- Grace be to you, and peace, from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
- According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:
- Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

- 神の 御心によって キリスト · イエス の 使徒とされた パウロ から， エフェソ にいる 聖なる 者たち， キリスト · イエス を 信ずる 人たちへ．
- わたしたちの 父である 神と 主 イエス · キリスト からの 惠みと 平和が， あなたがたにあるように．
- わたしたちの 主 イエス · キリスト の 父である 神は， ほめたたえられますように． 神は， わたしたちを キリスト において， 天のあらゆる 靈的な 祝福で 滿たしてくださいました．
- 天地創造の 前に， 神はわたしたちを 愛して， 御自分の 前で 聖なる 者， 汚れのない 者にしようと， キリスト においてお 選びになりました．
- イエス · キリスト によって 神の 子にしようと， 御心のままに 前もってお 定めになったのです．

- To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.
- In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
- Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence;
- Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:
- That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him:

- 神がその 愛する 御子によって 與えてくださった 輝かしい 惠みを， わたしたちがたたえるためです．
- わたしたちはこの 御子において， その 血によって ·われ， 罪を 赦されました． これは， 神の 豊かな 惠みによるものです．
- 神はこの 惠みをわたしたちの 上にあふれさせ， すべての 知惠と 理解とを 與えて，
- 秘められた 計畵をわたしたちに 知らせてくださいました． これは， 前もって キリスト においてお 決めになった 神の 御心によるものです．
- こうして， 時が 滿ちるに 及んで， 救いの 業が 完成され， あらゆるものが， 頭である キリスト のもとに 一つにまとめられます． 天にあるものも 地にあるものも キリスト のもとに 一つにまとめられるのです．

- In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
- That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.
- In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,
- Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
- Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,

- キリスト においてわたしたちは， 御心のままにすべてのことを 行われる 方の 御計畵によって 前もって 定められ， 約束されたものの 相續者とされました．
- それは， 以前から キリスト に 希望を 置いていたわたしたちが， 神の 榮光をたたえるためです．
- あなたがたもまた， キリスト において， 眞理の 言葉， 救いをもたらす 福音を 聞き， そして 信じて， 約束された 聖靈で 證印を 押されたのです．
- この 聖靈は， わたしたちが 御國を 受け 繼ぐための 保證であり， こうして， わたしたちは ·われて 神のものとなり， 神の 榮光をたたえることになるのです．
- こういうわけで， わたしも， あなたがたが 主 イエス を 信じ， すべての 聖なる 者たちを 愛していることを 聞き，

- Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;
- That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
- The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
- And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
- Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,

- 祈りの 度に， あなたがたのことを 思い 起こし， 絶えず 感謝しています．
- どうか， わたしたちの 主 イエス · キリスト の 神， 榮光の 源である 御父が， あなたがたに 知惠と 啓示との 靈を 與え， 神を 深く 知ることができるようにし，
- 心の 目を 開いてくださるように． そして， 神の 招きによってどのような 希望が 與えられているか， 聖なる 者たちの 受け 繼ぐものがどれほど 豊かな 榮光に 輝いているか 悟らせてくださるように．
- また， わたしたち 信仰者に 對して 絶大な ¿きをなさる 神の 力が， どれほど 大きなものであるか， 悟らせてくださるように．
- 神は， この 力を キリスト に ¿かせて， キリスト を 死者の 中から 復活させ， 天において 御自分の 右の 座に 着かせ，

- Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
- And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
- Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

- すべての 支配， 權威， 勢力， 主權の 上に 置き， 今の 世ばかりでなく， 來るべき 世にも 唱えられるあらゆる 名の 上に 置かれました．
- 神はまた， すべてのものを キリスト の 足もとに 從わせ， キリスト をすべてのものの 上にある 頭として 敎會にお 與えになりました．
- 敎會は キリスト の 體であり， すべてにおいてすべてを 滿たしている 方の 滿ちておられる 場です．
