became nurse unto it.
  2. And the women her neighbours gave it a name, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his name Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David.
  3. Now these are the generations of Pharez: Pharez begat Hezron,
  4. And Hezron begat Ram, and Ram begat Amminadab,
  5. And Amminadab begat Nahshon, and Nahshon begat Salmon,
  1. ナオミ はその 乳飮み 子をふところに 抱き 上げ， 養い 育てた．
  2. 近所の 婦人たちは， ナオミ に 子供が 生まれたと 言って， その 子に 名前を 付け， その 子を オベド と 名付けた． オベド は エッサイ の 父， エッサイ は ダビデ の 父である．
  3. ペレツ の 系圖は 次のとおりである． ペレツ には ヘツロン が 生まれた．
  4. ヘツロン には ラム が 生まれ， ラム には アミナダブ が 生まれた．
  5. アミナダブ には ナフション が 生まれ， ナフション には サルマ が 生まれた．
  1. And Salmon begat Boaz, and Boaz begat Obed,
  2. And Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David.
  1. サルマ には ボアズ が 生まれ， ボアズ には オベド が 生まれた．
  2. オベド には エッサイ が 生まれ， エッサイ には ダビデ が 生まれた．
