- Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.

- あなたがたが， 何かにつけわたしを 思い 出し， わたしがあなたがたに 傳えたとおりに， 傳えられた 敎えを 守っているのは， 立派だと 思います．
- ここであなたがたに 知っておいてほしいのは， すべての 男の 頭は キリスト ， 女の 頭は 男， そして キリスト の 頭は 神であるということです．
- 男はだれでも 祈ったり， 預言したりする 際に， 頭に 物をかぶるなら， 自分の 頭を 侮辱することになります．
- 女はだれでも 祈ったり， 預言したりする 際に， 頭に 物をかぶらないなら， その 頭を 侮辱することになります． それは， 髮の 毛をそり 落としたのと 同じだからです．

- For if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.
- For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
- For the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man.
- Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
- For this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels.

- 女が 頭に 物をかぶらないなら， 髮の 毛を 切ってしまいなさい． 女にとって 髮の 毛を 切ったり， そり 落としたりするのが 恥ずかしいことなら， 頭に 物をかぶるべきです．
- 男は 神の 姿と 榮光を 映す 者ですから， 頭に 物をかぶるべきではありません． しかし， 女は 男の 榮光を 映す 者です．
- というのは， 男が 女から 出て 來たのではなく， 女が 男から 出て 來たのだし，
- 男が 女のために 造られたのではなく， 女が 男のために 造られたのだからです．
- だから， 女は 天使たちのために， 頭に 力の 印をかぶるべきです．

- Nevertheless neither is the man without the woman, neither the woman without the man, in the Lord.
- For as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God.
- Judge in yourselves: is it comely that a woman pray unto God uncovered?
- Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
- But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

- いずれにせよ， 主においては， 男なしに 女はなく， 女なしに 男はありません．
- それは 女が 男から 出たように， 男も 女から 生まれ， また， すべてのものが 神から 出ているからです．
- 自分で 判斷しなさい． 女が 頭に 何もかぶらないで 神に 祈るのが， ふさわしいかどうか．
- -15 男は 長い 髮が 恥であるのに 對し， 女は 長い 髮が 譽れとなることを， 自然そのものがあなたがたに 敎えていないでしょうか． 長い 髮は， かぶり 物の 代わりに 女に 與えられているのです．
