욥기 10:1-12:25

 욥의 계속되는 한탄 가운데 나아마 사람 소발이 욥의 변명에 대해 공격하였다. 그는 하나님의 전능성을 내세워 하나님 앞에서 깨끗하다는 욥의 고백을 비난하면서 욥이 회개하면 용서를 받지만, 그렇지 않으면 무서운 결과가 올 것이라고 충고하였다. 이에 대하여 욥은 자신이 친구들의 조롱거리가 되었고 자신도 지혜와 명철이 하나님께 속한 것임을 알고 있다고 말하면서 그의 억울함을 호소하였다.
  
  욥의 기도(10:1-10:22)    
 
  1. My soul is weary of my life; I will leave my complaint upon myself; I will speak in the bitterness of my soul.
  2. I will say unto God, Do not condemn me; shew me wherefore thou contendest with me.
  3. Is it good unto thee that thou shouldest oppress, that thou shouldest despise the work of thine hands, and shine upon the counsel of the wicked?
  4. Hast thou eyes of flesh? or seest thou as man seeth?
  5. Are thy days as the days of man? are thy years as man's days,
  1. 내 영혼이 살기에 곤비하니 내 불평을 토로하고 내 마음이 괴로운 대로 말하리라
  2. 내가 하나님께 아뢰오리니 나를 정죄하지 마시옵고 무슨 까닭으로 나와 더불어 변론하시는지 내게 알게 하옵소서
  3. 주께서 주의 손으로 지으신 것을 학대하시며 멸시하시고 악인의 꾀에 빛을 비추시기를 선히 여기시나이까
  4. 주께도 육신의 눈이 있나이까 주께서 사람처럼 보시나이까
  5. 주의 날이 어찌 사람의 날과 같으며 주의 해가 어찌 인생의 해와 같기로
  1. That thou enquirest after mine iniquity, and searchest after my sin?
  2. Thou knowest that I am not wicked; and there is none that can deliver out of thine hand.
  3. Thine hands have made me and fashioned me together round about; yet thou dost destroy me.
  4. Remember, I beseech thee, that thou hast made me as the clay; and wilt thou bring me into dust again?
  5. Hast thou not poured me out as milk, and curdled me like cheese?
  1. 나의 허물을 찾으시며 나의 죄를 들추어내시나이까
  2. 주께서는 내가 악하지 않은 줄을 아시나이다 주의 손에서 나를 벗어나게 할 자도 없나이다
  3. 주의 손으로 나를 빚으셨으며 만드셨는데 이제 나를 멸하시나이다
  4. 기억하옵소서 주께서 내 몸 지으시기를 흙을 뭉치듯 하셨거늘 다시 나를 티끌로 돌려보내려 하시나이까
  5. 주께서 나를 젖과 같이 쏟으셨으며 엉긴 젖처럼 엉기게 하지 아니하셨나이까
  1. Thou hast clothed me with skin and flesh, and hast fenced me with bones and sinews.
  2. Thou hast granted me life and favour, and thy visitation hath preserved my spirit.
  3. And these things hast thou hid in thine heart: I know that this is with thee.
  4. If I sin, then thou markest me, and thou wilt not acquit me from mine iniquity.
  5. If I be wicked, woe unto me; and if I be righteous, yet will I not lift up my head. I am full of confusion; therefore see thou mine affliction;
  1. 피부와 살을 내게 입히시며 뼈와 힘줄로 나를 엮으시고
  2. 생명과 은혜를 내게 주시고 나를 보살피심으로 내 영을 지키셨나이다
  3. 그러한데 주께서 이것들을 마음에 품으셨나이다 이 뜻이 주께 있는 줄을 내가 아나이다
  4. 내가 범죄하면 주께서 나를 죄인으로 인정하시고 내 죄악을 사하지 아니하시나이다
  5. 내가 악하면 화가 있을 것이오며 내가 의로울지라도 머리를 들지 못하는 것은 내 속에 부끄러움이 가득하고 내 환난을 내 눈이 보기 때문이니이다
  1. For it increaseth. Thou huntest me as a fierce lion: and again thou shewest thyself marvellous upon me.
  2. Thou renewest thy witnesses against me, and increasest thine indignation upon me; changes and war are against me.
  3. Wherefore then hast thou brought me forth out of the womb? Oh that I had given up the ghost, and no eye had seen me!
  4. I should have been as though I had not been; I should have been carried from the womb to the grave.
  5. Are not my days few? cease then, and let me alone, that I may take comfort a little,
  1. 내가 머리를 높이 들면 주께서 젊은 사자처럼 나를 사냥하시며 내게 주의 놀라움을 다시 나타내시나이다
  2. 주께서 자주자주 증거하는 자를 바꾸어 나를 치시며 나를 향하여 진노를 더하시니 군대가 번갈아서 치는 것 같으니이다
  3. 주께서 나를 태에서 나오게 하셨음은 어찌함이니이까 그렇지 아니하셨더라면 내가 기운이 끊어져 아무 눈에도 보이지 아니하였을 것이라
  4. 있어도 없던 것 같이 되어서 태에서 바로 무덤으로 옮겨졌으리이다
  5. 내 날은 적지 아니하니이까 그런즉 그치시고 나를 버려두사 잠시나마 평안하게 하시되
  1. Before I go whence I shall not return, even to the land of darkness and the shadow of death;
  2. A land of darkness, as darkness itself; and of the shadow of death, without any order, and where the light is as darkness.
  1. 내가 돌아오지 못할 땅 곧 어둡고 죽음의 그늘진 땅으로 가기 전에 그리하옵소서
  2. 땅은 어두워서 흑암 같고 죽음의 그늘이 져서 아무 구별이 없고 광명도 흑암 같으니이다
 
