사도행전 26:1-26:32

 아그립바 앞에 선 바울은 다메섹에서의 회심 체험과 그리스도의 십자가와 부활, 그리고 이방 선교의 타당성에 대해 조리 있고 담대하게 설명하였다. 결국 아그립바와 베스도는 그에게 무죄를 선언하였다.
  
  아그립바 앞에서의 변론(26:1-26:23)    
 
  1. Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Thou art permitted to speak for thyself. Then Paul stretched forth the hand, and answered for himself:
  2. I think myself happy, king Agrippa, because I shall answer for myself this day before thee touching all the things whereof I am accused of the Jews:
  3. Especially because I know thee to be expert in all customs and questions which are among the Jews: wherefore I beseech thee to hear me patiently.
  4. My manner of life from my youth, which was at the first among mine own nation at Jerusalem, know all the Jews;
  5. Which knew me from the beginning, if they would testify, that after the most straitest sect of our religion I lived a Pharisee.
  1. アグリッパ は パウロ に， 「お 前は 自分のことを 話してよい 」と 言った． そこで， パウロ は 手を 差し 伸べて 弁明した．
  2. 「アグリッパ 王よ， 私が ユダヤ 人たちに 訴えられていることすべてについて， 今日， 王の 前で 弁明させていただけるのは 幸いであると 思います．
  3. 王は， ユダヤ 人の 慣習も 論爭点もみなよくご 存じだからです． それで， どうか 忍耐をもって， 私の 申すことを 聞いてくださるように， お 願いいたします．
  4. さて， 私の 若いころからの 生活が， 同胞の 間であれ， また エルサレム の 中であれ， 最初のころからどうであったかは， ユダヤ 人ならだれでも 知っています．
  5. 彼らは 以前から 私を 知っているのです． だから， 私たちの 宗敎の 中でいちばん 嚴格な 派である， ファリサイ 派の 一員として 私が 生活していたことを， 彼らは 證言しようと 思えば， 證言できるのです．
  1. And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of God, unto our fathers:
  2. Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.
  3. Why should it be thought a thing incredible with you, that God should raise the dead?
  4. I verily thought with myself, that I ought to do many things contrary to the name of Jesus of Nazareth.
  5. Which thing I also did in Jerusalem: and many of the saints did I shut up in prison, having received authority from the chief priests; and when they were put to death, I gave my voice against them.
  1. 今， 私がここに 立って 裁判を 受けているのは， 神が 私たちの 先祖にお 與えになった 約束の 實現に， 望みをかけているからです．
  2. 私たちの 十二部族は， 夜も ¿も 熱心に 神に 仕え， その 約束の 實現されることを 望んでいます． 王よ， 私はこの 希望を 抱いているために， ユダヤ 人から 訴えられているのです．
  3. 神が 死者を 復活させてくださるということを， あなたがたはなぜ 信じ 難いとお 考えになるのでしょうか．
  4. 實は 私自身も， あの ナザレ の 人 イエス の 名に 大いに 反對すべきだと 考えていました．
  5. そして， それを エルサレム で 實行に 移し， この 私が 祭司長たちから 權限を 受けて 多くの 聖なる 者たちを 牢に 入れ， 彼らが 死刑になるときは， 贊成の 意思表示をしたのです．
  1. And I punished them oft in every synagogue, and compelled them to blaspheme; and being exceedingly mad against them, I persecuted them even unto strange cities.
  2. Whereupon as I went to Damascus with authority and commission from the chief priests,
  3. At midday, O king, I saw in the way a light from heaven, above the brightness of the sun, shining round about me and them which journeyed with me.
  4. And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
  5. And I said, Who art thou, Lord? And he said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest.
  1. また， 至るところの 會堂で， しばしば 彼らを 罰して イエス を 冒瀆するように 强制し， 彼らに 對して 激しく 怒り 狂い， 外國の 町にまでも 迫害の 手を 伸ばしたのです． 」
  2. 「こうして， 私は 祭司長たちから 權限を 委任されて， ダマスコ へ 向かったのですが，
  3. その 途中， 眞¿のことです． 王よ， 私は 天からの 光を 見たのです． それは 太陽より 明るく 輝いて， 私とまた 同行していた 者との 周りを 照らしました．
  4. 私たちが 皆地に 倒れたとき， 『サウル ， サウル ， なぜ， わたしを 迫害するのか． とげの 付いた 棒をけると， ひどい 目に 遭う 』と， 私に ヘブライ 語で 語りかける 聲を 聞きました．
  5. 私が， 『主よ， あなたはどなたですか 』と 申しますと， 主は 言われました． 『わたしは， あなたが 迫害している イエス である．
  1. But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee;
  2. Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee,
  3. To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
  4. Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:
  5. But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.
  1. 起き 上がれ． 自分の 足で 立て． わたしがあなたに 現れたのは， あなたがわたしを 見たこと， そして， これからわたしが 示そうとすることについて， あなたを 奉仕者， また 證人にするためである．
  2. わたしは， あなたをこの 民と 異邦人の 中から 救い 出し， 彼らのもとに 遣わす．
  3. それは， 彼らの 目を 開いて， 闇から 光に， サタン の 支配から 神に 立ち 歸らせ， こうして 彼らがわたしへの 信仰によって， 罪の 赦しを 得， 聖なる 者とされた 人¿と 共に 惠みの 分け 前にあずかるようになるためである． 』」
  4. 「アグリッパ 王よ， こういう 次第で， 私は 天から 示されたことに 背かず，
  5. ダマスコ にいる 人¿を 初めとして， エルサレム の 人¿と ユダヤ 全土の 人¿， そして 異邦人に 對して， 悔い 改めて 神に 立ち 歸り， 悔い 改めにふさわしい 行いをするようにと 傳えました．
  1. For these causes the Jews caught me in the temple, and went about to kill me.
  2. Having therefore obtained help of God, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Moses did say should come:
  3. That Christ should suffer, and that he should be the first that should rise from the dead, and should shew light unto the people, and to the Gentiles.
  1. そのために ユダヤ 人たちは， 神殿の 境內にいた 私を 捕らえて 殺そうとしたのです．
  2. ところで， 私は 神からの 助けを 今日までいただいて， 固く 立ち， 小さな 者にも 大きな 者にも 證しをしてきましたが， 預言者たちや モ ― セ が 必ず 起こると 語ったこと 以外には， 何一つ 述べていません．
  3. つまり 私は， メシア が 苦しみを 受け， また， 死者の 中から 最初に 復活して， 民にも 異邦人にも 光を 語り 告げることになると 述べたのです． 」
 
