- Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.
- Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.
- Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.
- For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD.
- But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death.

- さて， 子らよ， わたしに 聞き 從え． わたしの 道を 守る 者は， いかに 幸いなことか．
- 諭しに 聞き 從って 知惠を 得よ． なおざりにしてはならない．
- わたしに 聞き 從う 者， 日¿， わたしの 扉をうかがい ／戶口の 柱を 見守る 者は， いかに 幸いなことか．
- わたしを 見いだす 者は 命を 見いだし ／主に 喜び 迎えていただくことができる．
- わたしを 見失う 者は 魂をそこなう． わたしを 憎む 者は 死を 愛する 者． 」
