- 以上述べたことの 要点は， このような 大祭司がわたしたちのためにおられ， 天にあって 大能者の 御座の 右に 座し，
- 人間によらず 主によって 設けられた 眞の 幕屋なる 聖所で 仕えておられる， ということである．
- おおよそ， 大祭司が 立てられるのは， 供え 物やいけにえをささげるためにほかならない． したがって， この 大祭司もまた， 何かささぐべき 物を 持っておられねばならない．
- そこで， もし 彼が 地上におられたなら， 律法にしたがって 供え 物をささげる 祭司たちが， 現にいるのだから， 彼は 祭司ではあり 得なかったであろう．
- 彼らは， 天にある 聖所のひな 型と 影とに 仕えている 者にすぎない． それについては， モ ― セ が 幕屋を 建てようとしたとき， 御告げを 受け， 「山で 示された 型どおりに， 注意してそのいっさいを 作りなさい 」と 言われたのである．

- The point of what we are saying is this: We do have such a high priest, who sat down at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in heaven,
- and who serves in the sanctuary, the true tabernacle set up by the Lord, not by man.
- Every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices, and so it was necessary for this one also to have something to offer.
- If he were on earth, he would not be a priest, for there are already men who offer the gifts prescribed by the law.
- They serve at a sanctuary that is a copy and shadow of what is in heaven. This is why Moses was warned when he was about to build the tabernacle: "See to it that you make everything according to the pattern shown you on the mountain."

- ところが キリスト は， はるかにすぐれた 務を 得られたのである． それは， さらにまさった 約束に 基いて 立てられた， さらにまさった 契約の 仲保者となられたことによる．
- もし 初めの 契約に 欠けたところがなかったなら， あとのものが 立てられる 余地はなかったであろう．
- ところが， 神は 彼らを 責めて 言われた， ／「主は 言われる， 見よ， ／わたしが イスラエル の 家および ユダ の 家と， ／新しい 契約を 結ぶ 日が 來る．
- それは， わたしが 彼らの 先祖たちの 手をとって， ／ エジプト の 地から 導き 出した 日に， ／彼らと 結んだ 契約のようなものではない． 彼らがわたしの 契約にとどまることをしないので， ／わたしも 彼らをかえりみなかったからであると， ／主が 言われる．
- わたしが， それらの 日の 後， イスラエル の 家と 立て ／ようとする 契約はこれである， と 主が 言われる． すなわち， わたしの 律法を 彼らの 思いの 中に 入れ， ／彼らの 心に 書きつけよう． こうして， わたしは 彼らの 神となり， ／彼らはわたしの 民となるであろう．

- But the ministry Jesus has received is as superior to theirs as the covenant of which he is mediator is superior to the old one, and it is founded on better promises.
- For if there had been nothing wrong with that first covenant, no place would have been sought for another.
- But God found fault with the people and said: "The time is coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.
- It will not be like the covenant I made with their forefathers when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they did not remain faithful to my covenant, and I turned away from them, declares the Lord.
- This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time, declares the Lord. I will put my laws in their minds and write them on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people.

- 彼らは， それぞれ， その 同胞に， ／また， それぞれ， その 兄弟に， ／主を 知れ， と 言って 敎えることはなくなる． なぜなら， 大なる 者から 小なる 者に 至るまで， ／彼らはことごとく， ／わたしを 知るようになるからである．
- わたしは， 彼らの 不義をあわれみ， ／もはや， 彼らの 罪を 思い 出すことはしない 」．
- 神は， 「新しい 」と 言われたことによって， 初めの 契約を 古いとされたのである． 年を 經て 古びたものは， やがて 消えていく．

- No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying, 'Know the Lord,' because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest.
- For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more."
- By calling this covenant "new," he has made the first one obsolete; and what is obsolete and aging will soon disappear.
