	에스겔 24:1-26:21 하나님께서는 끓는 가마의 비유와 에스겔이 아내의 죽음을 애통해 하지 못하게 하는 표징을 통해 임박한 예루살렘의 멸망에 대해 예고하셨다. 또한 이스라엘 주변의 이방 민족인 암몬, 모압, 에돔, 블레셋, 두로의 멸망을 선포하셨으며, 그 원인은 그들이 이스라엘을 멸시하고 침공했으며 이스라엘의 멸망을 기뻐하고 조롱했기 때문이라고 하셨다.

	끓는 가마 비유(24:1-24:14)

Again in the ninth year, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Son of man, write thee the name of the day, even of this same day: the king of Babylon set himself against Jerusalem this same day.

And utter a parable unto the rebellious house, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Set on a pot, set it on, and also pour water into it:

Gather the pieces thereof into it, even every good piece, the thigh, and the shoulder; fill it with the choice bones.

Take the choice of the flock, and burn also the bones under it, and make it boil well, and let them seethe the bones of it therein.

아홉째 해 열째 달 열째 날에 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하여 이르시되

인자야 너는 날짜 곧 오늘의 이름을 기록하라 바벨론 왕이 오늘 예루살렘에 가까이 왔느니라

너는 이 반역하는 족속에게 비유를 베풀어 이르기를 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하시기를 가마 하나를 걸라

건 후에 물을 붓고 양 떼에서 한 마리를 골라 각을 뜨고 그 넓적다리와 어깨 고기의 모든 좋은 덩이를 그 가운데에 모아 넣으며 고른 뼈를 가득히 담고 그 뼈를 위하여 가마 밑에 나무를 쌓아 넣고 잘 삶되 가마 속의 뼈가 무르도록 삶을지어다

Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city, to the pot whose scum is therein, and whose scum is not gone out of it! bring it out piece by piece; let no lot fall upon it.

For her blood is in the midst of her; she set it upon the top of a rock; she poured it not upon the ground, to cover it with dust;

That it might cause fury to come up to take vengeance; I have set her blood upon the top of a rock, that it should not be covered.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Woe to the bloody city! I will even make the pile for fire great.

Heap on wood, kindle the fire, consume the flesh, and spice it well, and let the bones be burned.

그러므로 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 피를 흘린 성읍, 녹슨 가마 곧 그 속의 녹을 없이하지 아니한 가마여 화 있을진저 제비 뽑을 것도 없이 그 덩이를 하나하나 꺼낼지어다

그 피가 그 가운데에 있음이여 피를 땅에 쏟아 티끌이 덮이게 하지 않고 맨 바위 위에 두었도다

내가 그 피를 맨 바위 위에 두고 덮이지 아니하게 함은 분노를 나타내어 보응하려 함이로라

그러므로 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 화 있을진저 피를 흘린 성읍이여 내가 또 나무 무더기를 크게 하리라

나무를 많이 쌓고 불을 피워 그 고기를 삶아 녹이고 국물을 졸이고 그 뼈를 태우고

Then set it empty upon the coals thereof, that the brass of it may be hot, and may burn, and that the filthiness of it may be molten in it, that the scum of it may be consumed.

She hath wearied herself with lies, and her great scum went not forth out of her: her scum shall be in the fire.

In thy filthiness is lewdness: because I have purged thee, and thou wast not purged, thou shalt not be purged from thy filthiness any more, till I have caused my fury to rest upon thee.

I the LORD have spoken it: it shall come to pass, and I will do it; I will not go back, neither will I spare, neither will I repent; according to thy ways, and according to thy doings, shall they judge thee, saith the Lord GOD.

