- いったい， 律法はきたるべき 良いことの 影をやどすにすぎず， そのものの 眞のかたちをそなえているものではないから， 年ごとに 引きつづきささげられる 同じようないけにえによっても， みまえに 近づいて 來る 者たちを， 全うすることはできないのである．
- もしできたとすれば， 儀式にたずさわる 者たちは， 一度きよめられた 以上， もはや 罪の 自覺がなくなるのであるから， ささげ 物をすることがやんだはずではあるまいか．
- しかし 實際は， 年ごとに， いけにえによって 罪の 思い 出がよみがえって 來るのである．
- なぜなら， 雄牛ややぎなどの 血は， 罪を 除き 去ることができないからである．
- それだから， キリスト がこの 世にこられたとき， 次のように 言われた， ／「あなたは， いけにえやささげ 物を 望まれないで， ／わたしのために， からだを 備えて 下さった．

- The law is only a shadow of the good things that are coming--not the realities themselves. For this reason it can never, by the same sacrifices repeated endlessly year after year, make perfect those who draw near to worship.
- If it could, would they not have stopped being offered? For the worshipers would have been cleansed once for all, and would no longer have felt guilty for their sins.
- But those sacrifices are an annual reminder of sins,
- because it is impossible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.
- Therefore, when Christ came into the world, he said: "Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me;

- あなたは §祭や 罪祭を 好まれなかった．
- その 時， わたしは 言った， ／『神よ， わたしにつき， ／卷物の 書物に 書いてあるとおり， ／見よ， 御旨を 行うためにまいりました 』」．
- ここで， 初めに， 「あなたは， いけにえとささげ 物と §祭と 罪祭と（すなわち， 律法に 從ってささげられるもの ）を 望まれず， 好まれもしなかった 」とあり，
- 次に， 「見よ， わたしは 御旨を 行うためにまいりました 」とある． すなわち， 彼は， 後のものを 立てるために， 初めのものを 廢止されたのである．
- この 御旨に 基きただ 一度 イエス · キリスト のからだがささげられたことによって， わたしたちはきよめられたのである．

- with burnt offerings and sin offerings you were not pleased.
- Then I said, 'Here I am--it is written about me in the scroll-- I have come to do your will, O God.' "
- First he said, "Sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not desire, nor were you pleased with them" (although the law required them to be made).
- Then he said, "Here I am, I have come to do your will." He sets aside the first to establish the second.
- And by that will, we have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

- こうして， すべての 祭司は 立って 日ごとに 儀式を 行い， たびたび 同じようないけにえをささげるが， それらは 決して 罪を 除き 去ることはできない．
- しかるに， キリスト は 多くの 罪のために 一つの 永遠のいけにえをささげた 後， 神の 右に 座し，
- それから， 敵をその 足台とするときまで， 待っておられる．
- 彼は 一つのささげ 物によって， きよめられた 者たちを 永遠に 全うされたのである．
- 聖靈もまた， わたしたちにあかしをして，

- Day after day every priest stands and performs his religious duties; again and again he offers the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.
- But when this priest had offered for all time one sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God.
- Since that time he waits for his enemies to be made his footstool,
- because by one sacrifice he has made perfect forever those who are being made holy.
- The Holy Spirit also testifies to us about this. First he says:

- 「わたしが， それらの 日の 後， ／彼らに 對して 立てようとする 契約はこれであると， ／主が 言われる． わたしの 律法を 彼らの 心に 與え， ／彼らの 思いのうちに 書きつけよう 」／と 言い，
- さらに， 「もはや， 彼らの 罪と 彼らの 不法とを， 思い 出すことはしない 」と 述べている．
- これらのことに 對するゆるしがある 以上， 罪のためのささげ 物は， もはやあり 得ない．

- "This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds."
- Then he adds: "Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more."
- And where these have been forgiven, there is no longer any sacrifice for sin.
