역대하 8:1-9:31

 솔로몬의 지혜로운 통치로 말미암아 정치, 경제, 종교, 각 방면으로 부강한 나라가 되었다. 그의 명성을 듣고 방문한 스바 여왕은 솔로몬의 지혜와 부귀 영화에 탄복하고 돌아갔다.
  
  솔로몬의 업적들(8:1-8:18)    
 
  1. ソロモン は 二十年を 經て， 主の 家と 自分の 家とを 建て 終った．
  2. また ソロモン は ヒラム から 送られた 町¿を 建て 直して， そこに イスラエル の 人¿を 住ませた．
  3. ソロモン はまた ハマテ · ゾバ を 攻めて， これを 取った．
  4. 彼はまた 荒野に タデモル を 建て， もろもろの 倉の 町を ハマテ に 建てた．
  5. また 城壁， 門， 貫の 木のある 堅固な 町， 上 ベテホロン と 下 ベテホロン を 建てた．
  1. At the end of twenty years, during which Solomon built the temple of the LORD and his own palace,
  2. Solomon rebuilt the villages that Hiram had given him, and settled Israelites in them.
  3. Solomon then went to Hamath Zobah and captured it.
  4. He also built up Tadmor in the desert and all the store cities he had built in Hamath.
  5. He rebuilt Upper Beth Horon and Lower Beth Horon as fortified cities, with walls and with gates and bars,
  1. ソロモン はまた バアラテ と 自分のもっていたすべての 倉の 町と， すべての 戰車の 町と， 騎兵の 町， ならびに エルサレム ， レバノン および 自分の 治める 全地方に 建てようと 望んだものを， ことごとく 建てた．

  1. as well as Baalath and all his store cities, and all the cities for his chariots and for his horses --whatever he desired to build in Jerusalem, in Lebanon and throughout all the territory he ruled.
  2. All the people left from the Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites (these peoples were not Israelites),
  3. that is, their descendants remaining in the land, whom the Israelites had not destroyed--these Solomon conscripted for his slave labor force, as it is to this day.
  4. But Solomon did not make slaves of the Israelites for his work; they were his fighting men, commanders of his captains, and commanders of his chariots and charioteers.
  5. They were also King Solomon's chief officials--two hundred and fifty officials supervising the men.

  4. ソロモン は， その 父 ダビデ のおきてに 從って， 祭司の 組を 定めてその 職に 任じ， また レビ びとをその 勤めに 任じて， 每日定めのように 祭司の 前でさんびと 奉仕をさせ， また 門を 守る 者に， その 組にしたがって， もろもろの 門を 守らせた． これは 神の 人 ダビデ がこのように 命じたからである．
  5. 祭司と レビ びとはすべての 事につき， また 倉の 事について， 王の 命令にそむかなかった．
  1. Solomon brought Pharaoh's daughter up from the City of David to the palace he had built for her, for he said, "My wife must not live in the palace of David king of Israel, because the places the ark of the LORD has entered are holy."
  2. On the altar of the LORD that he had built in front of the portico, Solomon sacrificed burnt offerings to the LORD,
  3. according to the daily requirement for offerings commanded by Moses for Sabbaths, New Moons and the three annual feasts--the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of Weeks and the Feast of Tabernacles.
  4. In keeping with the ordinance of his father David, he appointed the divisions of the priests for their duties, and the Levites to lead the praise and to assist the priests according to each day's requirement. He also appointed the gatekeepers by divisions for the various gates, because this was what David the man of God had ordered.
  5. They did not deviate from the king's commands to the priests or to the Levites in any matter, including that of the treasuries.
  1. このように ソロモン は， 主の 宮の 基をすえた 日からこれをなし 終えたときまで， その 工事の 準備をことごとくなしたので， 主の 宮は 完成した．
  2. それから ソロモン は エドム の 地の 海べにある エジオン · ゲベル および エロテ へ 行った．
  3. 時に ヒラム はそのしもべどもの 手によって 船團を 彼に 送り， また 海の 事になれたしもべどもをつかわしたので， 彼らは ソロモン のしもべらと 共に オフル へ 行き， そこから 金四百五十 タラント を 取って， これを ソロモン 王のもとに 携えてきた．
  1. All Solomon's work was carried out, from the day the foundation of the temple of the LORD was laid until its completion. So the temple of the LORD was finished.
  2. Then Solomon went to Ezion Geber and Elath on the coast of Edom.
  3. And Hiram sent him ships commanded by his own officers, men who knew the sea. These, with Solomon's men, sailed to Ophir and brought back four hundred and fifty talents of gold, which they delivered to King Solomon.
 