가마가 빈 후에는 숯불 위에 놓아 뜨겁게 하며 그 가마의 놋을 달궈서 그 속에 더러운 것을 녹게 하며 녹이 소멸되게 하라

이 성읍이 수고하므로 스스로 피곤하나 많은 녹이 그 속에서 벗겨지지 아니하며 불에서도 없어지지 아니하는도다

너의 더러운 것들 중에 음란이 그 하나이니라 내가 너를 깨끗하게 하나 네가 깨끗하여지지 아니하니 내가 네게 향한 분노를 풀기 전에는 네 더러움이 다시 깨끗하여지지 아니하리라

나 여호와가 말하였은즉 그 일이 이루어질지라 내가 돌이키지도 아니하고 아끼지도 아니하며 뉘우치지도 아니하고 행하리니 그들이 네 모든 행위대로 너를 재판하리라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라

	멸망 예언(24:15-24:27)

Also the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Son of man, behold, I take away from thee the desire of thine eyes with a stroke: yet neither shalt thou mourn nor weep, neither shall thy tears run down.

Forbear to cry, make no mourning for the dead, bind the tire of thine head upon thee, and put on thy shoes upon thy feet, and cover not thy lips, and eat not the bread of men.

So I spake unto the people in the morning: and at even my wife died; and I did in the morning as I was commanded.

And the people said unto me, Wilt thou not tell us what these things are to us, that thou doest so?

여호와의 말씀이 또 내게 임하여 이르시되

인자야 내가 네 눈에 기뻐하는 것을 한 번 쳐서 빼앗으리니 너는 슬퍼하거나 울거나 눈물을 흘리거나 하지 말며

죽은 자들을 위하여 슬퍼하지 말고 조용히 탄식하며 수건으로 머리를 동이고 발에 신을 신고 입술을 가리지 말고 사람이 초상집에서 먹는 음식물을 먹지 말라 하신지라

내가 아침에 백성에게 말하였더니 저녁에 내 아내가 죽었으므로 아침에 내가 받은 명령대로 행하매

백성이 내게 이르되 네가 행하는 이 일이 우리와 무슨 상관이 있는지 너는 우리에게 말하지 아니하겠느냐 하므로

Then I answered them, The word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Speak unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the excellency of your strength, the desire of your eyes, and that which your soul pitieth; and your sons and your daughters whom ye have left shall fall by the sword.

And ye shall do as I have done: ye shall not cover your lips, nor eat the bread of men.

And your tires shall be upon your heads, and your shoes upon your feet: ye shall not mourn nor weep; but ye shall pine away for your iniquities, and mourn one toward another.

Thus Ezekiel is unto you a sign: according to all that he hath done shall ye do: and when this cometh, ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.

내가 그들에게 대답하기를 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하여 이르시되

너는 이스라엘 족속에게 이르기를 주 여호와의 말씀에 내 성소는 너희 세력의 영광이요 너희 눈의 기쁨이요 너희 마음에 아낌이 되거니와 내가 더럽힐 것이며 너희의 버려 둔 자녀를 칼에 엎드러지게 할지라

너희가 에스겔이 행한 바와 같이 행하여 입술을 가리지 아니하며 사람의 음식물을 먹지 아니하며

수건으로 머리를 동인 채, 발에 신을 신은 채로 두고 슬퍼하지도 아니하며 울지도 아니하되 죄악 중에 패망하여 피차 바라보고 탄식하리라

이같이 에스겔이 너희에게 표징이 되리니 그가 행한 대로 너희가 다 행할지라 이 일이 이루어지면 내가 주 여호와인 줄을 너희가 알리라 하라 하셨느니라

Also, thou son of man, shall it not be in the day when I take from them their strength, the joy of their glory, the desire of their eyes, and that whereupon they set their minds, their sons and their daughters,

That he that escapeth in that day shall come unto thee, to cause thee to hear it with thine ears?

