- 兄弟たちよ． 物の 考えかたでは， 子供となってはいけない． 惡事については 幼な 子となるのはよいが， 考えかたでは， おとなとなりなさい．
- 律法にこう 書いてある， 「わたしは， 異國の 舌と 異國のくちびるとで， この 民に 語るが， それでも， 彼らはわたしに 耳を 傾けない， と 主が 仰せになる 」．
- このように， 異言は 信者のためではなく 未信者のためのしるしであるが， 預言は 未信者のためではなく 信者のためのしるしである．
- もし 全敎會が 一緖に 集まって， 會員が 異言を 語っているところに， 初心者か 不信者かがはいってきたら， 彼らはあなたがたが 氣が 變になったと 言うだろう．
- しかし， 全員が 預言をしているところに， 不信者か 初心者がはいってきたら， 彼の 良心はみんなの 者に 責められ， みんなの 者にさばかれ，

- Brothers, stop thinking like children. In regard to evil be infants, but in your thinking be adults.
- In the Law it is written: "Through men of strange tongues and through the lips of foreigners I will speak to this people, but even then they will not listen to me," says the Lord.
- Tongues, then, are a sign, not for believers but for unbelievers; prophecy, however, is for believers, not for unbelievers.
- So if the whole church comes together and everyone speaks in tongues, and some who do not understand or some unbelievers come in, will they not say that you are out of your mind?
- But if an unbeliever or someone who does not understandcomes in while everybody is prophesying, he will be convinced by all that he is a sinner and will be judged by all,

- その 心の 秘密があばかれ， その 結果， ひれ 伏して 神を 拜み， 「まことに， 神があなたがたのうちにいます 」と 告白するに 至るであろう．
- すると， 兄弟たちよ． どうしたらよいのか． あなたがたが 一緖に 集まる 時， 各自はさんびを 歌い， 敎をなし， 啓示を 告げ， 異言を 語り， それを 解くのであるが， すべては 德を 高めるためにすべきである．
- もし 異言を 語る 者があれば， ふたりか， 多くて 三人の 者が， 順¿に 語り， そして， ひとりがそれを 解くべきである．
- もし 解く 者がいない 時には， 敎會では 默っていて， 自分に 對しまた 神に 對して 語っているべきである．
- 預言をする 者の 場合にも， ふたりか 三人かが 語り， ほかの 者はそれを 吟味すべきである．

- and the secrets of his heart will be laid bare. So he will fall down and worship God, exclaiming, "God is really among you!"
- What then shall we say, brothers? When you come together, everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. All of these must be done for the strengthening of the church.
- If anyone speaks in a tongue, two--or at the most three--should speak, one at a time, and someone must interpret.
- If there is no interpreter, the speaker should keep quiet in the church and speak to himself and God.
- Two or three prophets should speak, and the others should weigh carefully what is said.

- しかし， 席にいる 他の 者が 啓示を 受けた 場合には， 初めの 者は 默るがよい．
- あなたがたは， みんなが 學びみんなが 勸めを 受けるために， ひとりずつ 殘らず 預言をすることができるのだから．
- かつ， 預言者の 靈は 預言者に 服從するものである．
- 神は 無秩序の 神ではなく， 平和の 神である． 聖徒たちのすべての 敎會で 行われているように，
- 婦人たちは 敎會では 默っていなければならない． 彼らは 語ることが 許されていない． だから， 律法も 命じているように， 服從すべきである．

- And if a revelation comes to someone who is sitting down, the first speaker should stop.
- For you can all prophesy in turn so that everyone may be instructed and encouraged.
- The spirits of prophets are subject to the control of prophets.
- For God is not a God of disorder but of peace. As in all the congregations of the saints,
- women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says.

- もし 何か 學びたいことがあれば， 家で 自分の 夫に 尋ねるがよい． 敎會で 語るのは， 婦人にとっては 恥ずべきことである．
- それとも， 神の 言はあなたがたのところから 出たのか． あるいは， あなたがただけにきたのか．
- もしある 人が， 自分は 預言者か 靈の 人であると 思っているなら， わたしがあなたがたに 書いていることは， 主の 命令だと 認めるべきである．
- もしそれを 無視する 者があれば， その 人もまた 無視される．
- わたしの 兄弟たちよ． このようなわけだから， 預言することを 熱心に 求めなさい． また， 異言を 語ることを 妨げてはならない．

- If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.
- Did the word of God originate with you? Or are you the only people it has reached?
- If anybody thinks he is a prophet or spiritually gifted, let him acknowledge that what I am writing to you is the Lord's command.
- If he ignores this, he himself will be ignored.
- Therefore, my brothers, be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues.

- しかし， すべてのことを 適宜に， かつ 秩序を 正して 行うがよい．

- But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way.
