열왕기하 20:1-21:26

 히스기야는 불치병을 기도로 치료받고 생명을 15년 연장받는 기적을 체험하였지만, 바벨론 사절단 앞에서 자신의 부귀 영화를 자랑하는 교만한 행위를 나타냄으로써 이사야 선지자를 통해 유다 왕국의 멸망을 예고받았다. 히스기야의 뒤를 이은 므낫세와 아몬은 거듭된 하나님의 심판의 경고에도 불구하고 우상 숭배와 사악한 통치를 행하여 유다 멸망의 결정적인 원인을 제공하였다.
  
  히스기야의 생명 연장과 실수(20:1-20:21)    
 
  1. そのころ， ヒゼキヤ は 病氣になって 死にかかっていた． アモツ の 子預言者 イザヤ は 彼のところにきて 言った， 「主はこう 仰せられます， 『家の 人に 遺言をなさい． あなたは 死にます． 生きながらえることはできません 』」．
  2. そこで ヒゼキヤ は 顔を 壁に 向けて 主に 祈って 言った，
  3. 「ああ 主よ， わたしが 眞實を 眞心をもってあなたの 前に 步み， あなたの 目にかなうことをおこなったのをどうぞ 思い 起してください 」． そして ヒゼキヤ は 激しく 泣いた．
  4. イザヤ がまだ 中庭を 出ないうちに 主の 言葉が 彼に 臨んだ，
  5. 「引き 返して， わたしの 民の 君 ヒゼキヤ に 言いなさい， 『あなたの 父 ダビデ の 神， 主はこう 仰せられる， わたしはあなたの 祈を 聞き， あなたの 淚を 見た． 見よ， わたしはあなたをいやす． 三日目にはあなたは 主の 宮に 上るであろう．
  1. In those days Hezekiah became ill and was at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz went to him and said, "This is what the LORD says: Put your house in order, because you are going to die; you will not recover."
  2. Hezekiah turned his face to the wall and prayed to the LORD,
  3. "Remember, O LORD, how I have walked before you faithfully and with wholehearted devotion and have done what is good in your eyes." And Hezekiah wept bitterly.
  4. Before Isaiah had left the middle court, the word of the LORD came to him:
  5. "Go back and tell Hezekiah, the leader of my people, 'This is what the LORD, the God of your father David, says: I have heard your prayer and seen your tears; I will heal you. On the third day from now you will go up to the temple of the LORD.
  1. かつ， わたしはあなたのよわいを 十五年增す． わたしはあなたと， この 町とを アッスリヤ の 王の 手から 救い， わたしの 名のため， またわたしのしもべ ダビデ のためにこの 町を 守るであろう 』」．
  2. そして イザヤ は 言った， 「干しいちじくのひとかたまりを 持ってきて， それを 腫物につけさせなさい． そうすれば 直るでしょう 」．
  3. ヒゼキヤ は イザヤ に 言った， 「主がわたしをいやされる 事と， 三日目にわたしが 主の 家に 上ることについて， どんなしるしがありましょうか 」．
  4. イザヤ は 言った， 「主が 約束されたことを 行われることについては， 主からこのしるしを 得られるでしょう． すなわち 日影が 十度進むか， あるいは 十度退くかです 」．
  5. ヒゼキヤ は 答えた， 「日影が 十度進むことはたやすい 事です． むしろ 日影を 十度退かせてください 」．
  1. I will add fifteen years to your life. And I will deliver you and this city from the hand of the king of Assyria. I will defend this city for my sake and for the sake of my servant David.' "
  2. Then Isaiah said, "Prepare a poultice of figs." They did so and applied it to the boil, and he recovered.
  3. Hezekiah had asked Isaiah, "What will be the sign that the LORD will heal me and that I will go up to the temple of the LORD on the third day from now?"
  4. Isaiah answered, "This is the LORD's sign to you that the LORD will do what he has promised: Shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or shall it go back ten steps?"
