스바냐

  스바냐가 예언 활동하던 당시의 유다는 종교적 죄악과 지도자들의 압제와 포학이 만연해 있었다. 이에 스바냐는 ‘야웨의 큰 날’에 전 세계와 유다에게 임할 하나님의 심판을 경고하여 회개를 촉구하였고, 그날 하나님께서 회심한 이방인과 그의 백성을 구원할 것을 선포했다.

  스바냐는 유다 주변 국가들에게 임할 심판을 예언하고 예루살렘의 죄를 언급한 후, 하나님께서 그의 백성을 다시 모으고 구속하시며 회복시키시는 때가 올 것이라고 예언하고 있다.

 

 

스바냐 1:1-3:20

 스바냐는 우상 숭배와 유다의 지도자, 상인, 그리고 야웨를 경외하지 않는 사람들이 행한 모든 죄를 지적하면서 야웨의 날의 심판이 가까웠음을 말하였다. 그는 예루살렘에 임할 하나님의 심판을 선포한 후, 그 후에 이루어질 열방과 이스라엘의 남은 자에 대한 구원과 회복을 예언하였다.
  
  야웨의 날(1:1-3:20)    
 
  1. The word of the LORD which came unto Zephaniah the son of Cushi, the son of Gedaliah, the son of Amariah, the son of Hizkiah, in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah.
  2. I will utterly consume all things from off the land, saith the LORD.
  3. I will consume man and beast; I will consume the fowls of the heaven, and the fishes of the sea, and the stumbling blocks with the wicked: and I will cut off man from off the land, saith the LORD.
  4. I will also stretch out mine hand upon Judah, and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and I will cut off the remnant of Baal from this place, and the name of the Chemarims with the priests;
  5. And them that worship the host of heaven upon the housetops; and them that worship and that swear by the LORD, and that swear by Malcham;
  1. 아몬의 아들 유다 왕 요시야의 시대에 스바냐에게 임한 여호와의 말씀이라 스바냐는 히스기야의 현손이요 아마랴의 증손이요 그다랴의 손자요 구시의 아들이었더라
  2. 여호와께서 이르시되 내가 땅 위에서 모든 것을 진멸하리라
  3. 내가 사람과 짐승을 진멸하고 공중의 새와 바다의 고기와 거치게 하는 것과 악인들을 아울러 진멸할 것이라 내가 사람을 땅 위에서 멸절하리라 나 여호와의 말이니라
  4. 내가 유다와 예루살렘의 모든 주민들 위에 손을 펴서 남아 있는 바알을 그 곳에서 멸절하며 그마림이란 이름과 및 그 제사장들을 아울러 멸절하며
  5. 또 지붕에서 하늘의 뭇 별에게 경배하는 자들과 경배하며 여호와께 맹세하면서 말감을 가리켜 맹세하는 자들과
  1. And them that are turned back from the LORD; and those that have not sought the LORD, nor enquired for him.
  2. Hold thy peace at the presence of the Lord GOD: for the day of the LORD is at hand: for the LORD hath prepared a sacrifice, he hath bid his guests.
  3. And it shall come to pass in the day of the LORD's sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king's children, and all such as are clothed with strange apparel.
  4. In the same day also will I punish all those that leap on the threshold, which fill their masters' houses with violence and deceit.
