- For all this they sinned still, and believed not for his wondrous works.
- Therefore their days did he consume in vanity, and their years in trouble.
- When he slew them, then they sought him: and they returned and enquired early after God.
- And they remembered that God was their rock, and the high God their redeemer.
- Nevertheless they did flatter him with their mouth, and they lied unto him with their tongues.

- 이러함에도 그들은 여전히 범죄하여 그의 기이한 일들을 믿지 아니하였으므로
- 하나님이 그들의 날들을 헛되이 보내게 하시며 그들의 햇수를 두려움으로 보내게 하셨도다
- 하나님이 그들을 죽이실 때에 그들이 그에게 구하며 돌이켜 하나님을 간절히 찾았고
- 하나님이 그들의 반석이시며 지존하신 하나님이 그들의 구속자이심을 기억하였도다
- 그러나 그들이 입으로 그에게 아첨하며 자기 혀로 그에게 거짓을 말하였으니

- For their heart was not right with him, neither were they stedfast in his covenant.
- But he, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, and destroyed them not: yea, many a time turned he his anger away, and did not stir up all his wrath.
- For he remembered that they were but flesh; a wind that passeth away, and cometh not again.
- How oft did they provoke him in the wilderness, and grieve him in the desert!
- Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel.

- 이는 하나님께 향하는 그들의 마음이 정함이 없으며 그의 언약에 성실하지 아니하였음이로다
- 오직 하나님은 긍휼하시므로 죄악을 덮어 주시어 멸망시키지 아니하시고 그의 진노를 여러 번 돌이키시며 그의 모든 분을 다 쏟아 내지 아니하셨으니
- 그들은 육체이며 가고 다시 돌아오지 못하는 바람임을 기억하셨음이라
- 그들이 광야에서 그에게 반항하며 사막에서 그를 슬프시게 함이 몇 번인가
- 그들이 돌이켜 하나님을 거듭거듭 시험하며 이스라엘의 거룩하신 이를 노엽게 하였도다