  5. "It is a simple matter for the shadow to go forward ten steps," said Hezekiah. "Rather, have it go back ten steps."
  1. そこで 預言者 イザヤ が 主に 呼ばわると， アハズ の 日時計の 上に 進んだ 日影を， 十度退かせられた．
  2. そのころ， バラダン の 子である バビロン の 王 メロダクバラダン は， 手紙と 贈り 物を 持たせて 使節を ヒゼキヤ につかわした． これは ヒゼキヤ が 病んでいることを 聞いたからである．
  3. ヒゼキヤ は 彼らを 喜び 迎えて， 寶物の 藏， 金銀， 香料， 貴重な 油および 武器倉， ならびにその 倉庫にあるすべての 物を 彼らに 見せた． 家にある 物も， 國にある 物も， ヒゼキヤ が 彼らに 見せない 物は 一つもなかった．
  4. その 時， 預言者 イザヤ は ヒゼキヤ 王のもとにきて 言った， 「あの 人¿は 何を 言いましたか． どこからきたのですか 」． ヒゼキヤ は 言った， 「彼らは 遠い 國から， バビロン からきたのです 」．
  5. イザヤ は 言った， 「彼らはあなたの 家で 何を 見ましたか 」． ヒゼキヤ は 答えて 言った， 「わたしの 家にある 物を 皆見ました． わたしの 倉庫のうちには， わたしが 彼らに 見せない 物は 一つもありません 」．
  1. Then the prophet Isaiah called upon the LORD, and the LORD made the shadow go back the ten steps it had gone down on the stairway of Ahaz.
  2. At that time Merodach-Baladan son of Baladan king of Babylon sent Hezekiah letters and a gift, because he had heard of Hezekiah's illness.
  3. Hezekiah received the messengers and showed them all that was in his storehouses--the silver, the gold, the spices and the fine oil--his armory and everything found among his treasures. There was nothing in his palace or in all his kingdom that Hezekiah did not show them.
  4. Then Isaiah the prophet went to King Hezekiah and asked, "What did those men say, and where did they come from?" "From a distant land," Hezekiah replied. "They came from Babylon."
  5. The prophet asked, "What did they see in your palace?" "They saw everything in my palace," Hezekiah said. "There is nothing among my treasures that I did not show them."
  1. そこで イザヤ は ヒゼキヤ に 言った， 「主の 言葉を 聞きなさい，
  2. 『主は 言われる， 見よ， すべてあなたの 家にある 物， および， あなたの 先祖たちが 今日までに 積みたくわえた 物の， バビロン に 運び 去られる 日が 來る． 何も 殘るものはないであろう．
  3. また， あなたの 身から 出るあなたの 子たちも 連れ 去られ， バビロン の 王の 宮殿で 宦官となるであろう 』」．
  4. ヒゼキヤ は イザヤ に 言った， 「あなたが 言われた 主の 言葉は 結構です 」． 彼は「せめて 自分が 世にあるあいだ， 平和と 安全があれば 良いことではなかろうか 」と 思ったからである．
  5. ヒゼキヤ のその 他の 事績とその 武勇および， 彼が 貯水池と 水道を 作って， 町に 水を 引いた 事は， ユダ の 王の 歷代志の 書にしるされているではないか．
  1. Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, "Hear the word of the LORD :
  2. The time will surely come when everything in your palace, and all that your fathers have stored up until this day, will be carried off to Babylon. Nothing will be left, says the LORD.
  3. And some of your descendants, your own flesh and blood, that will be born to you, will be taken away, and they will become eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon."
  4. "The word of the LORD you have spoken is good," Hezekiah replied. For he thought, "Will there not be peace and security in my lifetime?"
  5. As for the other events of Hezekiah's reign, all his achievements and how he made the pool and the tunnel by which he brought water into the city, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah?
