- こういうわけだから， わたしたちは 聞かされていることを， いっそう 强く 心に 留めねばならない． そうでないと， おし 流されてしまう．
- というのは， 御使たちをとおして 語られた 御言が 效力を 持ち， あらゆる 罪過と 不從順とに 對して 正當な 報いが 加えられたとすれば，
- わたしたちは， こんなに 尊い 救をなおざりにしては， どうして 報いをのがれることができようか． この 救は， 初め 主によって 語られたものであって， 聞いた 人¿からわたしたちにあかしされ，
- さらに 神も， しるしと 不思議とさまざまな 力あるわざとにより， また， 御旨に 從い 聖靈を 各自に 賜うことによって， あかしをされたのである．
- いったい， 神は， わたしたちがここで 語っているきたるべき 世界を， 御使たちに 服從させることは， なさらなかった．

- We must pay more careful attention, therefore, to what we have heard, so that we do not drift away.
- For if the message spoken by angels was binding, and every violation and disobedience received its just punishment,
- how shall we escape if we ignore such a great salvation? This salvation, which was first announced by the Lord, was confirmed to us by those who heard him.
- God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will.
- It is not to angels that he has subjected the world to come, about which we are speaking.

- 聖書はある 箇所で， こうあかししている， ／「人間が 何者だから， ／これを 御心に 留められるのだろうか． 人の 子が 何者だから， ／これをかえりみられるのだろうか．
- あなたは， しばらくの 間， ／彼を 御使たちよりも 低い 者となし， ／榮光とほまれとを 冠として 彼に 與え，
- 万物をその 足の 下に 服從させて 下さった 」． 「万物を 彼に 服從させて 下さった 」という 以上， 服從しないものは， 何ひとつ 殘されていないはずである． しかし， 今もなお 万物が 彼に 服從している 事實を， わたしたちは 見ていない．
- ただ， 「しばらくの 間， 御使たちよりも 低い 者とされた 」 イエス が， 死の 苦しみのゆえに， 榮光とほまれとを 冠として 與えられたのを 見る． それは， 彼が 神の 惠みによって， すべての 人のために 死を 味わわれるためであった．
- なぜなら， 万物の 歸すべきかた， 万物を 造られたかたが， 多くの 子らを 榮光に 導くのに， 彼らの 救の 君を， 苦難をとおして 全うされたのは， 彼にふさわしいことであったからである．

- But there is a place where someone has testified: "What is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?
- You made him a little lower than the angels; you crowned him with glory and honor
- and put everything under his feet?In putting everything under him, God left nothing that is not subject to him. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to him.
- But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.
- In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering.

- 實に， きよめるかたも， きよめられる 者たちも， 皆ひとりのかたから 出ている． それゆえに 主は， 彼らを 兄弟と 呼ぶことを 恥とされない．
- すなわち， ／「わたしは， 御名をわたしの 兄弟たちに 告げ 知らせ， ／敎會の 中で， あなたをほめ 歌おう 」／と 言い，
- また， ／「わたしは， 彼により 賴む 」， ／また， ／「見よ， わたしと， 神がわたしに 賜わった 子らとは 」と 言われた．
- このように， 子たちは 血と 肉とに 共にあずかっているので， イエス もまた 同樣に， それらをそなえておられる． それは， 死の 力を 持つ 者， すなわち 惡魔を， ご 自分の 死によって 滅ぼし，
- 死の 恐怖のために 一生涯， 奴隷となっていた 者たちを， 解き 放つためである．

- Both the one who makes men holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers.
- He says, "I will declare your name to my brothers; in the presence of the congregation I will sing your praises."
- And again, "I will put my trust in him." And again he says, "Here am I, and the children God has given me."
- Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might destroy him who holds the power of death--that is, the devil--
- and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death.

- 確かに， 彼は 天使たちを 助けることはしないで， アブラハム の 子孫を 助けられた．
- そこで， イエス は， 神のみまえにあわれみ 深い 忠實な 大祭司となって， 民の 罪をあがなうために， あらゆる 点において 兄弟たちと 同じようにならねばならなかった．
- 主ご 自身， 試鍊を 受けて 苦しまれたからこそ， 試練の 中にある 者たちを 助けることができるのである．

- For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham's descendants.
- For this reason he had to be made like his brothers in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement forthe sins of the people.
- Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.