  솔로몬의 영광과 죽음(9:1-9:31)    
 
  1. シバ の 女王は ソロモン の 名聲を 聞いたので， 難問をもって ソロモン を 試みようと， 非常に 多くの 從者を 連れ， 香料と 非常にたくさんの 金と 寶石とをらくだに 負わせて， エルサレム の ソロモン のもとに 來て， その 心にあることをことごとく 彼に 告げた．

  1. When the queen of Sheba heard of Solomon's fame, she came to Jerusalem to test him with hard questions. Arriving with a very great caravan--with camels carrying spices, large quantities of gold, and precious stones--she came to Solomon and talked with him about all she had on her mind.
  2. Solomon answered all her questions; nothing was too hard for him to explain to her.
  3. When the queen of Sheba saw the wisdom of Solomon, as well as the palace he had built,
  4. the food on his table, the seating of his officials, the attending servants in their robes, the cupbearers in their robes and the burnt offerings he made at the temple of the LORD, she was overwhelmed.
  5. She said to the king, "The report I heard in my own country about your achievements and your wisdom is true.
  1. しかしわたしは 來て 目に 見るまでは， そのうわさを 信じませんでしたが， 今見ると， あなたの 知惠の 大いなることはその 半分もわたしに 知らされませんでした． あなたはわたしの 聞いたうわさにまさっています．
  2. あなたの 奧方たちはさいわいです． 常にあなたの 前に 立って， あなたの 知惠を 聞くこのあなたの 家來たちはさいわいです．
  3. あなたの 神， 主はほむべきかな． 主はあなたを 喜び， あなたをその 位につかせ， あなたの 神， 主のために 王とされました． あなたの 神は イスラエル を 愛して， とこしえにこれを 堅くするために， あなたをその 王とされ， 公道と 正義を 行われるのです 」．
  4. そして 彼女は 金百二十 タラント ， および 非常に 多くの 香料と 寶石とを 王に 贈った． シバ の 女王が ソロモン に 贈ったような 香料は， いまだかつてなかった．