  5. And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD, that there shall be the noise of a cry from the fish gate, and an howling from the second, and a great crashing from the hills.
  1. 여호와를 배반하고 따르지 아니한 자들과 여호와를 찾지도 아니하며 구하지도 아니한 자들을 멸절하리라
  2. 주 여호와 앞에서 잠잠할지어다 이는 여호와의 날이 가까웠으므로 여호와께서 희생을 준비하고 그가 청할 자들을 구별하셨음이니라
  3. 여호와의 희생의 날에 내가 방백들과 왕자들과 이방인의 옷을 입은 자들을 벌할 것이며
  4. 그 날에 문턱을 뛰어넘어서 포악과 거짓을 자기 주인의 집에 채운 자들을 내가 벌하리라
  5. 나 여호와가 말하노라 그 날에 어문에서는 부르짖는 소리가, 제 이 구역에서는 울음 소리가, 작은 산들에서는 무너지는 소리가 일어나리라
  1. Howl, ye inhabitants of Maktesh, for all the merchant people are cut down; all they that bear silver are cut off.
  2. And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with candles, and punish the men that are settled on their lees: that say in their heart, The LORD will not do good, neither will he do evil.
  3. Therefore their goods shall become a booty, and their houses a desolation: they shall also build houses, but not inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, but not drink the wine thereof.
  4. The great day of the LORD is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the LORD: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly.
  5. That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,
  1. 막데스 주민들아 너희는 슬피 울라 가나안 백성이 다 패망하고 은을 거래하는 자들이 끊어졌음이라
  2. 그 때에 내가 예루살렘에서 찌꺼기 같이 가라앉아서 마음속에 스스로 이르기를 여호와께서는 복도 내리지 아니하시며 화도 내리지 아니하시리라 하는 자를 등불로 두루 찾아 벌하리니
  3. 그들의 재물이 노략되며 그들의 집이 황폐할 것이라 그들이 집을 건축하나 거기에 살지 못하며 포도원을 가꾸나 그 포도주를 마시지 못하리라
  4. 여호와의 큰 날이 가깝도다 가깝고도 빠르도다 여호와의 날의 소리로다 용사가 거기서 심히 슬피 우는도다
  5. 그날은 분노의 날이요 환난과 고통의 날이요 황폐와 패망의 날이요 캄캄하고 어두운 날이요 구름과 흑암의 날이요
  1. A day of the trumpet and alarm against the fenced cities, and against the high towers.
  2. And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD: and their blood shall be poured out as dust, and their flesh as the dung.
  3. Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land.
  1. 나팔을 불어 경고하며 견고한 성읍들을 치며 높은 망대를 치는 날이로다
  2. 내가 사람들에게 고난을 내려 맹인 같이 행하게 하리니 이는 그들이 나 여호와께 범죄하였음이라 또 그들의 피는 쏟아져서 티끌 같이 되며 그들의 살은 분토 같이 될지라
  3. 그들의 은과 금이 여호와의 분노의 날에 능히 그들을 건지지 못할 것이며 이 온 땅이 여호와의 질투의 불에 삼켜지리니 이는 여호와가 이 땅 모든 주민을 멸절하되 놀랍게 멸절할 것임이라
 
