- This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
- Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
- Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
- But ye have not so learned Christ;
- If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:

- そこで， わたしは 主によって 强く 勸めます． もはや， 異邦人と 同じように 步んではなりません． 彼らは 愚かな 考えに 從って 步み，
- 知性は 暗くなり， 彼らの 中にある 無知とその 心のかたくなさのために， 神の 命から 遠く 離れています．
- そして， 無感覺になって 放縱な 生活をし， あらゆるふしだらな 行いにふけってとどまるところを 知りません．
- しかし， あなたがたは， キリスト をこのように 學んだのではありません．
- キリスト について 聞き， キリスト に 結ばれて 敎えられ， 眞理が イエス の 內にあるとおりに 學んだはずです．

- That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
- And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
- And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
- Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.
- Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:

- だから， 以前のような 生き 方をして 情欲に 迷わされ， 滅びに 向かっている 古い 人を 脫ぎ 捨て，
- 心の 底から 新たにされて，
- 神にかたどって 造られた 新しい 人を 身に 着け， 眞理に 基づいた 正しく 淸い 生活を 送るようにしなければなりません．
- だから， 僞りを 捨て， それぞれ 隣人に 對して 眞實を 語りなさい． わたしたちは， 互いに 體の 一部なのです．
- 怒ることがあっても， 罪を 犯してはなりません． 日が 暮れるまで 怒ったままでいてはいけません．

- Neither give place to the devil.
- Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.
- Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.
- And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.
- Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

- 惡魔にすきを 與えてはなりません．
- 盜みを ¿いていた 者は， 今からは 盜んではいけません． むしろ， 勞苦して 自分の 手で 正當な 收入を 得， 困っている 人¿に 分け 與えるようにしなさい．
- 惡い 言葉を 一切口にしてはなりません． ただ， 聞く 人に 惠みが 與えられるように， その 人を 造り 上げるのに 役立つ 言葉を， 必要に 應じて 語りなさい．
- 神の 聖靈を 悲しませてはいけません． あなたがたは， 聖靈により， ·いの 日に 對して 保證されているのです．
- 無慈悲， 憤り， 怒り， わめき， そしりなどすべてを， 一切の 惡意と 一緖に 捨てなさい．

- And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
|
- 互いに 親切にし， 憐れみの 心で 接し， 神が キリスト によってあなたがたを 赦してくださったように， 赦し 合いなさい．
