- Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
- By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
- And having an high priest over the house of God;
- Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
- Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

- それで， 兄弟たち， わたしたちは， イエス の 血によって 聖所に 入れると 確信しています．
- イエス は， 垂れ 幕， つまり， 御自分の 肉を 通って， 新しい 生きた 道をわたしたちのために 開いてくださったのです．
- 更に， わたしたちには 神の 家を 支配する 偉大な 祭司がおられるのですから，
- 心は 淸められて， 良心のとがめはなくなり， 體は 淸い 水で 洗われています． 信賴しきって， 眞心から 神に 近づこうではありませんか．
- 約束してくださったのは 眞實な 方なのですから， 公に 言い 表した 希望を ¿るがぬようしっかり 保ちましょう．

- And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works:
- Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
- For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
- But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.
- He that despised Moses' law died without mercy under two or three witnesses:

- 互いに 愛と 善行に 勵むように 心がけ，
- ある 人たちの 習慣に 倣って 集會を 怠ったりせず， むしろ 勵まし 合いましょう． かの 日が 近づいているのをあなたがたは 知っているのですから， ますます 勵まし 合おうではありませんか．
- もし， わたしたちが 眞理の 知識を 受けた 後にも， 故意に 罪を 犯し 續けるとすれば， 罪のためのいけにえは， もはや 殘っていません．
- ただ 殘っているのは， 審判と 敵對する 者たちを 燒き 盡くす 激しい 火とを， 恐れつつ 待つことだけです．
- モ ― セ の 律法を 破る 者は， 二， 三人の 證言に 基づいて， 情け 容赦なく 死刑に 處せられます．

- Of how much sorer punishment, suppose ye, shall he be thought worthy, who hath trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath counted the blood of the covenant, wherewith he was sanctified, an unholy thing, and hath done despite unto the Spirit of grace?
- For we know him that hath said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I will recompense, saith the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.
- It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
- But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions;
- Partly, whilst ye were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; and partly, whilst ye became companions of them that were so used.

- まして， 神の 子を 足げにし， 自分が 聖なる 者とされた 契約の 血を 汚れたものと 見なし， その 上， 惠みの 靈を 侮辱する 者は， どれほど 重い 刑罰に 値すると 思いますか．
- 「復讐はわたしのすること， ／わたしが 報復する 」と 言い， また， ／「主はその 民を 裁かれる 」と 言われた 方を， わたしたちは 知っています．
- 生ける 神の 手に 落ちるのは， 恐ろしいことです．
- あなたがたは， 光に 照らされた 後， 苦しい 大きな 戰いによく 耐えた 初めのころのことを， 思い 出してください．
- あざけられ， 苦しめられて， 見せ 物にされたこともあり， このような 目に 遭った 人たちの 仲間となったこともありました．

- For ye had compassion of me in my bonds, and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, knowing in yourselves that ye have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.
- Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
- For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
- For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.
- Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.

- 實際， 捕らえられた 人たちと 苦しみを 共にしたし， また， 自分がもっとすばらしい， いつまでも 殘るものを 持っていると 知っているので， 財産を 奪われても， 喜んで 耐え 忍んだのです．
- だから， 自分の 確信を 捨ててはいけません． この 確信には 大きな 報いがあります．
- 神の 御心を 行って 約束されたものを 受けるためには， 忍耐が 必要なのです．
- 「もう 少しすると， 來るべき 方がおいでになる． 遲れられることはない．
- わたしの 正しい 者は 信仰によって 生きる． もしひるむようなことがあれば， ／その 者はわたしの 心に 適わない． 」

- But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.
|
- しかし， わたしたちは， ひるんで 滅びる 者ではなく， 信仰によって 命を 確保する 者です．