  1. ヒゼキヤ はその 先祖たちと 共に 眠って， その 子 マナセ が 代って 王となった．
  1. Hezekiah rested with his fathers. And Manasseh his son succeeded him as king.

  1. マナセ は 十二歲で 王となり， 五十五年の 間， エルサレム で 世を 治めた． 母の 名は ヘフジバ といった．
  2. マナセ は 主が イスラエル の 人¿の 前から 追い 拂われた 國¿の 民の 憎むべきおこないにならって， 主の 目の 前に 惡をおこなった．
  3. 彼は 父 ヒゼキヤ がこわした 高き 所を 建て 直し， また イスラエル の 王 アハブ がしたように バアル のために 祭壇を 築き， アシラ 像を 造り， かつ 天の 万象を 拜んで， これに 仕えた．
  4. また 主の 宮のうちに 數個の 祭壇を 築いた． これは 主が「わたしの 名を エルサレム に 置こう 」と 言われたその 宮である．
  5. 彼はまた 主の 宮の 二つの 庭に 天の 万象のために 祭壇を 築いた．
  1. Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem fifty-five years. His mother's name was Hephzibah.
  2. He did evil in the eyes of the LORD, following the detestable practices of the nations the LORD had driven out before the Israelites.
  3. He rebuilt the high places his father Hezekiah had destroyed; he also erected altars to Baal and made an Asherah pole, as Ahab king of Israel had done. He bowed down to all the starry hosts and worshiped them.
  4. He built altars in the temple of the LORD, of which the LORD had said, "In Jerusalem I will put my Name."
  5. In both courts of the temple of the LORD, he built altars to all the starry hosts.
  1. またその 子を 火に 燒いてささげ 物とし， 占いをし， 魔術を 行い， 口寄せと 魔法使を 用い， 主の 目の 前に 多くの 惡を 行って， 主の 怒りを 引き 起した．
  2. 彼はまた アシラ の 彫像を 作って 主の 宮に 置いた． 主はこの 宮について ダビデ とその 子 ソロモン に 言われたことがある， 「わたしはこの 宮と， わたしが イスラエル のすべての 部族のうちから 選んだ エルサレム とに， わたしの 名を 永遠に 置く．
  3. もし， 彼らがわたしが 命じたすべての 事， およびわたしのしもべ モ ― セ が 命じたすべての 律法を 守り 行うならば， イスラエル の 足を， わたしが 彼らの 先祖たちに 與えた 地から， 重ねて 迷い 出させないであろう 」．

  5. そこで 主はそのしもべである 預言者たちによって 言われた，
  1. He sacrificed his own son in the fire, practiced sorcery and divination, and consulted mediums and spiritists. He did much evil in the eyes of the LORD, provoking him to anger.
  2. He took the carved Asherah pole he had made and put it in the temple, of which the LORD had said to David and to his son Solomon, "In this temple and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, I will put my Name forever.
  3. I will not again make the feet of the Israelites wander from the land I gave their forefathers, if only they will be careful to do everything I commanded them and will keep the whole Law that my servant Moses gave them."
  4. But the people did not listen. Manasseh led them astray, so that they did more evil than the nations the LORD had destroyed before the Israelites.
  5. The LORD said through his servants the prophets:
  1. 「ユダ の 王 マナセ がこれらの 憎むべき 事を 行い， 彼の 先にあった アモリ びとの 行ったすべての 事よりも 惡い 事を 行い， またその 偶像をもって ユダ に 罪を 犯させたので，
  2. イスラエル の 神， 主はこう 仰せられる， 見よ， わたしは エルサレム と ユダ に 災をくだそうとしている． これを 聞く 者は， その 耳が 二つながら 鳴るであろう．
  3. わたしは サマリヤ をはかった 測りなわと， アハブ の 家に 用いた 下げ 振りを エルサレム にほどこし， 人が 皿をぬぐい， これをぬぐって 伏せるように， エルサレム をぬぐい 去る．
  4. わたしは， わたしの 嗣業の 民の 殘りを 捨て， 彼らを 敵の 手に 渡す． 彼らはもろもろの 敵のえじきとなり， 略奪にあうであろう．
  5. これは 彼らの 先祖たちが エジプト を 出た 日から 今日に 至るまで， 彼らがわたしの 目の 前に 惡を 行って， わたしを 怒らせたためである 」．
  1. "Manasseh king of Judah has committed these detestable sins. He has done more evil than the Amorites who preceded him and has led Judah into sin with his idols.
