- こういうわけで， わたしたちは， このような 多くの 證人に 雲のように 圍まれているのであるから， いっさいの 重荷と， からみつく 罪とをかなぐり 捨てて， わたしたちの 參加すべき 競走を， 耐え 忍んで 走りぬこうではないか．
- 信仰の 導き 手であり， またその 完成者である イエス を 仰ぎ 見つつ， 走ろうではないか． 彼は， 自分の 前におかれている 喜びのゆえに， 恥をもいとわないで 十字架を 忍び， 神の 御座の 右に 座するに 至ったのである．
- あなたがたは， 弱り 果てて 意氣そそうしないために， 罪人らのこのような 反抗を 耐え 忍んだかたのことを， 思いみるべきである．
- あなたがたは， 罪と 取り 組んで 戰う 時， まだ 血を 流すほどの 抵抗をしたことがない．
- また 子たちに 對するように， あなたがたに 語られたこの 勸めの 言葉を 忘れている， ／「わたしの 子よ， ／主の 訓練を 輕んじてはいけない． 主に 責められるとき， 弱り 果ててはならない．

- Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.
- Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

- あなたがたは 訓練として 耐え 忍びなさい． 神はあなたがたを， 子として 取り 扱っておられるのである． いったい， 父に 訓練されない 子があるだろうか．
- だれでも 受ける 訓練が， あなたがたに 與えられないとすれば， それこそ， あなたがたは 私生子であって， ほんとうの 子ではない．
- その 上， 肉親の 父はわたしたちを 訓練するのに， なお 彼をうやまうとすれば， なおさら， わたしたちは， たましいの 父に 服從して， 眞に 生きるべきではないか．
- 肉親の 父は， しばらくの 間， 自分の 考えに 從って 訓練を 與えるが， たましいの 父は， わたしたちの 益のため， そのきよさにあずからせるために， そうされるのである．

- because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son."
- Endure hardship as discipline; God is treating you as sons. For what son is not disciplined by his father?
- If you are not disciplined (and everyone undergoes discipline), then you are illegitimate children and not true sons.
- Moreover, we have all had human fathers who disciplined us and we respected them for it. How much more should we submit to the Father of our spirits and live!
- Our fathers disciplined us for a little while as they thought best; but God disciplines us for our good, that we may share in his holiness.

- また， 足のなえている 者が 踏みはずすことなく， むしろいやされるように， あなたがたの 足のために， まっすぐな 道をつくりなさい．

- No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
- Therefore, strengthen your feeble arms and weak knees.
- "Make level paths for your feet," so that the lame may not be disabled, but rather healed.
