	에스겔 4:1-6:14 하나님께서는 에스겔의 상징적 행동을 통해 예루살렘에 임할 임박한 심판의 상황을 미리 보여 주셨다. 그것은 백성들의 죄로 인해 예루살렘이 바벨론 군대에 의해 포위당하고 그 성에 온역과 전쟁과 기근이 임하며 이스라엘 온 땅이 우상 숭배로 파멸된다는 것이었다. 그러나 포로로 잡혀간 백성들 중 남은 자는 회개할 것임을 말씀하셨다.

	예루살렘의 멸망을 상징하는 예언적 행동(4:1-5:17)

Thou also, son of man, take thee a tile, and lay it before thee, and pourtray upon it the city, even Jerusalem:

And lay siege against it, and build a fort against it, and cast a mount against it; set the camp also against it, and set battering rams against it round about.

Moreover take thou unto thee an iron pan, and set it for a wall of iron between thee and the city: and set thy face against it, and it shall be besieged, and thou shalt lay siege against it. This shall be a sign to the house of Israel.

Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it thou shalt bear their iniquity.

For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.

人の子よ，れんがを一つ取って目の前に置き，その上に都であるエルサレムを刻みなさい．

そして，これを包圍し，これに向かって堡壘を建て，壘を築き，陣營を敷き，破城槌を周圍に配備しなさい．

自ら鐵の板を取り，それを自分と都との間に鐵の壁とし，あなたの顔を都に向けなさい．こうして都は包圍される．あなたがそれを包圍するのだ．これはイスラエルの家に對するしるしである．

左脇を下にして橫たわり，イスラエルの家の罪を負いなさい．あなたは橫たわっている日の數だけ，彼らの罪を負わなければならない．

わたしは彼らの罪の年數を，日の數にして，三百九十日と定める．こうして，あなたはイスラエルの家の罪を負わねばならない．

And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.

Therefore thou shalt set thy face toward the siege of Jerusalem, and thine arm shall be uncovered, and thou shalt prophesy against it.

And, behold, I will lay bands upon thee, and thou shalt not turn thee from one side to another, till thou hast ended the days of thy siege.

Take thou also unto thee wheat, and barley, and beans, and lentiles, and millet, and fitches, and put them in one vessel, and make thee bread thereof, according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon thy side, three hundred and ninety days shalt thou eat thereof.

And thy meat which thou shalt eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels a day: from time to time shalt thou eat it.

その期間が終わったら，次に右脇を下にして橫たわり，ユダの家の罪を四十日間負わねばならない．各一年を一日として，それをあなたに課す．

あなたは包圍されたエルサレムに顔を向け，腕をまくり上げて，これに向かって預言しなさい．

わたしがあなたに ¿をかけるので，あなたはその包圍の日が終わるまで，一方の脇から他の脇へと寢返りを打つことができなくなる．

あなたは小麥，大麥，そら豆，ひら豆，きび，裸麥を取って，一つの器に入れ，パンを作りなさい．あなたが脇を下にして橫たわっている日數，つまり三百九十日間，それを食べなさい．

あなたの食べる食物の分量は一日につき二十シェケルで，それを一定の間隔をおいて食べなければならない．

Thou shalt drink also water by measure, the sixth part of an hin: from time to time shalt thou drink.

And thou shalt eat it as barley cakes, and thou shalt bake it with dung that cometh out of man, in their sight.

And the LORD said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their defiled bread among the Gentiles, whither I will drive them.

Then said I, Ah Lord GOD! behold, my soul hath not been polluted: for from my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which dieth of itself, or is torn in pieces; neither came there abominable flesh into my mouth.

Then he said unto me, Lo, I have given thee cow's dung for man's dung, and thou shalt prepare thy bread therewith.

あなたの飮む水の分量は六分の一ヒンで，それを一定の間隔をおいて飮まなければならない．

大麥のパン菓子のようにそれを食べなければならない．それを人¿の目の前で人糞で燒きなさい．

更に主は言われた．「このようにイスラエルの人¿はわたしが追いやる先の國¿で，汚れたパンを食べる．」

そこで，わたしは言った．「ああ，主なる神よ，わたしはわが身を汚したことがありません．若いころから今に至るまで，死んだ動物や，野¿が引き裂いた動物の肉を食べたことはなく，定められた日數を過ぎたいけにえの肉を口に入れたこともありません．」

主はわたしに言われた．「あなたが人糞の代わりに牛糞を用いることをわたしは許す．あなたはその上でパンを燒くがよい．」

Moreover he said unto me, Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem: and they shall eat bread by weight, and with care; and they shall drink water by measure, and with astonishment:

That they may want bread and water, and be astonied one with another, and consume away for their iniquity.

