- もしあなたの 兄弟が 罪を 犯すなら， 行って， 彼とふたりだけの 所で 忠告しなさい． もし 聞いてくれたら， あなたの 兄弟を 得たことになる．
- もし 聞いてくれないなら， ほかにひとりふたりを， 一緖に 連れて 行きなさい． それは， ふたりまたは 三人の 證人の 口によって， すべてのことがらが 確かめられるためである．
- もし 彼らの 言うことを 聞かないなら， 敎會に 申し 出なさい． もし 敎會の 言うことも 聞かないなら， その 人を 異邦人または 取稅人同樣に 扱いなさい．
- よく 言っておく． あなたがたが 地上でつなぐことは， 天でも 皆つながれ， あなたがたが 地上で 解くことは， 天でもみな 解かれるであろう．
- また， よく 言っておく． もしあなたがたのうちのふたりが， どんな 願い 事についても 地上で 心を 合わせるなら， 天にいますわたしの 父はそれをかなえて 下さるであろう．

- "If your brother sins against you, go and show him his fault, just between the two of you. If he listens to you, you have won your brother over.
- But if he will not listen, take one or two others along, so that 'every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.'
- If he refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if he refuses to listen even to the church, treat him as you would a pagan or a tax collector.
- "I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will bebound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.
- "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven.

- ふたりまたは 三人が， わたしの 名によって 集まっている 所には， わたしもその 中にいるのである 」．
- そのとき， ペテロ が イエス のもとにきて 言った， 「主よ， 兄弟がわたしに 對して 罪を 犯した 場合， 幾たびゆるさねばなりませんか． 七たびまでですか 」．
- イエス は 彼に 言われた， 「わたしは 七たびまでとは 言わない． 七たびを 七十倍するまでにしなさい．

- For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."
- Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, "Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother when he sins against me? Up to seven times?"
- Jesus answered, "I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.