  2. Therefore this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: I am going to bring such disaster on Jerusalem and Judah that the ears of everyone who hears of it will tingle.
  3. I will stretch out over Jerusalem the measuring line used against Samaria and the plumb line used against the house of Ahab. I will wipe out Jerusalem as one wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down.
  4. I will forsake the remnant of my inheritance and hand them over to their enemies. They will be looted and plundered by all their foes,
  5. because they have done evil in my eyes and have provoked me to anger from the day their forefathers came out of Egypt until this day."
  1. マナセ はまた 主の 目の 前に 惡を 行って， ユダ に 罪を 犯させたその 罪のほかに， 罪なき 者の 血を 多く 流して， エルサレム のこの 果から， かの 果にまで 滿たした．
  2. マナセ のその 他の 事績と， 彼がおこなったすべての 事およびその 犯した 罪は， ユダ の 王の 歷代志の 書にしるされているではないか．
  3. マナセ は 先祖たちと 共に 眠って， その 家の 園すなわち ウザ の 園に 葬られ， その 子 アモン が 代って 王となった．
  4. アモン は 王となった 時二十二歲であって， エルサレム で 二年の 間， 世を 治めた． 母は ヨテバ の ハルツ の 娘で， 名を メシュレメテ といった．
  5. アモン はその 父 マナセ のおこなったように， 主の 目の 前に 惡を 行った．
  1. Moreover, Manasseh also shed so much innocent blood that he filled Jerusalem from end to end--besides the sin that he had caused Judah to commit, so that they did evil in the eyes of the LORD.
  2. As for the other events of Manasseh's reign, and all he did, including the sin he committed, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah?
  3. Manasseh rested with his fathers and was buried in his palace garden, the garden of Uzza. And Amon his son succeeded him as king.
  4. Amon was twenty-two years old when he became king, and he reigned in Jerusalem two years. His mother's name was Meshullemeth daughter of Haruz; she was from Jotbah.
  5. He did evil in the eyes of the LORD, as his father Manasseh had done.
  1. すなわち 彼はすべてその 父の 步んだ 道に 步み， 父の 仕えた 偶像に 仕えて， これを 拜み，
  2. 先祖たちの 神， 主を 捨てて， 主の 道に 步まなかった．
  3. アモン の 家來たちはついに 彼に 敵して 徒黨を 結び， 王をその 家で 殺したが，
  4. 國の 民は， アモン 王に 敵して 徒黨を 結んだ 者をことごとく 擊ち 殺した． そして 國の 民は アモン の 子 ヨシヤ を 王として アモン に 代らせた．
  5. アモン のその 他の 事績は， ユダ の 王の 歷代志の 書にしるされているではないか．
  1. He walked in all the ways of his father; he worshiped the idols his father had worshiped, and bowed down to them.
  2. He forsook the LORD, the God of his fathers, and did not walk in the way of the LORD.
  3. Amon's officials conspired against him and assassinated the king in his palace.
  4. Then the people of the land killed all who had plotted against King Amon, and they made Josiah his son king in his place.
  5. As for the other events of Amon's reign, and what he did, are they not written in the book of the annals of the kings of Judah?
  1. アモン は ウザ の 園にある 墓に 葬られ， その 子 ヨシヤ が 代って 王となった．
  1. He was buried in his grave in the garden of Uzza. And Josiah his son succeeded him as king.