また，主はわたしに言われた．「人の子よ，わたしはエルサレムのパンをつるして蓄える棒を折る．彼らはおびえながらパンの目方を量って食べ，硬直した樣で水を升で量って飮むようになる．

彼らは罪のゆえにパンにも水にも事欠き，やせ衰えて，互いに恐れに取りつかれる．」

And thou, son of man, take thee a sharp knife, take thee a barber's razor, and cause it to pass upon thine head and upon thy beard: then take thee balances to weigh, and divide the hair.

Thou shalt burn with fire a third part in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled: and thou shalt take a third part, and smite about it with a knife: and a third part thou shalt scatter in the wind; and I will draw out a sword after them.

Thou shalt also take thereof a few in number, and bind them in thy skirts.

Then take of them again, and cast them into the midst of the fire, and burn them in the fire; for thereof shall a fire come forth into all the house of Israel.

Thus saith the Lord GOD; This is Jerusalem: I have set it in the midst of the nations and countries that are round about her.

人の子よ，あなたは銳い劍を取って理髮師のかみそりのようにそれを手に持ち，あなたの髮の毛とひげをそり，その毛を秤にかけて分けなさい．

その三分の一は包圍の期間が終わったときに都の中で火で燃やし，ほかの三分の一は都の周りで劍で打ち，殘り三分の一は風に乘せて散らしなさい．わたしは劍を拔いてその後を追う．

あなたはその中から毛を少し取って着物の ¿に包み，

更にその幾らかを取って火に投げ入れ，火で燃やしなさい．そこからまた火が出て，イスラエルの全家に及ぶであろう．

主なる神はこう言われる．「これはエルサレムのことである．わたしはこの都を國¿の中に置き，その周りを諸國が取り卷くようにした．

And she hath changed my judgments into wickedness more than the nations, and my statutes more than the countries that are round about her: for they have refused my judgments and my statutes, they have not walked in them.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye multiplied more than the nations that are round about you, and have not walked in my statutes, neither have kept my judgments, neither have done according to the judgments of the nations that are round about you;

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, am against thee, and will execute judgments in the midst of thee in the sight of the nations.

And I will do in thee that which I have not done, and whereunto I will not do any more the like, because of all thine abominations.

Therefore the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of thee, and the sons shall eat their fathers; and I will execute judgments in thee, and the whole remnant of thee will I scatter into all the winds.

しかし，この都はそれらの國¿よりも，いっそうわたしの裁きに逆らい，周りの諸國より激しくわたしの ¿に逆らった．まことに彼らはわたしの裁きを拒み，わたしの ¿に從って步もうとしなかった．」

それゆえ，主なる神はこう言われる．「お前たちが周りの國¿よりもいっそうかたくなで，わたしの ¿に從って步まず，わたしの裁きを行わず，周りの國¿で定められている裁きほどにも行わなかったので，

主なる神はこう言われる．わたしもお前に立ち向かい，國¿の目の前でお前の中で裁きを行う．

わたしがお前に對して行うことは，わたしが今まで行ったこともなければ，またこれから再び行うこともないようなことである．それはお前が行ったあらゆる忌まわしいことのゆえである．

それゆえ，お前の中で親がその子を食べ，子がその親を食べるようなことが起こる．わたしはお前に對して裁きを行い，殘っている者をすべてあらゆる方向に散らせてしまう．

Wherefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD; Surely, because thou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations, therefore will I also diminish thee; neither shall mine eye spare, neither will I have any pity.

A third part of thee shall die with the pestilence, and with famine shall they be consumed in the midst of thee: and a third part shall fall by the sword round about thee; and I will scatter a third part into all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them.

Thus shall mine anger be accomplished, and I will cause my fury to rest upon them, and I will be comforted: and they shall know that I the LORD have spoken it in my zeal, when I have accomplished my fury in them.

Moreover I will make thee waste, and a reproach among the nations that are round about thee, in the sight of all that pass by.

So it shall be a reproach and a taunt, an instruction and an astonishment unto the nations that are round about thee, when I shall execute judgments in thee in anger and in fury and in furious rebukes. I the LORD have spoken it.

それゆえ ――わたしは生きている，と主なる神は言われる ――お前はあらゆる憎むべきものと忌まわしいものをもってわたしの聖所を汚したので，わたしもまた必ずお前をそり落とす．わたしは憐れみの目をかけず，同情もしない．

お前の中で三分の一は疫病で死んだり，飢えで息絶えたりし，三分の一は都の周りで劍にかけられて倒れ，殘る三分の一は，わたしがあらゆる方向に散らし，劍を拔いてその後を追う．

わたしは彼らに向かって怒れるだけ怒り，憤りに身をまかせて，恨みを晴らす．そのとき，主であるわたしが憤れるだけ憤り，熱情をもって語ったということを彼らは知るようになる．

わたしはお前を廢虛とし，すべての旅人の目にも，周りの國¿にも，嘲りの的とする．

わたしが怒りと憤りと激しい懲らしめをもってお前を裁くとき，お前は周りの國¿の嘲りとそしりの的となり，敎訓となり脅威となる．主なるわたしがこれを告げる．

When I shall send upon them the evil arrows of famine, which shall be for their destruction, and which I will send to destroy you: and I will increase the famine upon you, and will break your staff of bread:

So will I send upon you famine and evil beasts, and they shall bereave thee: and pestilence and blood shall pass through thee; and I will bring the sword upon thee. I the LORD have spoken it.