 
  1. Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired;
  2. Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD's anger come upon you.
  3. Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD's anger.
  4. For Gaza shall be forsaken, and Ashkelon a desolation: they shall drive out Ashdod at the noon day, and Ekron shall be rooted up.
  5. Woe unto the inhabitants of the sea coast, the nation of the Cherethites! the word of the LORD is against you; O Canaan, the land of the Philistines, I will even destroy thee, that there shall be no inhabitant.
  1. 수치를 모르는 백성아 모일지어다 모일지어다
  2. 명령이 시행되어 날이 겨 같이 지나가기 전, 여호와의 진노가 너희에게 내리기 전, 여호와의 분노의 날이 너희에게 이르기 전에 그리할지어다
  3. 여호와의 규례를 지키는 세상의 모든 겸손한 자들아 너희는 여호와를 찾으며 공의와 겸손을 구하라 너희가 혹시 여호와의 분노의 날에 숨김을 얻으리라
  4. 가사는 버림을 당하며 아스글론은 폐허가 되며 아스돗은 대낮에 쫓겨나며 에그론은 뽑히리라
  5. 해변 주민 그렛 족속에게 화 있을진저 블레셋 사람의 땅 가나안아 여호와의 말씀이 너희를 치나니 내가 너를 멸하여 주민이 없게 하리라
  1. And the sea coast shall be dwellings and cottages for shepherds, and folds for flocks.
  2. And the coast shall be for the remnant of the house of Judah; they shall feed thereupon: in the houses of Ashkelon shall they lie down in the evening: for the LORD their God shall visit them, and turn away their captivity.
  3. I have heard the reproach of Moab, and the revilings of the children of Ammon, whereby they have reproached my people, and magnified themselves against their border.
  4. Therefore as I live, saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Surely Moab shall be as Sodom, and the children of Ammon as Gomorrah, even the breeding of nettles, and saltpits, and a perpetual desolation: the residue of my people shall spoil them, and the remnant of my people shall possess them.
  5. This shall they have for their pride, because they have reproached and magnified themselves against the people of the LORD of hosts.
  1. 해변은 풀밭이 되어 목자의 움막과 양 떼의 우리가 거기에 있을 것이며
  2. 그 지경은 유다 족속의 남은 자에게로 돌아갈지라 그들이 거기에서 양 떼를 먹이고 저녁에는 아스글론 집들에 누우리니 이는 그들의 하나님 여호와가 그들을 보살피사 그들이 사로잡힘을 돌이킬 것임이라
  3. 내가 모압의 비방과 암몬 자손이 조롱하는 말을 들었나니 그들이 내 백성을 비방하고 자기들의 경계에 대하여 교만하였느니라
  4. 그러므로 만군의 여호와 이스라엘의 하나님이 말하노라 내가 나의 삶을 두고 맹세하노니 장차 모압은 소돔 같으며 암몬 자손은 고모라 같을 것이라 찔레가 나며 소금 구덩이가 되어 영원히 황폐하리니 내 백성의 남은 자들이 그들을 노략하며 나의 남은 백성이 그것을 기업으로 얻을 것이라
  5. 그들이 이런 일을 당할 것은 그들이 만군의 여호와의 백성에 대하여 교만하여졌음이라
  1. The LORD will be terrible unto them: for he will famish all the gods of the earth; and men shall worship him, every one from his place, even all the isles of the heathen.
  2. Ye Ethiopians also, ye shall be slain by my sword.
  3. And he will stretch out his hand against the north, and destroy Assyria; and will make Nineveh a desolation, and dry like a wilderness.
  4. And flocks shall lie down in the midst of her, all the beasts of the nations: both the cormorant and the bittern shall lodge in the upper lintels of it; their voice shall sing in the windows; desolation shall be in the thresholds; for he shall uncover the cedar work.
  5. This is the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none beside me: how is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! every one that passeth by her shall hiss, and wag his hand.
  1. 여호와가 그들에게 두렵게 되어서 세상의 모든 신을 쇠약하게 하리니 이방의 모든 해변 사람들이 각각 자기 처소에서 여호와께 경배하리라
  2. 구스 사람들아 너희도 내 칼에 죽임을 당하리라
  3. 여호와가 북쪽을 향하여 손을 펴서 앗수르를 멸하며 니느웨를 황폐하게 하여 사막 같이 메마르게 하리니
  4. 각종 짐승이 그 가운데에 떼로 누울 것이며 당아와 고슴도치가 그 기둥 꼭대기에 깃들이고 그것들이 창에서 울 것이며 문턱이 적막하리니 백향목으로 지은 것이 벗겨졌음이라
  5. 이는 기쁜 성이라 염려 없이 거주하며 마음속에 이르기를 오직 나만 있고 나 외에는 다른 이가 없다 하더니 어찌 이와 같이 황폐하여 들짐승이 엎드릴 곳이 되었는고 지나가는 자마다 비웃으며 손을 흔들리로다
 