  무죄 판결(26:24-26:32)    
 
  1. And as he thus spake for himself, Festus said with a loud voice, Paul, thou art beside thyself; much learning doth make thee mad.
  2. But he said, I am not mad, most noble Festus; but speak forth the words of truth and soberness.
  3. For the king knoweth of these things, before whom also I speak freely: for I am persuaded that none of these things are hidden from him; for this thing was not done in a corner.
  4. King Agrippa, believest thou the prophets? I know that thou believest.
  5. Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.
  1. パウロ がこう 弁明していると， フェストゥス は 大聲で 言った． 「パウロ ， お 前は 頭がおかしい． 學問のしすぎで， おかしくなったのだ． 」
  2. パウロ は 言った． 「フェストゥス 閣下， わたしは 頭がおかしいわけではありません． 眞實で 理にかなったことを 話しているのです．
  3. 王はこれらのことについてよくご 存じですので， はっきりと 申し 上げます． このことは， どこかの 片隅で 起こったのではありません． ですから， 一つとしてご 存じないものはないと， 確信しております．
  4. アグリッパ 王よ， 預言者たちを 信じておられますか． 信じておられることと 思います． 」
  5. アグリッパ は パウロ に 言った． 「短い 時間でわたしを 說き 伏せて， キリスト 信者にしてしまうつもりか． 」
  1. And Paul said, I would to God, that not only thou, but also all that hear me this day, were both almost, and altogether such as I am, except these bonds.
  2. And when he had thus spoken, the king rose up, and the governor, and Bernice, and they that sat with them:
  3. And when they were gone aside, they talked between themselves, saying, This man doeth nothing worthy of death or of bonds.
  4. Then said Agrippa unto Festus, This man might have been set at liberty, if he had not appealed unto Caesar.
  1. パウロ は 言った． 「短い 時間であろうと 長い 時間であろうと， 王ばかりでなく， 今日この 話を 聞いてくださるすべての 方が， 私のようになってくださることを 神に 祈ります． このように 鎖につながれることは 別ですが． 」
  2. そこで， 王が 立ち 上がり， 總督も ベルニケ や 陪席の 者も 立ち 上がった．
  3. 彼らは 退場してから， 「あの 男は， 死刑や 投獄に 當たるようなことは 何もしていない 」と 話し 合った．
  4. アグリッパ 王は フェストゥス に， 「あの 男は 皇帝に 上訴さえしていなければ， 釋放してもらえただろうに 」と 言った．