In that day shall thy mouth be opened to him which is escaped, and thou shalt speak, and be no more dumb: and thou shalt be a sign unto them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

인자야 내가 그 힘과 그 즐거워하는 영광과 그 눈이 기뻐하는 것과 그 마음이 간절하게 생각하는 자녀를 데려가는 날

곧 그 날에 도피한 자가 네게 나와서 네 귀에 그 일을 들려 주지 아니하겠느냐

그 날에 네 입이 열려서 도피한 자에게 말하고 다시는 잠잠하지 아니하리라 이같이 너는 그들에게 표징이 되고 그들은 내가 여호와인 줄 알리라

	열방에 대한 심판 예언(25:1-26:21)

The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying,

Son of man, set thy face against the Ammonites, and prophesy against them;

And say unto the Ammonites, Hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou saidst, Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against the land of Israel, when it was desolate; and against the house of Judah, when they went into captivity;

Behold, therefore I will deliver thee to the men of the east for a possession, and they shall set their palaces in thee, and make their dwellings in thee: they shall eat thy fruit, and they shall drink thy milk.

And I will make Rabbah a stable for camels, and the Ammonites a couching place for flocks: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

여호와의 말씀이 또 내게 임하여 이르시되

인자야 네 얼굴을 암몬 족속에게 돌리고 그들에게 예언하라

너는 암몬 족속에게 이르기를 너희는 주 여호와의 말씀을 들을지어다 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 내 성소가 더럽힘을 받을 때에 네가 그것에 관하여, 이스라엘 땅이 황폐할 때에 네가 그것에 관하여, 유다 족속이 사로잡힐 때에 네가 그들에 대하여 이르기를 아하 좋다 하였도다

그러므로 내가 너를 동방 사람에게 기업으로 넘겨 주리니 그들이 네 가운데에 진을 치며 네 가운데에 그 거처를 베풀며 네 열매를 먹으며 네 젖을 마실지라

내가 랍바를 낙타의 우리로 만들며 암몬 족속의 땅을 양 떼가 눕는 곳으로 삼은즉 내가 주 여호와인 줄을 너희가 알리라

For thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast clapped thine hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced in heart with all thy despite against the land of Israel;

Behold, therefore I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and will deliver thee for a spoil to the heathen; and I will cut thee off from the people, and I will cause thee to perish out of the countries: I will destroy thee; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because that Moab and Seir do say, Behold, the house of Judah is like unto all the heathen;

Therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities which are on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Bethjeshimoth, Baalmeon, and Kiriathaim,

Unto the men of the east with the Ammonites, and will give them in possession, that the Ammonites may not be remembered among the nations.

주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 네가 이스라엘 땅에 대하여 손뼉을 치며 발을 구르며 마음을 다하여 멸시하며 즐거워하였나니

그런즉 내가 손을 네 위에 펴서 너를 다른 민족에게 넘겨 주어 노략을 당하게 하며 너를 만민 중에서 끊어 버리며 너를 여러 나라 가운데에서 패망하게 하여 멸하리니 내가 주 여호와인 줄을 너희가 알리라 하셨다 하라

주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 모압과 세일이 이르기를 유다 족속은 모든 이방과 다름이 없다 하도다

그러므로 내가 모압의 한편 곧 그 나라 국경에 있는 영화로운 성읍들 벧여시못과 바알므온과 기랴다임을 열고

암몬 족속과 더불어 동방 사람에게 넘겨 주어 기업을 삼게 할 것이라 암몬 족속이 다시는 이방 가운데에서 기억되지 아니하게 하려니와

And I will execute judgments upon Moab; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because that Edom hath dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and hath greatly offended, and revenged himself upon them;

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I will also stretch out mine hand upon Edom, and will cut off man and beast from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman; and they of Dedan shall fall by the sword.

And I will lay my vengeance upon Edom by the hand of my people Israel: and they shall do in Edom according to mine anger and according to my fury; and they shall know my vengeance, saith the Lord GOD.