  소발의 첫번째 충고(11:1-11:20)    
 
  1. Then answered Zophar the Naamathite, and said,
  2. Should not the multitude of words be answered? and should a man full of talk be justified?
  3. Should thy lies make men hold their peace? and when thou mockest, shall no man make thee ashamed?
  4. For thou hast said, My doctrine is pure, and I am clean in thine eyes.
  5. But oh that God would speak, and open his lips against thee;
  1. 나아마 사람 소발이 대답하여 이르되
  2. 말이 많으니 어찌 대답이 없으랴 말이 많은 사람이 어찌 의롭다 함을 얻겠느냐
  3. 네 자랑하는 말이 어떻게 사람으로 잠잠하게 하겠으며 네가 비웃으면 어찌 너를 부끄럽게 할 사람이 없겠느냐
  4. 네 말에 의하면 내 도는 정결하고 나는 주께서 보시기에 깨끗하다 하는구나
  5. 하나님은 말씀을 내시며 너를 향하여 입을 여시고
  1. And that he would shew thee the secrets of wisdom, that they are double to that which is! Know therefore that God exacteth of thee less than thine iniquity deserveth.
  2. Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection?
  3. It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know?
  4. The measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea.
  5. If he cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then who can hinder him?
  1. 지혜의 오묘함으로 네게 보이시기를 원하노니 이는 그의 지식이 광대하심이라 하나님께서 너로 하여금 너의 죄를 잊게 하여 주셨음을 알라
  2. 네가 하나님의 오묘함을 어찌 능히 측량하며 전능자를 어찌 능히 완전히 알겠느냐
  3. 하늘보다 높으시니 네가 무엇을 하겠으며 스올보다 깊으시니 네가 어찌 알겠느냐
  4. 그의 크심은 땅보다 길고 바다보다 넓으니라
  5. 하나님이 두루 다니시며 사람을 잡아 가두시고 재판을 여시면 누가 능히 막을소냐
  1. For he knoweth vain men: he seeth wickedness also; will he not then consider it?
  2. For vain men would be wise, though man be born like a wild ass's colt.
  3. If thou prepare thine heart, and stretch out thine hands toward him;
  4. If iniquity be in thine hand, put it far away, and let not wickedness dwell in thy tabernacles.
  5. For then shalt thou lift up thy face without spot; yea, thou shalt be stedfast, and shalt not fear:
  1. 하나님은 허망한 사람을 아시나니 악한 일은 상관하지 않으시는 듯하나 다 보시느니라
  2. 허망한 사람은 지각이 없나니 그의 출생함이 들나귀 새끼 같으니라
  3. 만일 네가 마음을 바로 정하고 주를 향하여 손을 들 때에
  4. 네 손에 죄악이 있거든 멀리 버리라 불의가 네 장막에 있지 못하게 하라
  5. 그리하면 네가 반드시 흠 없는 얼굴을 들게 되고 굳게 서서 두려움이 없으리니
  1. Because thou shalt forget thy misery, and remember it as waters that pass away:
  2. And thine age shall be clearer than the noonday: thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning.
  3. And thou shalt be secure, because there is hope; yea, thou shalt dig about thee, and thou shalt take thy rest in safety.
  4. Also thou shalt lie down, and none shall make thee afraid; yea, many shall make suit unto thee.
  5. But the eyes of the wicked shall fail, and they shall not escape, and their hope shall be as the giving up of the ghost.
  1. 곧 네 환난을 잊을 것이라 네가 기억할지라도 물이 흘러감 같을 것이며
  2. 네 생명의 날이 대낮보다 밝으리니 어둠이 있다 할지라도 아침과 같이 될 것이요
  3. 네가 희망이 있으므로 안전할 것이며 두루 살펴보고 평안히 쉬리라
  4. 네가 누워도 두렵게 할 자가 없겠고 많은 사람이 네게 은혜를 구하리라
  5. 그러나 악한 자들은 눈이 어두워서 도망할 곳을 찾지 못하리니 그들의 희망은 숨을 거두는 것이니라
 