  1. But I did not believe what they said until I came and saw with my own eyes. Indeed, not even half the greatness of your wisdom was told me; you have far exceeded the report I heard.
  2. How happy your men must be! How happy your officials, who continually stand before you and hear your wisdom!
  3. Praise be to the LORD your God, who has delighted in you and placed you on his throne as king to rule for the LORD your God. Because of the love of your God for Israel and his desire to uphold them forever, he has made you king over them, to maintain justice and righteousness."
  4. Then she gave the king 120 talents of gold, large quantities of spices, and precious stones. There had never been such spices as those the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.
  5. (The men of Hiram and the men of Solomon brought gold from Ophir; they also brought algumwood and precious stones.
  1. 王はそのびゃくだんの 木で， 主の 宮と 王の 家とに 階段を 造り， また 歌うたう 者のために 琴と 立琴を 造った． このようなものはかつて ユダ の 地で 見たことがなかった．
  2. ソロモン 王は， シバ の 女王が 贈った 物に 報いたほかに， 彼女の 望みにまかせて， すべてその 求めるものを 贈った． そして 彼女はその 家來たちと 共に 自分の 國へ 歸って 行った．
  3. さて 一年の 間に ソロモン の 所にはいって 來た 金の 目方は 六百六十六 タラント であった．
  4. このほかに 貿易商および 商人の 携えて 來たものがあった． また アラビヤ のすべての 王たちおよび 國の 代官たちも 金銀を ソロモン に 携えてきた．
  5. ソロモン 王は 延金の 大盾二百を 造った． その 大盾にはおのおの 六百 シケル の 延金を 用いた．
  1. The king used the algumwood to make steps for the temple of the LORD and for the royal palace, and to make harps and lyres for the musicians. Nothing like them had ever been seen in Judah.)
  2. King Solomon gave the queen of Sheba all she desired and asked for; he gave her more than she had brought to him. Then she left and returned with her retinue to her own country.
  3. The weight of the gold that Solomon received yearly was 666 talents,
  4. not including the revenues brought in by merchants and traders. Also all the kings of Arabia and the governors of the land brought gold and silver to Solomon.
  5. King Solomon made two hundred large shields of hammered gold; six hundred bekas of hammered gold went into each shield.
  1. また 延金の 小盾三百を 造った． 小盾にはおのおの 三百 シケル の 金を 用いた． 王はこれらを レバノン の 森の 家に 置いた．
  2. 王はまた 大きな 象牙の 玉座を 造り， 純金でこれをおおった．
  3. その 玉座には 六つの 段があり， また 金の 足台があって 共に 玉座につらなり， その 座する 所の 兩方に， ひじかけがあって， ひじかけのわきに 二つのししが 立っていた．
  4. また 十二のししが 六つの 段のおのおのの 兩側に 立っていた． このような 物はどこの 國でも 造られたことがなかった．
  5. ソロモン 王が 飮むときに 用いた 器はみな 金であった． また レバノン の 森の 家の 器もみな 純金であって， 銀は ソロモン の 世には 尊ばれなかった．
  1. He also made three hundred small shields of hammered gold, with three hundred bekas of gold in each shield. The king put them in the Palace of the Forest of Lebanon.
  2. Then the king made a great throne inlaid with ivory and overlaid with pure gold.
  3. The throne had six steps, and a footstool of gold was attached to it. On both sides of the seat were armrests, with a lion standing beside each of them.
  4. Twelve lions stood on the six steps, one at either end of each step. Nothing like it had ever been made for any other kingdom.
  5. All King Solomon's goblets were gold, and all the household articles in the Palace of the Forest of Lebanon were pure gold. Nothing was made of silver, because silver was considered of little value in Solomon's day.
  1. これは 王の 船が ヒラム のしもべたちを 乘せて タルシシ へ 行き， 三年ごとに 一度， その タルシシ の 船が 金， 銀， 象牙， さる， くじゃくを 載せて 來たからである．
  2. このように ソロモン 王は 富と 知惠において， 地のすべての 王にまさっていたので，
  3. 地のすべての 王は 神が ソロモン の 心に 授けられた 知惠を 聞こうとして ソロモン に 謁見を 求めた．
  4. 人¿はおのおの 贈り 物を 携えてきた． すなわち 銀の 器， 金の 器， 衣服， ¿藥， 香料， 馬， ¿馬など 年¿定まっていた．
  5. ソロモン は 馬と 戰車のために 馬屋四千と 騎兵一万二千を 持ち， これを 戰車の 町に 置き， また エルサレム の 王のもとに 置いた．
  1. The king had a fleet of trading ships manned by Hiram's men. Once every three years it returned, carrying gold, silver and ivory, and apes and baboons.
  2. King Solomon was greater in riches and wisdom than all the other kings of the earth.
  3. All the kings of the earth sought audience with Solomon to hear the wisdom God had put in his heart.
  4. Year after year, everyone who came brought a gift--articles of silver and gold, and robes, weapons and spices, and horses and mules.
  5. Solomon had four thousand stalls for horses and chariots, and twelve thousand horses, which he kept in the chariot cities and also with him in Jerusalem.
  1. 彼は ユフラテ 川から ペリシテ びとの 地と， エジプト の 境に 至るまでのすべての 王を 治めた．
  2. 王はまた 銀を 石のように エルサレム に 多くし， 香柏を 平野のいちじく 桑のように 多くした．

  4. ソロモン のそのほかの 始終の 行爲は， 預言者 ナタン の 書と， シロ びと アヒヤ の 預言と， 先見者 イド が ネバテ の 子 ヤラベアム について 述べた 默示のなかに， しるされているではないか．
  5. ソロモン は エルサレム で 四十年の 間 イスラエル の 全地を 治めた．
  1. He ruled over all the kings from the River to the land of the Philistines, as far as the border of Egypt.
  2. The king made silver as common in Jerusalem as stones, and cedar as plentiful as sycamore-fig trees in the foothills.
  3. Solomon's horses were imported from Egypt and from all other countries.
  4. As for the other events of Solomon's reign, from beginning to end, are they not written in the records of Nathan the prophet, in the prophecy of Ahijah the Shilonite and in the visions of Iddo the seer concerning Jeroboam son of Nebat?
  5. Solomon reigned in Jerusalem over all Israel forty years.
  1. ソロモン はその 先祖たちと 共に 眠って， 父 ダビデ の 町に 葬られ， その 子 レハベアム が 代って 王となった．
  1. Then he rested with his fathers and was buried in the city of David his father. And Rehoboam his son succeeded him as king.