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with a despiteful heart, to destroy it for the old hatred;

내가 모압에 벌을 내리리니 내가 주 여호와인 줄을 너희가 알리라

주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 에돔이 유다 족속을 쳐서 원수를 갚았고 원수를 갚음으로 심히 범죄하였도다

그러므로 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 내가 내 손을 에돔 위에 펴서 사람과 짐승을 그 가운데에서 끊어 데만에서부터 황폐하게 하리니 드단까지 칼에 엎드러지리라

내가 내 백성 이스라엘의 손으로 내 원수를 에돔에게 갚으리니 그들이 내 진노와 분노를 따라 에돔에 행한즉 내가 원수를 갚음인 줄을 에돔이 알리라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라

주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 블레셋 사람이 옛날부터 미워하여 멸시하는 마음으로 원수를 갚아 진멸하고자 하였도다

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will stretch out mine hand upon the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethims, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast.

And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious rebukes; and they shall know that I am the LORD, when I shall lay my vengeance upon them.

그러므로 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 내가 블레셋 사람 위에 손을 펴서 그렛 사람을 끊으며 해변에 남은 자를 진멸하되

분노의 책벌로 내 원수를 그들에게 크게 갚으리라 내가 그들에게 원수를 갚은즉 내가 여호와인 줄을 그들이 알리라 하시니라

And it came to pass in the eleventh year, in the first day of the month, that the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

Son of man, because that Tyrus hath said against Jerusalem, Aha, she is broken that was the gates of the people: she is turned unto me: I shall be replenished, now she is laid waste:

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Tyrus, and will cause many nations to come up against thee, as the sea causeth his waves to come up.

And they shall destroy the walls of Tyrus, and break down her towers: I will also scrape her dust from her, and make her like the top of a rock.

It shall be a place for the spreading of nets in the midst of the sea: for I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD: and it shall become a spoil to the nations.

열한째 해 어느 달 초하루에 여호와의 말씀이 내게 임하여 이르시되

인자야 두로가 예루살렘에 관하여 이르기를 아하 만민의 문이 깨져서 내게로 돌아왔도다 그가 황폐하였으니 내가 충만함을 얻으리라 하였도다

그러므로 주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 두로야 내가 너를 대적하여 바다가 그 파도를 굽이치게 함 같이 여러 민족들이 와서 너를 치게 하리니

그들이 두로의 성벽을 무너뜨리며 그 망대를 헐 것이요 나도 티끌을 그 위에서 쓸어 버려 맨 바위가 되게 하며

바다 가운데에 그물 치는 곳이 되게 하리니 내가 말하였음이라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라 그가 이방의 노략 거리가 될 것이요

And her daughters which are in the field shall be slain by the sword; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring upon Tyrus Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings, from the north, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and companies, and much people.

He shall slay with the sword thy daughters in the field: and he shall make a fort against thee, and cast a mount against thee, and lift up the buckler against thee.

And he shall set engines of war against thy walls, and with his axes he shall break down thy towers.

By reason of the abundance of his horses their dust shall cover thee: thy walls shall shake at the noise of the horsemen, and of the wheels, and of the chariots, when he shall enter into thy gates, as men enter into a city wherein is made a breach.

들에 있는 그의 딸들은 칼에 죽으리니 그들이 나를 여호와인 줄을 알리라

주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 내가 왕들 중의 왕 곧 바벨론의 느부갓네살 왕으로 하여금 북쪽에서 말과 병거와 기병과 군대와 백성의 큰 무리를 거느리고 와서 두로를 치게 할 때에

그가 들에 있는 너의 딸들을 칼로 죽이고 너를 치려고 사다리를 세우며 토성을 쌓으며 방패를 갖출 것이며

공성퇴를 가지고 네 성을 치며 도끼로 망대를 찍을 것이며

말이 많으므로 그 티끌이 너를 가릴 것이며 사람이 무너진 성 구멍으로 들어가는 것 같이 그가 네 성문으로 들어갈 때에 그 기병과 수레와 병거의 소리로 말미암아 네 성곽이 진동할 것이며

With the hoofs of his horses shall he tread down all thy streets: he shall slay thy people by the sword, and thy strong garrisons shall go down to the ground.

And they shall make a spoil of thy riches, and make a prey of thy merchandise: and they shall break down thy walls, and destroy thy pleasant houses: and they shall lay thy stones and thy timber and thy dust in the midst of the water.

