- For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
- For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven:
- If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked.
- For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life.
- Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit.

- わたしたちの 地上の 住みかである 幕屋が 滅びても， 神によって 建物が 備えられていることを， わたしたちは 知っています． 人の 手で 造られたものではない 天にある 永遠の 住みかです．
- わたしたちは， 天から 與えられる 住みかを 上に 着たいと 切に 願って， この 地上の 幕屋にあって 苦しみもだえています．
- それを 脫いでも， わたしたちは 裸のままではおりません．
- この 幕屋に 住むわたしたちは 重荷を 負ってうめいておりますが， それは， 地上の 住みかを 脫ぎ 捨てたいからではありません． 死ぬはずのものが 命に 飮み ¿まれてしまうために， 天から 與えられる 住みかを 上に 着たいからです．
- わたしたちを， このようになるのにふさわしい 者としてくださったのは， 神です． 神は， その 保證として “靈 ＂を 與えてくださったのです．

- Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:
- (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
- We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.
- Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him.
- For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

- それで， わたしたちはいつも 心强いのですが， 體を 住みかとしているかぎり， 主から 離れていることも 知っています．
- 目に 見えるものによらず， 信仰によって 步んでいるからです．
- わたしたちは， 心强い． そして， 體を 離れて， 主のもとに 住むことをむしろ 望んでいます．
- だから， 體を 住みかとしていても， 體を 離れているにしても， ひたすら 主に 喜ばれる 者でありたい．
- なぜなら， わたしたちは 皆， キリスト の 裁きの 座の 前に 立ち， 善であれ 惡であれ， めいめい 體を 住みかとしていたときに 行ったことに 應じて， 報いを 受けねばならないからです．
