- They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt;
- Wondrous works in the land of Ham, and terrible things by the Red sea.
- Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them.
- Yea, they despised the pleasant land, they believed not his word:
- But murmured in their tents, and hearkened not unto the voice of the LORD.

- 彼らは 自分たちを 救ってくださる 神を 忘れた． エジプト で 大いなる 御業を 行い
- ハム の 地で 驚くべき 御業を ／葦の 海で 恐るべき 御業を ／成し 遂げられた 方を 忘れた．
- 主は 彼らを 滅ぼすと 言われたが ／主に 選ばれた 人 モ ― セ は ／破れを 擔って 御前に 立ち ／彼らを 滅ぼそうとする 主の 怒りをなだめた．
- 彼らは 愛すべき 地を 拒み ／御言葉を 信じなかった．
- それぞれの 天幕でつぶやき ／主の 御聲に 聞き 從わなかった．
