- Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man.
- I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy.
- Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son's name, if thou canst tell?
- Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him.

- ヤケ の 子 アグル の 言葉． 託宣． この 人は 言う， 神よ， わたしは 疲れた． 神よ， わたしは 疲れ 果てた．
- まことに， わたしはだれよりも 粗野で ／人間としての 分別もない．
- 知惠を 敎えられたこともなく ／聖なる 方を 知ることもできない．
- 天に 昇り， また 降った 者は 誰か． その 手の 內に 風を 集め ／その 衣に 水を 包むものは 誰か． 地の 果てを 定めたものは 誰か． その 名は 何というのか． その 子の 名は 何というのか． あなたは 知っているのか．
- 神の 言われることはすべて 淸い． 身を 寄せればそれは 盾となる．

- Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
- Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die:
- Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me:
- Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain.

- 御言葉に 付け 加えようとするな． 責められて ／僞る 者と 斷罪されることのないように．
- 二つのことをあなたに 願います． わたしが 死ぬまで， それを 拒まないでください．
- むなしいもの， 僞りの 言葉を ／わたしから 遠ざけてください． 貧しくもせず， 金持ちにもせず ／わたしのために 定められた パン で ／わたしを 養ってください．
- 飽き 足りれば， 裏切り ／主など 何者か， と 言うおそれがあります． 貧しければ， 盜みを ¿き ／わたしの 神の 御名を 汚しかねません．