 
  1. Woe to her that is filthy and polluted, to the oppressing city!
  2. She obeyed not the voice; she received not correction; she trusted not in the LORD; she drew not near to her God.
  3. Her princes within her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves; they gnaw not the bones till the morrow.
  4. Her prophets are light and treacherous persons: her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they have done violence to the law.
  5. The just LORD is in the midst thereof; he will not do iniquity: every morning doth he bring his judgment to light, he faileth not; but the unjust knoweth no shame.
  1. 패역하고 더러운 곳, 포학한 그 성읍이 화 있을진저
  2. 그가 명령을 듣지 아니하며 교훈을 받지 아니하며 여호와를 의뢰하지 아니하며 자기 하나님에게 가까이 나아가지 아니하였도다
  3. 그 가운데 방백들은 부르짖는 사자요 그의 재판장들은 이튿날까지 남겨 두는 것이 없는 저녁 이리요
  4. 그의 선지자들은 경솔하고 간사한 사람들이요 그의 제사장들은 성소를 더럽히고 율법을 범하였도다
  5. 그 가운데에 계시는 여호와는 의로우사 불의를 행하지 아니하시고 아침마다 빠짐없이 자기의 공의를 비추시거늘 불의한 자는 수치를 알지 못하는도다
  1. I have cut off the nations: their towers are desolate; I made their streets waste, that none passeth by: their cities are destroyed, so that there is no man, that there is none inhabitant.
  2. I said, Surely thou wilt fear me, thou wilt receive instruction; so their dwelling should not be cut off, howsoever I punished them: but they rose early, and corrupted all their doings.
  3. Therefore wait ye upon me, saith the LORD, until the day that I rise up to the prey: for my determination is to gather the nations, that I may assemble the kingdoms, to pour upon them mine indignation, even all my fierce anger: for all the earth shall be devoured with the fire of my jealousy.
  4. For then will I turn to the people a pure language, that they may all call upon the name of the LORD, to serve him with one consent.
  5. From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia my suppliants, even the daughter of my dispersed, shall bring mine offering.
  1. 내가 여러 나라를 끊어 버렸으므로 그들의 망대가 파괴되었고 내가 그들의 거리를 비게 하여 지나는 자가 없게 하였으므로 그들의 모든 성읍이 황폐하며 사람이 없으며 거주할 자가 없게 되었느니라
  2. 내가 이르기를 너는 오직 나를 경외하고 교훈을 받으라 그리하면 내가 형벌을 내리기로 정하기는 하였지만 너의 거처가 끊어지지 아니하리라 하였으나 그들이 부지런히 그들의 모든 행위를 더럽게 하였느니라
  3. 나 여호와가 말하노라 그러므로 내가 일어나 벌할 날까지 너희는 나를 기다리라 내가 뜻을 정하고 나의 분노와 모든 진노를 쏟으려고 여러 나라를 소집하며 왕국들을 모으리라 온 땅이 나의 질투의 불에 소멸되리라
  4. 그 때에 내가 여러 백성의 입술을 깨끗하게 하여 그들이 다 여호와의 이름을 부르며 한 가지로 나를 섬기게 하리니
  5. 내게 구하는 백성들 곧 내가 흩은 자의 딸이 구스 강 건너편에서부터 예물을 가지고 와서 내게 바칠지라
  1. In that day shalt thou not be ashamed for all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the midst of thee them that rejoice in thy pride, and thou shalt no more be haughty because of my holy mountain.
  2. I will also leave in the midst of thee an afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in the name of the LORD.
  3. The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them afraid.
  4. Sing, O daughter of Zion; shout, O Israel; be glad and rejoice with all the heart, O daughter of Jerusalem.
  5. The LORD hath taken away thy judgments, he hath cast out thine enemy: the king of Israel, even the LORD, is in the midst of thee: thou shalt not see evil any more.
  1. 그 날에 네가 내게 범죄한 모든 행위로 말미암아 수치를 당하지 아니할 것은 그 때에 내가 네 가운데서 교만하여 자랑하는 자들을 제거하여 네가 나의 성산에서 다시는 교만하지 않게 할 것임이라
  2. 내가 곤고하고 가난한 백성을 네 가운데에 남겨 두리니 그들이 여호와의 이름을 의탁하여 보호를 받을지라
  3. 이스라엘의 남은 자는 악을 행하지 아니하며 거짓을 말하지 아니하며 입에 거짓된 혀가 없으며 먹고 누울지라도 그들을 두렵게 할 자가 없으리라
  4. 시온의 딸아 노래할지어다 이스라엘아 기쁘게 부를지어다 예루살렘 딸아 전심으로 기뻐하며 즐거워할지어다
  5. 여호와가 네 형벌을 제거하였고 네 원수를 쫓아냈으며 이스라엘 왕 여호와가 네 가운데 계시니 네가 다시는 화를 당할까 두려워하지 아니할 것이라
  1. In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem, Fear thou not: and to Zion, Let not thine hands be slack.
  2. The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.
  3. I will gather them that are sorrowful for the solemn assembly, who are of thee, to whom the reproach of it was a burden.
  4. Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict thee: and I will save her that halteth, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame.
  5. At that time will I bring you again, even in the time that I gather you: for I will make you a name and a praise among all people of the earth, when I turn back your captivity before your eyes, saith the LORD.
  1. 그 날에 사람이 예루살렘에 이르기를 두려워하지 말라 시온아 네 손을 늘어뜨리지 말라
  2. 너의 하나님 여호와가 너의 가운데에 계시니 그는 구원을 베푸실 전능자이시라 그가 너로 말미암아 기쁨을 이기지 못하시며 너를 잠잠히 사랑하시며 너로 말미암아 즐거이 부르며 기뻐하시리라 하리라
  3. 내가 절기로 말미암아 근심하는 자들을 모으리니 그들은 네게 속한 자라 그들에게 지워진 짐이 치욕이 되었느니라
  4. 그 때에 내가 너를 괴롭게 하는 자를 다 벌하고 저는 자를 구원하며 쫓겨난 자를 모으며 온 세상에서 수욕 받는 자에게 칭찬과 명성을 얻게 하리라
  5. 내가 그 때에 너희를 이끌고 그 때에 너희를 모을지라 내가 너희 목전에서 너희의 사로잡힘을 돌이킬 때에 너희에게 천하 만민 가운데서 명성과 칭찬을 얻게 하리라 여호와의 말이니라