わたしは滅びに定められた者に對して悲慘な飢えの矢を放つ．お前たちを滅ぼすためにそれを放つとき，わたしは飢えをますますひどくし，パンをつるして蓄える棒を折る．

わたしは飢えと狂暴な ¿をお前たちに送り ¿み，子供たちを奪わせる．疫病と流血はお前の中を通り拔ける．またわたしは劍をお前に臨ませる．主なるわたしがこれを告げる．」

	우상 숭배에 대한 심판(6:1-6:14)

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Son of man, set thy face toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them,

And say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys; Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high places.

And your altars shall be desolate, and your images shall be broken: and I will cast down your slain men before your idols.

And I will lay the dead carcases of the children of Israel before their idols; and I will scatter your bones round about your altars.

主の言葉がわたしに臨んだ．

「人の子よ，顔をイスラエルの山¿に向け，それに向かって預言して，

言え．イスラエルの山¿よ，主なる神の言葉を聞け．主なる神は，山と丘，川と谷に向かって，こう言われる．わたしは劍をお前たちに臨ませ，聖なる高台を破壞する．

祭壇は荒れ果て，香爐台は ¿かれる．また，わたしは，お前たちの中の殺された者を，偶像の前に投げ捨てる．

わたしはイスラエルの人¿の死體をその偶像の前に置き，お前たちの骨を祭壇の周りにまき散らす．

In all your dwellingplaces the cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be desolate; that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your images may be cut down, and your works may be abolished.

And the slain shall fall in the midst of you, and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

Yet will I leave a remnant, that ye may have some that shall escape the sword among the nations, when ye shall be scattered through the countries.

And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations.

And they shall know that I am the LORD, and that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.

お前たちの住む所はどこにおいても，町は廢虛とされ，聖なる高台は荒らされる．祭壇も廢虛とされて荒らされ，偶像は粉¿に ¿かれ，香爐台は打ち壞され，こうしてお前たちの作ったものは一掃される．

また，殺された者がお前たちの眞ん中に倒れる．そのとき，お前たちはわたしが主であることを知るようになる．

しかし，お前たちが諸國に散らされるとき，わたしはお前たちのために，劍を逃れた者を諸國民の間に殘しておく．

お前たちのうちで逃れた者は，捕囚として連れ去られる先の國¿でわたしを思い起こす．わたしを離れ去る姦淫の心と，偶像にひかれる姦淫の目をわたしが打ち ¿くからだ．そして彼らは自ら行った惡のゆえに，その忌まわしいすべてのことのゆえに，自分を嫌惡するようになる．

そして彼らは，わたしが主であり，理由もなくこの災いを彼らにくだすと告げたのではなかったことを知るようになる．

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Smite with thine hand, and stamp with thy foot, and say, Alas for all the evil abominations of the house of Israel! for they shall fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence.

He that is far off shall die of the pestilence; and he that is near shall fall by the sword; and he that remaineth and is besieged shall die by the famine: thus will I accomplish my fury upon them.

Then shall ye know that I am the LORD, when their slain men shall be among their idols round about their altars, upon every high hill, in all the tops of the mountains, and under every green tree, and under every thick oak, the place where they did offer sweet savour to all their idols.

So will I stretch out my hand upon them, and make the land desolate, yea, more desolate than the wilderness toward Diblath, in all their habitations: and they shall know that I am the LORD.

主なる神はこう言われる．手をたたき，足を踏み鳴らして，イスラエルの家の忌まわしいすべての惡事を嘆け．彼らは劍と，飢鴨と，疫病によって倒れるからだ．

遠くにいる者は疫病で死に，近くにいる者は劍で倒れる．それを免れ，生き殘る者も飢鴨で死ぬ．こうしてわたしは彼らに對して怒りを注ぎ盡くす．

殺された者たちが，祭壇の周りの偶像の間や，高い丘の上，山¿の頂で，またすべての綠豊かな木，すべての茂った ¿の木の下，あるいはかつて，あらゆる偶像に宥めの香りをささげた場所で倒れるとき，お前たちは，わたしが主であることを知るようになる．

わたしは彼らに向かって手を伸ばし，この地を荒廢させ，荒れ野からリブラに至るまで，彼らが住むすべての地を荒れ果てたところとする．そのとき，彼らは，わたしが主であることを知るようになる．」