And I will cause the noise of thy songs to cease; and the sound of thy harps shall be no more heard.

And I will make thee like the top of a rock: thou shalt be a place to spread nets upon; thou shalt be built no more: for I the LORD have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD.

Thus saith the Lord GOD to Tyrus; Shall not the isles shake at the sound of thy fall, when the wounded cry, when the slaughter is made in the midst of thee?

그가 그 말굽으로 네 모든 거리를 밟을 것이며 칼로 네 백성을 죽일 것이며 네 견고한 석상을 땅에 엎드러뜨릴 것이며

네 재물을 빼앗을 것이며 네가 무역한 것을 노략할 것이며 네 성을 헐 것이며 네가 기뻐하는 집을 무너뜨릴 것이며 또 네 돌들과 네 재목과 네 흙을 다 물 가운데에 던질 것이라

내가 네 노래 소리를 그치게 하며 네 수금 소리를 다시 들리지 않게 하고

너를 맨 바위가 되게 한즉 네가 그물 말리는 곳이 되고 다시는 건축되지 못하리니 나 여호와가 말하였음이니라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라

주 여호와께서 이같이 두로에 대하여 말씀하시되 네가 엎드러지는 소리에 모든 섬이 진동하지 아니하겠느냐 곧 너희 가운데에 상한 자가 부르짖으며 죽임을 당할 때에라

Then all the princes of the sea shall come down from their thrones, and lay away their robes, and put off their broidered garments: they shall clothe themselves with trembling; they shall sit upon the ground, and shall tremble at every moment, and be astonished at thee.

And they shall take up a lamentation for thee, and say to thee, How art thou destroyed, that wast inhabited of seafaring men, the renowned city, which wast strong in the sea, she and her inhabitants, which cause their terror to be on all that haunt it!

Now shall the isles tremble in the day of thy fall; yea, the isles that are in the sea shall be troubled at thy departure.

For thus saith the Lord GOD; When I shall make thee a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I shall bring up the deep upon thee, and great waters shall cover thee;

When I shall bring thee down with them that descend into the pit, with the people of old time, and shall set thee in the low parts of the earth, in places desolate of old, with them that go down to the pit, that thou be not inhabited; and I shall set glory in the land of the living;

그 때에 바다의 모든 왕이 그 보좌에서 내려 조복을 벗으며 수 놓은 옷을 버리고 떨림을 입듯 하고 땅에 앉아서 너로 말미암아 무시로 떨며 놀랄 것이며

그들이 너를 위하여 슬픈 노래를 불러 이르기를 항해자가 살았던 유명한 성읍이여 너와 너의 주민이 바다 가운데에 있어 견고하였도다 해변의 모든 주민을 두렵게 하였더니 어찌 그리 멸망하였는고

네가 무너지는 그날에 섬들이 진동할 것임이여 바다 가운데의 섬들이 네 결국을 보고 놀라리로다 하리라

주 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 내가 너를 주민이 없는 성읍과 같이 황폐한 성읍이 되게 하고 깊은 바다가 네 위에 오르게 하며 큰 물이 너를 덮게 할 때에

내가 너를 구덩이에 내려가는 자와 함께 내려가서 옛적 사람에게로 나아가게 하고 너를 그 구덩이에 내려간 자와 함께 땅 깊은 곳 예로부터 황폐한 곳에 살게 하리라 네가 다시는 사람이 거주하는 곳이 되지 못하리니 살아 있는 자의 땅에서 영광을 얻지 못하리라

I will make thee a terror, and thou shalt be no more: though thou be sought for, yet shalt thou never be found again, saith the Lord GOD.

내가 너를 패망하게 하여 다시 있지 못하게 하리니 사람이 비록 너를 찾으나 다시는 영원히 만나지 못하리라 주 여호와의 말씀이니라

	조복(朝服, 26:16) 왕의 의복

	황적(荒寂, 26:20) 땅의 깊은 곳. 죽은 자들이 거주한다고 생각되는 ‘음부’를 말함
