- 荒らす 憎むべきものが， 立ってはならぬ 所に 立つのを 見たならば（讀者よ， 悟れ ）， そのとき， ユダヤ にいる 人¿は 山へ 逃げよ．
- 屋上にいる 者は， 下におりるな． また 家から 物を 取り 出そうとして 內にはいるな．
- 畑にいる 者は， 上着を 取りにあとへもどるな．
- その 日には， 身重の 女と 乳飮み 子をもつ 女とは， 不幸である．
- この 事が 冬おこらぬように 祈れ．

- "When you see 'the abomination that causes desolation'standing where it does not belong--let the reader understand--then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.
- Let no one on the roof of his house go down or enter the house to take anything out.
- Let no one in the field go back to get his cloak.
- How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers!
- Pray that this will not take place in winter,

- その 日には， 神が 万物を 造られた 創造の 初めから 現在に 至るまで， かつてなく 今後もないような 患難が 起るからである．
- もし 主がその 期間を 縮めてくださらないなら， 救われる 者はひとりもないであろう． しかし， 選ばれた 選民のために， その 期間を 縮めてくださったのである．
- そのとき， だれかがあなたがたに『見よ， ここに キリスト がいる 』， 『見よ， あそこにいる 』と 言っても， それを 信じるな．
- にせ キリスト たちや， にせ 預言者たちが 起って， しるしと 奇跡とを 行い， できれば， 選民をも 惑わそうとするであろう．
- だから， 氣をつけていなさい． いっさいの 事を， あなたがたに 前もって 言っておく．

- because those will be days of distress unequaled from the beginning, when God created the world, until now--and never to be equaled again.
- If the Lord had not cut short those days, no one would survive. But for the sake of the elect, whom he has chosen, he has shortened them.
- At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'Look, there he is!' do not believe it.
- For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform signs and miracles to deceive the elect--if that were possible.
- So be on your guard; I have told you everything ahead of time.

- その 日には， この 患難の 後， 日は 暗くなり， 月はその 光を 放つことをやめ，
- 星は 空から 落ち， 天體は ¿り 動かされるであろう．
- そのとき， 大いなる 力と 榮光とをもって， 人の 子が 雲に 乘って 來るのを， 人¿は 見るであろう．
- そのとき， 彼は 御使たちをつかわして， 地のはてから 天のはてまで， 四方からその 選民を 呼び 集めるであろう．
- いちじくの 木からこの ·を 學びなさい． その 枝が 柔らかになり， 葉が 出るようになると， 夏の 近いことがわかる．

- "But in those days, following that distress, " 'the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light;
- the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.'
- "At that time men will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.
- And he will send his angels and gather his elect from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens.
- "Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near.

- そのように， これらの 事が 起るのを 見たならば， 人の 子が 戶口まで 近づいていると 知りなさい．
- よく 聞いておきなさい． これらの 事が， ことごとく 起るまでは， この 時代は 滅びることがない．
- 天地は 滅びるであろう． しかしわたしの 言葉は 滅びることがない．
- その 日， その 時は， だれも 知らない． 天にいる 御使たちも， また 子も 知らない， ただ 父だけが 知っておられる．
- 氣をつけて， 目をさましていなさい． その 時がいつであるか， あなたがたにはわからないからである．

- Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that it is near, right at the door.
- I tell you the truth, this generation will certainly not pass away until all these things have happened.
- Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
- "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
- Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come.

- それはちょうど， 旅に 立つ 人が 家を 出るに 當り， その 僕たちに， それぞれ 仕事を 割り 當てて 責任をもたせ， 門番には 目をさましておれと， 命じるようなものである．
- だから， 目をさましていなさい． いつ， 家の 主人が 歸って 來るのか， 夕方か， 夜中か， にわとりの 鳴くころか， 明け 方か， わからないからである．
- あるいは 急に 歸ってきて， あなたがたの 眠っているところを 見つけるかも 知れない．
- 目をさましていなさい． わたしがあなたがたに 言うこの 言葉は， すべての 人¿に 言うのである 」．

- It's like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with his assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch.
- "Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back--whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn.
- If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping.
- What I say to you, I say to everyone: 'Watch!' "