  욥의 답변(12:1-12:25)    
 
  1. And Job answered and said,
  2. No doubt but ye are the people, and wisdom shall die with you.
  3. But I have understanding as well as you; I am not inferior to you: yea, who knoweth not such things as these?
  4. I am as one mocked of his neighbour, who calleth upon God, and he answereth him: the just upright man is laughed to scorn.
  5. He that is ready to slip with his feet is as a lamp despised in the thought of him that is at ease.
  1. 욥이 대답하여 이르되
  2. 너희만 참으로 백성이로구나 너희가 죽으면 지혜도 죽겠구나
  3. 나도 너희 같이 생각이 있어 너희만 못하지 아니하니 그같은 일을 누가 알지 못하겠느냐
  4. 하나님께 불러 아뢰어 들으심을 입은 내가 이웃에게 웃음거리가 되었으니 의롭고 온전한 자가 조롱거리가 되었구나
  5. 평안한 자의 마음은 재앙을 멸시하나 재앙이 실족하는 자를 기다리는구나
  1. The tabernacles of robbers prosper, and they that provoke God are secure; into whose hand God bringeth abundantly.
  2. But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee:
  3. Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee.
  4. Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the LORD hath wrought this?
  5. In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of all mankind.
  1. 강도의 장막은 형통하고 하나님을 진노하게 하는 자는 평안하니 하나님이 그의 손에 후히 주심이니라
  2. 이제 모든 짐승에게 물어 보라 그것들이 네게 가르치리라 공중의 새에게 물어 보라 그것들이 또한 네게 말하리라
  3. 땅에게 말하라 네게 가르치리라 바다의 고기도 네게 설명하리라
  4. 이것들 중에 어느 것이 여호와의 손이 이를 행하신 줄을 알지 못하랴
  5. 모든 생물의 생명과 모든 사람의 육신의 목숨이 다 그의 손에 있느니라
  1. Doth not the ear try words? and the mouth taste his meat?
  2. With the ancient is wisdom; and in length of days understanding.
  3. With him is wisdom and strength, he hath counsel and understanding.
  4. Behold, he breaketh down, and it cannot be built again: he shutteth up a man, and there can be no opening.
  5. Behold, he withholdeth the waters, and they dry up: also he sendeth them out, and they overturn the earth.
  1. 입이 음식의 맛을 구별함 같이 귀가 말을 분간하지 아니하느냐
  2. 늙은 자에게는 지혜가 있고 장수하는 자에게는 명철이 있느니라
  3. 지혜와 권능이 하나님께 있고 계략과 명철도 그에게 속하였나니
  4. 그가 헐으신즉 다시 세울 수 없고 사람을 가두신즉 놓아주지 못하느니라
  5. 그가 물을 막으신즉 곧 마르고 물을 보내신즉 곧 땅을 뒤집나니
  1. With him is strength and wisdom: the deceived and the deceiver are his.
  2. He leadeth counsellors away spoiled, and maketh the judges fools.
  3. He looseth the bond of kings, and girdeth their loins with a girdle.
  4. He leadeth princes away spoiled, and overthroweth the mighty.
  5. He removeth away the speech of the trusty, and taketh away the understanding of the aged.
  1. 능력과 지혜가 그에게 있고 속은 자와 속이는 자가 다 그에게 속하였으므로
  2. 모사를 벌거벗겨 끌어 가시며 재판장을 어리석은 자가 되게 하시며
  3. 왕들이 맨 것을 풀어 그들의 허리를 동이시며
  4. 제사장들을 벌거벗겨 끌어 가시고 권력이 있는 자를 넘어뜨리시며
  5. 충성된 사람들의 말을 물리치시며 늙은 자들의 판단을 빼앗으시며
  1. He poureth contempt upon princes, and weakeneth the strength of the mighty.
  2. He discovereth deep things out of darkness, and bringeth out to light the shadow of death.
  3. He increaseth the nations, and destroyeth them: he enlargeth the nations, and straiteneth them again.
  4. He taketh away the heart of the chief of the people of the earth, and causeth them to wander in a wilderness where there is no way.
  5. They grope in the dark without light, and he maketh them to stagger like a drunken man.
  1. 귀인들에게 멸시를 쏟으시며 강한 자의 띠를 푸시며
  2. 어두운 가운데에서 은밀한 것을 드러내시며 죽음의 그늘을 광명한 데로 나오게 하시며
  3. 민족들을 커지게도 하시고 다시 멸하기도 하시며 민족들을 널리 퍼지게도 하시고 다시 끌려가게도 하시며
  4. 만민의 우두머리들의 총명을 빼앗으시고 그들을 길 없는 거친 들에서 방황하게 하시며
  5. 빛 없이 캄캄한 데를 더듬게 하시며 취한 사람 같이 비틀거리게 하시느니라
